A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Riku shrugged a little, though his eyebrows furrowed. "I tried not to let them get in the way of battle," he admitted quietly. "But it didn't work. I either screwed up or got hurt in the process." Of course, he didn't regret it, except for the time Lightning saved him and gave up her freedom. He still felt awful about that.

"...Oh," Light said in understanding. That was something that made sense. Even she, as a soldier, got concerned about Riku in battle a few times and let her guard down. Did that show that she had feelings for him for a while too?

Riku nodded a little, keeping his eyes on the ceiling and his one hand on his stomach. He wasn't sure how Light was taking this information. But now that she knew his feelings, would she admit hers?

Instead of speaking, Light just moved closer to Riku, turning on her side. She lifted a hand and set it on Riku's on his stomach before she shut her eyes. She may not have known when she started having feelings for him, but she knew that his presence had always comforted her. After she got done despising him, anyway.

Riku lowered his gaze to his stomach, seeing Light's hand now resting atop his. He turned his head to look at her. Did this small touch explain enough?

Light opened her eyes after a few moments and met Riku's gaze, looking at him from behind her bangs. "You're a complicated guy, Riku," she finally said. Earlier, he had said that she was complex, but he was just as complicated as she was. And secretive.

"I'm not taking that as a good thing," Riku said softly, his eyes stuck on Lightning's. Was it the way she said it, or the thoughts he was having that made him take those words as something he shouldn't be proud of?

"It's not a bad thing," Light assured him softly. "I'm just saying...the first day I met you, I wouldn't have ever expected anything like this to happen. I didn't know then that there were so many sides to you." For the two of them to actually get along and have feelings for each other...it was shocking.

"So you thought I was some ignorant jerk who wanted to give you a hard time?" Riku asked, one corner of his mouth turning up ever so slightly. He remembered how she talked to him the first time she was on the Islands. He wasn't exactly nice either, but still.

"Basically," Light responded with a faint smirk. She had thought many other not-so-nice things about him too, but she wouldn't bother verbalizing those. She didn't see Riku as the same person she met on the Islands so long ago.

Riku's smirk grew at that, the boy releasing a "hmph" at Light's response. "Figured," he said quietly, his eyes staying on hers. He failed to notice the rain until now, which was still pouring down on the roof. But he didn't need power, and didn't need to go outside. He was content where he was.

"I'm sure you didn't think too highly of me, either," Light said with a faint smirk still present on her lips. Riku really hadn't liked her when she came to the island. But the feeling had been mutual; she had despised him.

Riku actually smiled then, but he turned his head to look up at the ceiling again. "You're right. I didn't," he answered. He hadn't liked Light at all then. He'd thought she was someone he needed to watch out for, so nothing went wrong.

Light hummed softly, moving closer to Riku and leaning her head against his upper arm and shoulder. That's changed now, huh? she silently thought. They weren't enemies, and they weren't just people who put up with each other. They genuinely liked each other.

"But," Riku started upon feeling Lightning move closer to him, "...I don't feel the same way anymore." His small smile remained as he took in the feeling of Lightning being so close. He liked her...a lot.

"I'm glad to hear that," Light said softly, a small smile on her lips as she lifted her gaze to Riku. Clearly he didn't feel the same as he used to, but she still liked hearing it just because she was glad that Riku returned her newly-found feelings.

Riku hummed softly, turning his head to gaze at Lightning, who was much closer than before. "Like I said, I'm fond of you," he replied quietly. He wouldn't lie about something like that, ever. He meant it.

"And in case I haven't said it, I'm fond of you too," Light responded softly without removing her gaze from Riku. He was so sweet. She was still surprised at how open he was being about his feelings now, since he kept a lot to himself in the past.

Riku's lips spread into a small smile at that. Sora would call him a sap if he heard this, but he didn't care. "Good. Then we won't have a problem with this," he said softly, threading his fingers through Light's as her hand remained atop his. Riku wasn't sure what the others would think, but he doubted most would mind; they would be happy for him and Lightning, right?

Light hummed in response, letting her eyes shut in comfort as her head rested against Riku. She was comfortable, hearing the fire cackling, the rain falling, and the soft thunder outside. But she was mostly content just because she was with him.

Riku's smile softened, his eyes doing the same as they lingered on Lightning's face. But after a minute, he let his head relax in his hand again, staring up at the ceiling. He listened to the crackle of the fire and the rain of the storm, knowing that it was about time something went right after such a gruesome period of time.

Light's breathing eventually became smoother than it already was, the girl tired after everything that happened lately. And Riku's warmth and comfort wasn't exactly helping her stay awake. She was falling asleep now, and she hoped that was alright.

Riku listened to Light's quiet breathing beside him, which eventually blended with the other noises around him. But it was all calming to him, and he was welcoming it; after the situation that had finally blown over, it was time to relax.

Light lost consciousness a few moments later, her hand still with Riku's and her head still against his shoulder. She wasn't afraid of missing out on anything, or waking up to find Riku gone. She knew he wasn't going to leave her anytime soon.

Riku heard Light's even breathing next to him after another few minutes passed, and because of her loose grip on his hand, he knew she was sleeping. That was okay; he was content with lying here anyway. He would stay close.
