Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning

Light rolled over under the sheets of her bed, hearing the birds chirp outside. It was sunny now, morning upon them and the storm gone. She had surprisingly slept ever since she fell asleep on Riku yesterday. She must have been more tired than she realized.

Riku descended the stairs of his home, waking up later than usual. He supposed that it was because of all the stress from yesterday with Maleficent that he had been so exhausted. The boy felt Jasmine at his heels as he reached the first floor, running a hand through his silver hair. It was quiet, so he knew his parents were gone for work and that Light wasn't up yet. The silence was nothing new; he was used to it.

Light opened her eyes once she woke up, blinking when she saw her surroundings. She was in her bedroom? Her bedroom...at Riku's house, where she now lived. Right? She pushed herself up into a sitting position, wondering how she got here. The last thing she remembered was falling asleep in the living room when it was storming out. Was that...yesterday?
Riku walked into the kitchen, Jasmine racing ahead of him to get to her bowl. It was the same routine every morning, so he knew that he had a job to do. The boy grabbed the dog food from nearby and poured her some for breakfast, which she immediately started eating. The boy then looked around the clean kitchen, rubbing his fist over his eye. Given the emptiness in his stomach, he knew it was time for him to cook some breakfast too, but not just for himself. Light... He was going to cook for her from now on as well.

That had to have been yesterday. Everything with Maleficent, Barbossa and the other villains...and everything with Riku. Lightning remembered now, even if she didn't want to. She yawned, pushing herself out of the bed and going to take a shower. She'd get cleaned up and then make breakfast for herself and Riku, if he wasn't up and already fed yet.
Riku ran his hand through his hair, knowing that once he ate he would have to shower. He approached the fridge and started looking, trying to decide what it is he would make for breakfast this morning. After all, he was cooking for two now, not just himself.

After taking her shower, Light put on her regular outfit and went downstairs. She tiredly ruffled her wet pink hair so that it would set in its normal place, though her thoughts were elsewhere. Was it really just yesterday that she first woke up here, and away from Maleficent? After over a month of service to her, it was still so hard to grasp. It was almost even harder to grasp that she and Riku had been all cute with each other yesterday. She didn't regret it, but...did he?
Riku decided that pancakes would work for today, so he grabbed the supplies he needed before setting it on the counter, then moving to grab a mixing bowl. He heard Jasmine still eating nearby, something familiar. But this feeling inside him... It was so different.

Light descended the stairs and went into the kitchen, still feeling sleepy. But when she came into the room, she woke up. She saw Riku standing over at the counter, already awake and...making breakfast?
Riku was lost in thought, so he was unaware of the other presence in the room. As he cracked a few eggs, he thought about the day before. Did he really kiss Lightning? Twice? The memory sent his heart fluttering, which made him feel unlike himself. He usually wasn't so...soft. It was different.

Light tried to look past Riku to see what he was making, but instead of seeing the bowl, she saw his well-toned muscles. The fact that he never wore sleeved shirts always showed off his arms, and she had seen them countless times before. But now she felt...different. He was so strong, but he was humble enough to do something as mundane as making breakfast?
Riku put the other ingredients in the bowl and then started to mix, still lost in thought and still unaware of Light's presence. If he had known she was there, he would have acted as different as he felt; softer, shy. He felt himself smile a little at the thought of what happened yesterday, and how nice it was. Wonder if I'll ever get used to this.

"...Hey," Light greeted softly, taking a few more soft steps into the room. He didn't have to make breakfast on his own; she could help. Even if Serah was the better cook in their family.
Riku stopped mixing the ingredients, his head turning sharply toward the doorway. His smile faded slightly from surprise, but it came back a little at the sight of Light. "Morning," he greeted with a nod. He saw that her hair was damp, so he guessed she just showered.

"...You need help with anything?" Light asked, approaching her...Her what? Boyfriend? Friend? Could she technically call him her Riku now? So many questions, but she couldn't focus on anything except his presence.
Riku glanced down at the bowl he had his hand on, realizing what she was talking about. "Nah, I got it," he replied softly, his eyes finding Light again as he shook his head. She could go ahead and take a seat; he could handle breakfast.

"You sure?" Light asked softly, standing beside Riku. "You don't have to make food all the time for me..." He always made her food, but she could take care of herself.
Riku shrugged a little, his smile softening a little. "I don't mind," he answered honestly. He was used to cooking, and cooking for her wouldn't be a problem. He did it once before, and now, since they were...something more, it felt right. She was a guest, or was she now technically part of the household?

Light smiled faintly, humming and nodding. That was the only response she could think of, and she didn't want to argue with Riku over something so silly. He wouldn't change for her, anyway, since he was so stubborn.
Riku's eyes stayed on Light for a few more seconds, but then he diverted his gaze in silence. He lifted his hand from the bowl to scratch his cheek, unknowingly getting some flour on his skin. "Um..." When that was the only thing that left his mouth, he felt like an idiot. What was wrong with him? Riku knew he wasn't usually like this.

Light's faint smile remained on her lips, her gaze going to the flour on Riku's cheek. "You have some, um..." She pointed to her own cheek in reference, meaning to say that Riku just got some powder on his cheek.
Riku's eyes found Lightning again, and when he saw her point to his cheek, he lifted an eyebrow. After a minute it finally registered what she was talking about, and he rubbed the powder off against his upper arm and shoulder. Pull it together.

Light's small smile widened a little, the girl amused by Riku's reaction. But..."You missed some," she said, lifting her hand to his face. She set her hand on his lower cheek by his jaw and used her thumb to wipe at the last of the flour, making it go away.
Riku's eyes found Lightning again at her touch, which also made him smile shyly. His...his girl? Was that what she was? Or was she just his friend? Either way, his feelings were still strong. They always had been.

Light looked from her thumb to Riku's eyes, also seeing the shyness in his gaze. She felt the same appear in her own eyes, though she didn't remover her hand off his cheek. She liked feeling the skin of his cheek against her hand. That was alright, wasn't it?
