Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Riku's eyes widened, his grip on the back of the chair tightening automatically. The sight of Light's daring move caused that, the boy feeling protective of her and afraid for her life even if she was right next to him now, and this was only a video of her past.

Lightning secured herself on one of the vehicles before jumping to another, stabbing her sword into the top of the vehicle and gripping the handle for support as she moved down closer to the driver. "You're dead!" he said to her. But she only reached in and grabbed his arm, dragging him out of his seat. "You first!" she shouted, the soldier screaming once he was thrown out. Lightning jumped to the top of the vehicle and used her weight to slow it down and spin it around, riding side by side with Fang for a few moments before she moved onto another vehicle and kicked out the driver before he could do anything to stop her.
Riku could only watch the video in silence, stunned by Lightning's abilities. She was incredibly strong, tough, powerful. It was surprising to see so much of it at once, but he found it appealing all the same. It was attractive, to see that she could take care of herself and kick butt.

Lightning stood on the driver's seat and shot at another ship, hitting it before she herself was hit by another vehicle. It knocked her and the other guy off course, sending him flying. But she maintained control and leaned out the side, looking ahead and preparing for other targets. But the camera suddenly changed to a place with more action, focusing on Vanille getting blasted and then saved by Sazh.
Riku knew then that he wasn't as powerful as a Keyblade Master as he thought; there were people out there, ordinary people, who were just as powerful as him. He hadn't known any other magical powers but sorcery, Darkness, and the Keyblade. But l'Cie... The situation was totally different.

Lightning reappeared in the picture, flying because of the blast that hurt Vanille. "Odin!" she cried, her horse coming to her rescue. He jumped over the rubble and she landed on him, grasping his large weapon in one hand as he jumped over the falling rubble and she swung (and hit) every flying enemy that was in her fight. That was one of the most exciting fights of my life, Light thought as she watched the clip that was still going on.
Riku's hold on the chair loosened as he witnessed Lightning defeat numerous people that tried to stop her. Of course, they were no match. He admired her strength, seeing how she was practically fearless as she swung at every foe. He wished he could have been the same in the past.

Eventually, Lightning jumped off Odin and he turned back into a knight, the two of them working together flawlessly. He saved her from some falling building, and she saved him from enemy attacks. "Move it!" she cried breathlessly to one enemy, knocking them away in one hit. After a few seconds of that, he turned back into a horse and she swung around to get back onto him. "Let's go," she said, riding him as she went into the sunlight. The video feed left her and looked back to the destroyed race track before it ended suddenly, the camera apparently damaged or out of space to record things more.
Riku's eyes lingered on the screen even if the video was over, the boy in a stunned silence still. That was impressive and frightening at the same time. How much power did Lightning have? If it was any more than that, then he didn't know why he thought he had to protect her; she was obviously capable of doing it on her own.

Lightning only "hmphed" at the video, scrolling down to read the rest of the article. It was junk about how the course was damaged so severely because of the l'Cie and propaganda about how terrible l'Cie were and how they were going to destroy the world. She sighed, leaning back in the chair. Why wasn't she surprised at that?
"...I always thought you were tough," Riku said, standing up straight before turning and leaning against the computer desk. He crossed his arms over his chest. "That just proved it." He smirked at her now that he was no longer surprised, though some still lingered.

Light looked up at Riku, having almost forgotten that he was there. "Hm," she hummed with a faint smirk. He probably just saw some of her finest moments, though there were other great battles she fought too. But she would do more research later on those. She actually felt...shy, now that Riku knew how tough she was.
Riku looked at Light, his eyebrows furrowing slightly. So much power was within someone so thin and small, but he shouldn't have been surprised. Things were never as they seemed.

"...What?" Light asked shyly, suddenly feeling afraid that Riku would view her differently now. She was still the same girl that he was fond of, only now he knew about her fighting capabilities. It was just something she never had the chance to show off because of Maleficent poisoning her and then using her as a servant.
Riku shook his head, thought his gaze didn't change. "Nothing," he assured her softly. "Just thinking." He was so used to the girls around him being, well, normal. Aqua may have been an exception, but still... This was something he wasn't used to.

Light tilted her head faintly, still concerned. "Thinking...?" she prodded, ignoring the computer now to focus on Riku Did this change anything between them? She really hoped not.
Riku nodded once. "It's nothing bad. I'm just..." He trailed off, not sure how to express what he was actually thinking about. He saw that Light looked worried, but there was no reason to be. "I'm just a little...surprised, I guess."

Light only hummed, not knowing how else to respond. He was surprised by her fighting abilities? Her allies? Her past? She felt he could be surprised about all of that, since she really didn't go into detail about her past. She didn't want to.
Riku didn't know what else to say other than that, so he didn't speak at all. He actually felt a little insecure. His girlfri--Lightning seemed tougher than him. Of course, he wasn't going to let his dignity get in the way of the relationship they had, whatever it was. That would be stupid of him. She was too great to lose.

Light closed out of the program on the computer, feeling awkward now in the silence. She stood herself up and scratched at her cheek without thought, glancing back at the computer before she looked back to Riku. So...what now?
Riku looked at Lightning still, but his eyes softened. She didn't seem comfortable, and that was probably his fault. "Sorry," he said, lifting an arm to rub the back of his neck as he looked away. "I'm not used to seeing girls be able to...hold their own so well in battle."
  • Author
"Uh, it's alright," Light said, nodding faintly in understanding as she looked away as well. It was understandable...But she couldn't change her ways, nor did she want to. She was a soldier at heart.
Riku glanced back up at Lightning, and he let his one arm over his chest fall and the other leave his neck, reaching out for Lightning instead. His hand found her wrist, but his eyes stayed on her face. He wanted her to know something. Something important.
  • Author
Lightning hummed shortly in surprise when Riku grasped her wrist, her eyes automatically wandering down to that before she looked up and met Riku's eyes again. He looked like he had something to say...What could it be?
Riku gently pulled on Lightning's wrist, bringing her closer. He was still leaning against the desk, so he lifted his free arm and wrapped it around her lower back. "What I just saw..." he started softly, looking at her now that she was closer. "It doesn't change anything."
