A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Light felt comforted by Riku's embrace and his words, a small smile appearing on her lips as she embraced him back. She looked back up at him and nodded faintly, very glad to hear that.

Riku saw that Lightning understood, and he was relieved. He could read the expression on her face earlier, and it was worry over what he thought. It had to be... He released her wrist and brought his other arm forward, wrapping it around her lower back next to the other.

Once Riku released her wrist, Light wrapped that arm around him as well, turning her head and letting it rest on his shoulder without thought. She really liked being in his arms, even if she was a very tough soldier. She had a softer heart that was now being revealed thanks to Riku.

Riku was content like this, to his surprise. He never thought of being intimate with anyone, not until Lightning walked into his life. It hadn't been pleasant at first, but after what he just witnessed her go through in the past, he shouldn't have expected it to be well. If he'd known that back then, things could have been so much easier.

Lightning allowed herself to close her eyes, though she wondered again what exactly she and Riku were. Were they boyfriend and girlfriend? They couldn't just be friends, not after their kisses and romantic behavior. That didn't seem right to her.

Riku lowered his chin, staring at Lightning's shoulder armor. She was tough and didn't let people push her around, and he admired that kind of strength. She was older too, and probably wiser. But it didn't change how he felt for her romantically. Riku liked the warmth she provided when she was this close.

We'll sort it out later, Light thought while keeping her eyes shut. Right now, it didn't matter if she and Riku had a defined relationship. They were stuck with each other, and fond of each other. To her, that said enough.

Riku turned his face toward Lightning then, the lower part of his cheek touching her pink hair. Even if they weren't actually declared a "couple" yet, he felt that their actions said enough. He was holding her in a more affectionate way than he would Kairi or Namine, so that had to mean something.

Light felt a faint smile tug at her lips when she felt Riku's cheek on her head, and she found it adorable. He was a big softy at heart, wasn't he? She didn't really know...she had a lot more to learn about Riku. He was mysterious, but so was she. Their relationship would be...interesting.

Riku's arms tightened a little around Lightning. He didn't say anything, though questions did fill his head. Could he call her Claire now that they were so close? Or would that take more time? How often could he kiss her and hold her like this? Was she his girl now? He wasn't sure how to ask, or even if he could. It would be embarrassing if he did.

Light kept her eyes shut when Riku held her a little more tightly, and she remained still in his arms. She didn't know about the questions in his head, but if she had, she would have been willing to answer them. They had to be open with each other...right?

"...What're you thinking about?" Riku asked softly, his voice quiet due to her close proximity. If what Light was thinking led to his own questions, then that was okay. But he didn't think he could ask them outright.

Light opened her eyes, gazing out at the rest of the room. "Us," she responded softly. She wanted to know what they were and where they would be going from here. Were they a couple? Could she give him her full trust? She trusted him as an ally and friend, but as a romantic interest? That would be hard.

Riku's hand moved a little up Lightning's back, not expecting that answer but glad to hear it at the same time. So was he. "What about us?" he said then, his voice the same volume.

Because of Riku's head on top of hers, Light didn't move to look at him, instead looking towards the floor. "I'm wondering how to define 'us'," she responded softly. Were they in a relationship? Or not?

Riku's eyes went to a window nearby at that. "Mm," he hummed softly. "I was wondering the same thing." It felt more complicated than it probably was, but this was new to him, and Lightning too. Or so he thought. It wasn't the easiest thing to decipher.

"So...what do you think?" Light asked after a few moments. She sort of wanted him to be the first to say it, just because she believed men should step up in relationships. But were they even in a relationship? That was the burning question.

Riku smiled a little and lifted his head away from her, looking down at her instead. "Honestly..." he said, his eyes on Lightning's face, "something more sounds...appealing." He wasn't sure how to word it, so that was the best he could come up with other than "I like you". That would have been elementary.

Light looked up at Riku without loosening the embrace, her eyes finding his. "I don't think we could be just friends after yesterday," she said with a shy smile. He kissed her...twice. And she fell asleep on him, and kissed him back. That wasn't something friends did.

Riku's smile remained, soft and slight. "I think you're right," he agreed quietly. He kissed her more than once, laid with her in front of the fire, and was holding her so close at this moment. It couldn't be excused on something that held no meaning.

"So...should we just...make it official?" Light asked, shyness still present in her eyes. This relationship was different than anything she ever experienced before, and she had a feeling that Riku was the same. He didn't seem too confident about anything concerning the two of them.

Riku's smile softened even more. "I'm up for it," he admitted honestly. "...Are you?" If she wasn't, then he would feel like a fool. But something in his heart told him that Lightning wouldn't play a game like that.

Light smiled softly up at Riku, gently squeezing him as she embraced him. "Yeah, I'm up for it," she responded quietly. It was so cute how he said it that way, confident in himself but not in her response. She didn't know why she found it so attractive that he wasn't trying to put words in her mouth or assume things.

Riku's lips spread into a slightly bigger smile, his grasp on Lightning tigthening a little at her answer. That was...wonderful. She was his...his girl. The feeling that the thought brought upon his heart was one he never felt before, but he liked it.

Lightning stood on her toes a little bit and gave Riku a quick peck on the lips, a shy smile present on her own lips once she stood at her normal height. She silently looked up at her...boyfriend, feeling glad that she knew how she and Riku were connected now.
