A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Riku chuckled at the kiss, his shyness kicking in, which was rare. He looked away for a second, but his eyes fell back on Lightning again. It was alright. She didn't mind, did she?

"It's weird, isn't it?" Light asked softly, her eyes staying on Riku's. She knew how he was feeling; they were both normally so confident, but now they were timid with each other. Neither of them knew how to act with each other sometimes, but they would learn. They were stuck with each other.

"A little bit," Riku said softly, shrugging a little. "Hopefully I'll get used to it." If he didn't, there would be a problem between him and Lightning. Right now, that was the last thing he wanted.

"Hopefully," Light responded with a faint nod. She liked what she had with Riku--He was a trusted ally and friend before they got really close, and she knew he didn't become her friend seeking anything deeper than that. They just sort of clicked, and now they were together.

Riku smiled a little more, but it faded when a question came to mind. "So, I have something to ask," he said, his eyes focusing on Light's. "I see that very few people have the privelege of calling you by your real name. Will I...be one of those now?" It didn't really matter, but he would feel closer to her if he did.

Light's small smile faded away till it didn't exist, the answer apparent in her mind. "Riku, not even Ven calls me by that name anymore," she stated softly. She asked Ven to call her Light because she really didn't want to be known by her old name.

Riku's eyebrows furrowed slightly, his facing seeming to ask the question for him: so that's a no? Was that her reasoning? He didn't really understand.

"...Use discretion," Light finally said at Riku's look. She wouldn't say no to him using her old name, but she wouldn't say that it was okay. It was something that she'd have to get used to, even if he did call her by her real name once before. It was before he kissed her for the first time.

"I won't use it then," Riku said then, shaking his head a little. "Not if it makes you uncomfortable." That was one of the last things he wanted between them right now--a disagreement. They just officially became a couple. He wasn't going to ruin that already.

"I'm not banning you from using it," Light said, faintly shaking her head. "For now, I just don't want it to be a casual thing." That would make her uncomfortable, because she was still trying to escape that past. She was Lightning, not Claire.

Riku nodded a little, accepting that for now. "Alright," he said softly. He wouldn't use it often, probably only when he was really firm on a certain subject and couldn't persuade her. But those times would probably not come up as much.

"...Why do you want to use that name?" Lightning asked softly, not even saying her old name aloud. It was important to her not to say the name of the girl who she believed was so weak and vulnerable. The girl she wanted to erase.

Riku looked away briefly, not knowing how to answer without sounding...well, pathetic. "I thought I'd feel closer to you if I called you by that instead of Light," he admitted softly, staring at the ground.

Light didn't really know what to say to that, so she only nodded faintly. That did make sense, but she thought of a response to counter it. "Ven and Serah don't even call me that," she said softly. And family was so close...If they could get away with calling her Lightning, then she believed Riku could too. But then again, she believed Serah was just humoring her denial of her past, and Ven just didn't know any better. Riku was taking a different route.

Riku looked back to Lightning and nodded. "Then I won't," he said again, repeating himself. He wouldn't be "special" and call her that when no one else did. He had no right.

"Do what you want, Riku," Light said. She didn't want to shut him down; if that helped him, then...she'd let him say it. She'd get used to it and accept it.

"What I want is for you to be comfortable around me," Riku told Lightning softly. "If that makes things more difficult, then I won't do it." He could tell by the look on her face that she was being nice, but he didn't mind. "It's okay. Really."

"...Alright," Lightning responded with a faint nod. If he insisted, then she would let him do as he pleased. But if the day ever came where he changed his mind, then that was okay too. Time would tell how comfortable she would become with Riku, and with her past.

Riku smiled weakly, tightening his embrace around Lightning slightly. It would take some time to get used to this, but he didn't think he would have too much trouble.

Riku's small smile drew one out of Light, her eyes staying on Riku's. She wondered what he was thinking, and if they didn't start talking again in a minute or two, maybe she'd ask.

"Anything else on your mind?" Riku asked softly, keeping his eyes on Light as he remained against the desk. While they were having such a deep discussion, anything else she wanted to talk about was okay with him.

"...How are we going to tell the others, about us?" Light asked softly after a moment of thought. She really wasn't close to any of them, so their opinions didn't influence her too much, but she knew that wasn't the case for Riku. They were his best friends.

Riku's smile faded at that, and his eyes diverted to another spot in the room. "I haven't really thought about it," he admitted softly. He didn't know how his friends would take it. They'd be happy for him and Light, hopefully.

Lightning only hummed softly, that being the only response she could think of. She actually found it cute that he had been so focused on her that he hadn't thought about his other friends. But he really did need to find a way to tell them the truth.

Riku had a feeling Kairi and Namine would definitely be supportive, but Sora and Roxas were the type to tease him for being mushy, since he hated seeing them that way; it would come. As for Terra and Aqua, he wasn't really sure. But... "Do you remember what you said last night?" Riku asked, looking back to Lightning as he held her. "Right before we, um..."
