A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Light felt confusion appear on her facial expression, and she tried to think of what Riku could be referring to, but she just couldn't remember. "No," she said, faintly shaking her head. What did she say?

Riku glanced away, pressing his lips together because of his stutter; that confused her. "About Ven," he said then, his gaze finding Lightning again. "You said you would make him understand." Ven wasn't very fond of Riku after what he did to Light in the past, even if it was accidental. Riku didn't blame him for it either; he messed up.

"...Oh, right," Lightning said with a faint nod, glancing away from Riku's face. She remembered that. She just didn't know how she was going to fulfill that promise, because Ven could be stubborn sometimes.

"To be honest," Riku said, frowning a little, "I don't think he'll like the idea." He didn't want Riku near his sister a little bit ago, and dating her was probably out of the question.

Light furrowed her eyebrows at that, looking towards the ground. She wasn't around much, but if Riku said Ven wouldn't like the idea, then she trusted his judgment. But still..."What did I miss?" she asked. She needed to know why Ven wouldn't like her and Riku being in a relationship.

Riku's hold on Lightning loosened a little, forgetting that she didn't know. "Well, let's just say he wasn't too happy with me when he saw me bring you home from Hollow Bastion," he said, his eyes on her. "After Maleficent took you." The first confrontation was before Maleficent made Lightning her super soldier, and instead just poisoned her with some Darkness.

Lightning tried to remember, and it was a challenge because she had been so weak at the time. She remembered the gist of it, though: Riku left to hunt down Maleficent, and then Maleficent captured her when she was alone. After the battle, she and Riku hadn't even made it out of Hollow Bastion before she lost consciousness. She nodded faintly at the memory, understanding what Riku was saying.

"He didn't even want you staying with me after that," Riku said, recalling that day and how angry Ven was. "But I was the only one that could help you with the Darkness, so there was no other choice." That, of course, wasn't the only time Ven got mad at him. The other time was when she was Maleficent's slave.

Light slowly loosened her embrace on Riku, looking at the ground in thought. This was the first time she was hearing it, but it made sense. Ven blamed Riku for everything. Sure, Riku made some slip-ups, but in the end, Maleficent was responsible for everything.

Riku let his hands rest on Lightning's waist when her hold loosened, and he looked down at her, seeing her expression. He didn't want to make it worse, but... "I'm even more convinced that he'll dislike us together because of the fact I let you stay with Maleficent," he explained, his voice softer than before, sad. He hated thinking back to that day; it had been awful. The only good thing had been that he kissed her.

"Mm," Light hummed softly, not knowing how else to react. This was big news to her; she didn't know that much drama would surface because of her relationship with Riku. But... "You didn't let me do anything," she said quietly, looking up at Riku. "I forced you to leave me there." She knocked him out so he couldn't do anything stupid.

Riku's eyebrows furrowed a little. "I was weak," he said, speaking of his strength that day. "I was too vulnerable. It was my fault." If he hadn't waltzed in so recklessly, things would have been better.

"Don't blame yourself," Light said, faintly shaking her head as she looked up at Riku. "Blame Maleficent." She was the one who tried to kill him, and the one who forced Lightning to become her soldier. It was the witch's fault.

Riku looked away at that, his hands leaving Lightning's waist. He didn't want to think of that day, or that stupid sorceress. He almost died to her hand. She nearly crushed him. And Light had to give up her life for his, which he hated.

Light took her hands away, setting one of them on Riku's chest as the other came back down to her side. Riku influenced her actions when he was in danger, but she did what she wanted to do. It wasn't his fault that he lost a fight against somebody stronger than he was; Light blamed it all on Maleficent, the dead witch who she was still very fearful of.

Riku's eyes fell to the hand on his chest, not knowing what to say. Lightning was right; it was Maleficent's fault, everything was. He was even her fault, sometimes, with how screwed up he was. Or could be.

Lightning faintly gripped Riku's shirt at that thought, her gaze down on the ground. Even when Maleficent was dead, she was still afraid of her. Saying her name aloud was nerve-wracking, and so was thinking about her. It made her feel physically ill.

When Riku saw the grasp on his shirt tighten, he lifted his eyes to Lightning. He saw her expression and lifted his hand to rest on her arm extended to him. He could tell she was distressed, and he could guess about what.

Light didn't look at Riku's face, instead looking at her hand grabbing his shirt. Her cheeks turned a little red in embarrassment that he obviously caught her changed expression. Or maybe it was because she felt sick. Either way, it wasn't good.

"If this is about Ven or her, don't think about it," Riku said, rubbing his thumb over Light's skin briefly as he kept his hand there. "We won't worry about it right now." It was only yesterday that the problem with Maleficent was solved. It was time they relaxed, and he would rather do it with her.

"...Right," Lightning responded softly without looking up. That was easier said than done, though Riku's thumb against her skin did distract her for a second or two. She was Maleficent's slave for over a month; all the things that came along with that weren't just going to disappear.

Riku lifted his other hand from his side and set his fingers underneath Light's chin. "Lightning," he called softly. He wanted her to be happy and at peace after such a terrible time the day before.

Light didn't really want to look up at Riku, but she wouldn't fight against his gentle hand. She automatically put on a mask to cover the expression that would have showed in her eyes before, the girl very good at that.

"It's going to be okay," Riku said once Light's eyes found his. "Let's just...relax for today. We'll worry about all the little details later." After last night, he just wanted her to himself, even if that was a little selfish. But it wasn't something he couldn't help.

"Alright," Light responded softly, nodding faintly. She'd try her best not to worry, because she did know that she needed some serious relaxation. Riku probably did too.
