A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

Riku didn't speak on the way back, though he did frequently glance at Lightning out of the corner of his eye to make sure she was alright. The last few days had been hard enough with Maleficent, and then Chris had to come ruin the first day of peace. It was really unfortunate.

Light didn't talk during the walk back either, and though she felt Riku's gaze on her, she didn't return it. She was trying to sort everything out in her mind, but honestly, she was just so tired she wanted to sleep. Couldn't the problems wait until tomorrow?

Riku approached his front porch in the darkness, climbing the small steps before reaching the front door. It was unlocked, and he knew it was because his mother knew of him being out. He pushed the door open, holding it for Lightning.

Lightning nodded her thanks to Riku, glancing at him when she walked past him and went into his home. She liked this place, she really did. But Ven wasn't going to allow her to live here, or spend much time with Riku at all. It was bad.

Riku stepped in after Lightning, shutting the door behind him and flipping the switch on the wall. The entryway was lit instantly, so he could see Lightning better than before. He wanted to talk, but he didn't think now was the best time. After Chris, nothing so serious was worth it at the time.

Lightning stopped a few feet in, turning around once the light was on and she could see Riku clearly. And judging by his expression, it looked like he wanted to talk. She didn't really want to, but at the same time, she sort of did. She supposed they'd just go with what Riku wanted, since relationships were about compromise. Right?

"...What happened?" Riku asked after a small minute of silence, his hand now by his side. He didn't care which subject they talked about, Chris or Ven. It was what Lightning was most comfortable talking over that mattered.

I guess I'll just give him a summary of the day first, Lightning thought, hands curling slightly by her sides. "I hung out with Ven all day to soften him up to the news, and then I took him to the island to talk to him," she said. "I was just on my way home when I ran into Chris."

Riku's eyebrows furrowed at the statement. One reason was obviously because of Chris and his stupid antics with Light; that infuriated Riku beyond belief, his hands curling into fists at the thought. But the other thing that made him stay silent was because of how Lightning said she needed to "soften" Ven up. That didn't sound good.

"Which do you want to hear about first?" Lightning asked, knowing that Riku would understand what she was referring to. She could either say all that happened with Chris or tell him about her talk with Ven. Neither conversation would be pleasant.

"The situation with Chris is pretty self-explanitory," Riku said softly. That meant he didn't need the story, which left Ven as the only choice.

Light glanced down towards the ground, nodding faintly and folding her arms over her chest. That meant that she was supposed to tell him about Ven. She didn't really want to talk about it, but he had a right to know. "...Ven didn't take it well," she said softly. He took it pretty badly.

Riku lifted a hand to rub the back of his neck, looking away. "Didn't expect him to," he admitted softly. He had a feeling he would be upset, but how bad had it been?

Light nodded slightly as she looked at the ground, knowing she'd have to say more. "He doesn't understand how we can even be friends after all that's happened, since he pins almost everything on you," she said softly. So Ven was shocked when she said that they were in a relationship. He thought she was crazy. He even accused Maleficent of brainwashing her somehow. And the idea of brainwashing still gave her chills, because, well...maybe she did do something to her. But that didn't affect her liking Riku.

Riku leaned back against the door, lowering his hand and stuffing it into his pocket. "What else?" he asked, glancing up at Light. He knew there had to be more. A discussion that took the whole day couldn't be summed up so simply.

Light snapped out of her thoughts, though she did wrap her arms more tightly over herself. "He openly said that he's going to try and keep me away from you as much as he can," she said quietly. "And he's urging me to move back in with him in a day or two."

Riku's sight dropped to the floor at that, the boy sighing. Ven really didn't like him, did he? He hadn't expected redemption after saving Light, even if the others thought so. He guessed he was right.

...He thinks you're cursed, Riku, Lightning though silently, keeping the harsh words to herself. He believes every person who comes in close contact with you has to deal with the Darkness. He's seen it in Sora and Kairi, and now he's seen that by me getting close to you, I've gotten hurt by Maleficent's Darkness. It was sickening to hear her little brother talk like that.

Riku didn't know what to say, and the silence made him feel uncomfortable. What exactly had Ven said about him that Light wouldn't elaborate on? Maybe I don't want to know, Riku thought silently, closing his eyes.

"...It was nasty," Light said, lifting her gaze to Riku. The whole thing against him, and in his anger, Ven also lashed out at Lightning. If she was a softer person, she would have cried then. But she had to admit, Ven's words hurt her. A lot.

"I can imagine," Riku replied quietly, keeping his eyes closed and head bent. With his back pressed against the door, he didn't have to try too hard to keep himself up. Not that he felt like collapsing on the floor at this news. Yeah, it hurt, a lot. But he wasn't going to be overdramatic about it.

No, you can't, Lightning silently thought, shutting her eyes. It was harsher than Riku could imagine. Ven called her weak and said that she was running to Riku because he took care of her whenever she was hurt. He said Maleficent brainwashed her and made her even more vulnerable, so now she was only with Riku because of that and not her emotions. He said she was stupid for liking somebody who caused her so much pain...And she knew that he at least meant the last one.

Riku pressed his lips together in thought, then opening his eyes. What mattered to him was what Lightning wanted. Yeah, he would like her to stay, but if she wanted to go be with Ven, she could. They had only been dating for a day; he couldn't stop her. "What do you want?"

"I want to take back everything that happened after I left your house this morning," Lightning murmured with a frown. She wished she had put off talking to Ven a little longer, and she wished she hadn't seen Chris. She didn't know what to do now.

Riku hummed softly in agreement. The thing with Chris was bad, but the problem with Ven was considerably worse. For once, Riku wasn't sure what to do. Did he let Light go, or did he fight to keep her here?
