Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"I do," Riku said, lifting his eyes to Lightning's face. He wouldn't have asked if he didn't want to hear it. What had Ven said about him that was used to convince Light?

"Riku, you don't," Lightning said more firmly, eyebrows furrowing as she stared at his chest. Really, did he want to hear that Ven believed he was a curse to those around him? That all people around him were sure to experience pain because of him? What nasty things to believe about a person who saved his sister's life...She just didn't understand how Ven could believe in all he said.
Riku frowned, looking behind Light to the stairs. "That bad, huh?" he said lowly. If that was the case, maybe he didn't want to know. If it was going to hurt him that much, what was the point? As if he wasn't hurting enough.

"You have no idea," Light responded softly. But she knew Riku was persistent, and stubborn. He probably would still want to know despite her urging him that his ignorance was better. He seemed like the kind of guy who didn't like being left in the dark about something.
"I kinda do," Riku said, his eyebrows furrowing a little. "Wanna tell me and see if I'm right?" He didn't look at her, not wanting her to see the look in his eyes when he was told. That was if she told him, of course.

"Why don't you tell me what you're thinking first?" Lightning asked, lifting her gaze to Riku's face when he proved her suspicions were right. He wasn't going to drop this.
"Nah," Riku said, shaking his head, but glancing in another direction as he still refused to look at her. "Because if I'm wrong, you still won't tell me what he said." She would tell him that he was wrong with what he thought and because of that, he didn't need to think about it anymore. If he had no idea, he wouldn't have to suffer. That would be what she thought, wouldn't it?

Light looked back down at Riku's chest, shaking her head faintly. This was really going to hurt him; she knew it. Couldn't he just talk to Ven about this? Her brother probably had a lot he wanted to say to Riku concerning this matter anyway.
Riku sighed a little, hearing nothing. At all. "Forget it," he said, frowning. Whatever. Things were bad enough. He'd let it go; he just wanted to push everything away anyway.

Light glanced up at Riku before looking back where she had been staring before, nodding faintly. She was glad (and surprised) to hear that. But she had a feeling that Riku would hear everything from Ven sometime in the near future.
Riku's hold on Light's hands loosened subconsciously, the boy focusing on his thoughts as he looked to the side and at the ground. Just when he thought things were going well, they got messed up again. Would he ever find happiness? It always seemed to be taken away from him by something.

Lightning looked down at her and Riku's hands, not breaking the silence. She could tell Riku was upset, but so was she. She had a lot on her plate, and she had no clue how to handle any of it. She was better at running. She either ran into her problems to face them head on and eliminate them, or she ran away to avoid them. The latter option sounded pretty good to her.
Riku wondered if this changed anything between him and Light. Did she not want to be in a relationship after whatever Ven said to her about him? Or were things still the same? Riku knew he liked Light, since he'd never felt this way about anyone but Kairi, which had just been a small crush. He didn't want this to ruin something that, in his eyes, had potential.

I never did feel like I belonged in this world, Lightning thought, loosening her grip on Riku's hands in thought. Maybe I'm not meant to be here. Maybe she was just meant to make sure Ven was alive and safe, and then go live her life on Cocoon. She still had a home there, after all.
"Light..." Riku said, looking at her arm as he released one of her hands and let it glide up her arm, their loose grip on each other giving him the opportunity. What were they going to do?

Light looked up at Riku's eyes when he called her and moved his hand, though she was still thinking about everything. If I left, I probably wouldn't see Riku again, she thought. And even if they were together one day as a couple, she didn't want that. He was still her friend, and after all the trouble of tracking her down and then stealing her away, she doubted he would let her leave too easily.
Riku let his hand stop at Lightning's elbow, looking at her. "This...doesn't change anything, does it?" he asked softly. Ven was her family, what little of it she had left. If his opinion influenced her decisions that much... Well, Riku didn't know what he would.

That question brought Light out of her thoughts completely, her eyes softening behind her pink bangs. She shook her head softly, that response being her answer. No, Ven's disapproval didn't change their relationship. She still wanted to be with him, no matter what Ven said.
Riku nodded a little, his eyes staying on Light's. They'd only officiaally been together for a day, but his feelings were still strong. He didn't want them to be crushed so soon.

"Ven doesn't know you as well as I do, so I can judge better than he can whether or not you're a bad influence," Light said softly, tightening her grasp on the hand that she still held within her own. She knew about Riku's past and the consequences of it, but she didn't believe he was a bad person. He was a true friend to her.
Riku's eyebrows furrowed at the last few words. "Bad influence?" he repeated. "That's what he said I was?" That was what revolved around his past? That his Darkness made him a bad influence?

Light mentally smacked herself, diverting her gaze from Riku's. "He didn't mean it in the way you're thinking of it," she said, gazing at the wall to the side of her. Ven meant that Riku's presence put people in danger; Riku was probably thinking that his Darkness would corrupt her or change her negatively somehow.
"What other way am I supposed to take it?" Riku asked, tilting his head as he looked at Light. Ven said he was a bad influence, which meant that he thought he was bad for Lightning. And because of his past? That was stupid; Riku overcame his Darkness.

"Don't worry about it," Lightning said calmly, though she wouldn't look over at Riku. "Ven was wrong in what he said anyway." Riku wasn't a curse to those around him. She refused to believe that was true.
Riku looked away, turning his head to look toward the living room. His hand gradually fell down the length of Light's arm, until it fell to his side completely. Don't worry about it? He most certainly was going to worry about it.
