Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Lightning tightened her grasp on Riku's hand at her thoughts, staring down at the hand she still held. Now that he had a hint of the conversation, he was going to nag her, wasn't he? Maybe it was time she walked away and went to bed, or something.
Riku didn't say anything, lost in his thoughts. So Ven thought he was a bad influence on Light... He didn't understand how he could be with how he managed to conquer his Darkness and those that manipulated him such a long time ago anyway. And Light was strong-willed. How could someone like him get to someone like her?

"Whatever you're thinking about what I said, I'm sure it's wrong," Lightning said without looking up. She couldn't go to bed without saying that. She worded it so it made sense to her, but not Riku.
"What, that my Darkness has something to do with this?" Riku asked, though he didn't expect a response. "Yeah, I'm sure that's not it." That was exactly it, wasn't it? Because he was one who meddled with Darkness, Ven didn't like him.

Light picked up on Riku's sarcasm, and it made her furrow her eyebrows. "Glad you're so sure, because you're right, your Darkness basically has nothing to do with this." It was more about what happened to those around Riku than it was him.
"Since we're on the subject, why don't you just tell me?" Riku said, turning his head to look over at Lightning. If he was wrong, then what was it that made Ven think the way he did? "What's wrong with me?"

Light shook her head, taking her hand out of Riku's grasp. She shouldn't have brought it up. And now, she felt like it was time for her to take her leave. She just needed to say one more thing, to answer Riku's question. "Nothing, so don't worry about it," Lightning insisted.
Riku's hand curled into a loose fist when Lightning let go. "Ven doesn't seem to think so," he said lowly. Ven thought he wasn't good enough for Light. That was what Riku assumed anyway, and Ven probably thought the way he did because of Riku's past.

"Riku, you don't know enough to make those kinds of assumptions," Lightning declared, starting to get frustrated. Ven did see problems, and maybe this "curse" he imagined was something wrong with Riku. But Riku knew nothing about that, so he was thinking incorrectly about what Ven said earlier.
"So then tell me," Riku said again, eyebrows furrowing a little more. "Maybe then I can understand." He felt his anger start to grow, but he knew it would be wrong to take it out on Lightning; she didn't deserve it.

"I can't do that," Lightning said in aggravation, and sadness. "I already told you, you don't want to know what he told me. Leave it at that." She hoped Riku would be smart enough to drop this,b ut she doubted it would happen. He was as stubborn as she was.
"What, do you think I can't handle it?" Riku asked then, his eyes on Lightning still. Was it that bad? He was sure he handled worse.
  • Author
"I think that in this case, it's better for you to be ignorant about what he said," Lightning said in return, able to tell that Riku was starting to get angry. She was too, but she was also frustrated and overwhelmed with everything. She didn't want to argue, but she knew walking away wasn't an option.
"I don't favor ignorance," Riku answered, glancing to the side. He never had. If he didn't know the answer to something, he searched for it until he found it. It was just how he was.
  • Author
"Ignorance is bliss," Light said, eyebrows furrowed as she looked up at Riku's face. "Cherish it." He may have been mad about not knowing the truth, but it would be worse if he found out. It would crush him, and it would hurt her for telling him too.
Riku's eyes fell shut and he lowered his head, refusing to look at Light. For once, he had nothing to say. He wouldn't ask her about it anymore, but that didn't mean he wouldn't think of it.

Light frowned at Riku's expression, able to tell that he wasn't pleased with her. Well, she wouldn't say anything to make it worse. She saw Jasmine sitting by the stairs watching them, so she started towards the stairs herself, hoping the dog would follow and give her some company.
Riku's trained ears picked up on Lightning's footsteps, and he only opened his eyes to stare at the ground, where her feet were just seconds ago. He wanted to say sorry, for putting more stress on her, but he couldn't find his voice.

Lightning was pleased that Jasmine followed her, and she silently went to her bedroom with the dog right behind her. She shut the door behind her and went right for the bed, laying down on top of the sheets without removing her boots. Jasmine hopped up and lay down right in front of her, the girl silently hugging the dog with one arm and letting her face go against the fur. "Thanks," she murmured to the dog, voice muffled by the fur.
Riku turned around and approached the front door, opening it and walking outside. He closed the door behind him securely and sat himself down on the porch steps. He could hear crickets all around him and saw various lightning bugs flicker in the air, but he barely paid attention to that. Now that the discussion was over, he had to think about it; it wouldn't leave his mind until he gave in.

Lightning heard Jazzy whimper softly in sadness, and the sound nearly broke her heart. This dog was sad for her sake. She closed her eyes and fought against the moisture that started to appear in her eyes, the girl not used to crying so often.
Riku rested his elbows on his knees and brought his hands to his face, rubbing them over his skin as he sighed. This was a mess. He thought things would be easier with Maleficent gone, but he was mistaken.

Light petted Jasmine for a while, managing not to shed any tears. She wasn't aware of how much time passed, but she was starting to feel sleepy despite how her thoughts were keeping her occupied. Everything had been non-stop since she woke up from her crystal stasis, and none of that time had been peaceful. It was bad.
Riku kept his eyes closed, holding his face in his hands as he stayed outside. He let the crickets act as a rhythm to listen to, the boy calming down as he let his mind wander. He wasn't happy that Ven thought so lowly of him, but...it made sense. Light was involved in a lot of things because of him.

"We need a vacation," Light mumbled tiredly into the dog's coat, Jazzy staying in her place in front of her. They just needed to do something fun and lighthearted, and then maybe Ven would see that Riku was good for her. He actually made her feel alive again, for the first time in a long time.
