Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"What am I doing?" Riku groaned, dropping his hands from his face. He never got into relationships because of how complicated they could be, especially with his Keyblade responsibilities. But...this just happened. He didn't ask for it, or hope for it. Light just waltzed into his life, and he had no idea at the time how much of an impact she would have on it.

Light glanced to the window, seeing the moonlight outside. Should she just get up and leave, and go on her own? She wouldn't be very good company on a vacation right now anyway. She needed some time to herself, and Ven was going to smother her now that she was here. She had a lot of reasons to leave, but...she also had a lot of reasons to stay.
Riku stared out in front of him, not really focusing on anything. He never expected to have feelings for Light, especially her. There was just something about her that made him think it was impossible. He assumed it was how stubborn she was at the beginning, and how annoyed they were with each other. But, everything changed.

If Light ran off, then that would be disrespecting everything Riku, Ven, and the others did to save her. They went through all that work to save her, and she would appear ungrateful if she just ran off and got into trouble again. She needed to stay in Destiny Islands for a while, and figure out how to life a normal life. Something she never had.
"But is it for the better?" Riku asked himself lowly. "That's what really matters." He cared about Light more than he should have so soon, but it was just how things were. He couldn't help it.

Lightning sighed, turning her face so it was in the dog's fur again. She was too tired and weary to think about it all tonight. It was late, and she was an early riser no matter how tired she was, so she wouldn't get much sleep. It was time to give up on reality for a little while and just get some rest.
Riku briefly thought of talking to Sora about this, and maybe Kairi too. But then he thought against it. The Darkness ended for now in their lives, and he didn't want to worry them or stress them out. He would keep quiet.

Lightning started to lose consciousness, laying on the bed without the covers, with her shoes and normal outfit on, and cuddling with the dog. But she didn't really care about that. All she cared about now was escaping reality for a while.
Riku pushed himself up with a small grunt, going back inside and locking the door behind him. His house was silent, and he guessed Light went up to her room. He didn't know if he wanted to talk, but he at least wanted to say goodnight. So the boy started up the staircase and down the hall to reach her room, silent as usual.

Light didn't hear Riku's footsteps, since he was always light on his feet anyway. And besides, she was sleeping, in the same position she was in before as she laid on her side with an arm draped over the dog. Her face was also against Jasmine's fur since the pet laid pretty high on the bed, but it was alright since Light could still breathe.
Riku saw that Light's door was closed, so he opened it quietly to see if she was still up. He saw her position and blinked in surprise, seeing Jasmine look over at him once she sensed his presence. He brought a finger to his lips to signal for her to keep quiet, and he silently started into the room. When he was close enough, he saw that Light was actually asleep.

Light believed she felt Jazzy move a little when she was sleeping, but she didn't put any effort into waking up, figuring that the dog was just getting restless. She had never fallen asleep like this, with something so warm so close to her. It was nice.
Riku sat just beside Jasmine on the bed, putting one hand on her back. She was good to Light, better than he was sometimes. She needed him after her talk with Ven and confrontation with Chris, and Riku was just selfish; he hadn't thought of it. "Maybe I'm not boyfriend material," he said softly, his voice no higher than a whisper.

Light didn't hear Riku's whisper, though she did hear Jasmine whimper softly at something. It was the same whine she did earlier, when Light was sad. Even in her sleep, she could pick up on that. What was going on?
Riku looked to Jasmine at the whine, seeing that she was looking at him over her shoulder as she stayed in her spot. He patted her back affectionately, but didn't say anything. His eyes went to Light then, witnessing her rest. Even if her face was pretty much buried in Jasmine's coat, he could still see the side of her face.

Light felt a faint trembling from Jasmine, a sound rising in the dog's throat. It howled more loudly, making the sleeping girl grunt and start to wake up quickly. What in the world...?
Riku brought a hand to his forehead when Jasmine whined. "Jazz," he scolded lowly, his voice a harsh whisper. What was she doing? He shook his head at her, warning in gaze. She knew better.

Jasmine jumped off the bed, out from underneath Light's arm as she scampered out of the room. Lightning stirred because of the howl and movement, pulling that arm in and setting her hand on the pillow in front of her as she came to.
Riku's eyes hardened as Jasmine waltzed off, his eyes trailing her movements. Once she left the room, he shook his head, scratching at his silver hair. Great. That movement probably didn't help Lightning with the rest.

Light forced her eyes open slightly, blinking a few times to open them more widely. The first thing that she noticed was that the dog was gone. She couldn't say she was too disappointed, since the dumb dog woke her up.
Riku turned his head to look at Light, and he felt his eyes soften when he noticed she was awake. "Go back to sleep," he told her quietly. "I'll shut the door so Jazz won't get back in." She clearly wasn't the best to snuggle with.

Light blinked at the voice, startled. She lifted her gaze to Riku sitting on the bed in front of her, surprised to see him there. "When'd you get here?" she asked tiredly, confused. She hadn't heard him come in, or felt the bed move when he sat down.
"A minute ago. Jazz moved because of me," Riku replied. "Sorry." He hadn't meant to wake Light up. His initial reason for coming in was to say goodnight, but Light had already been passed out. After that...he just kind of sat down.

"Oh..." Light said at Riku's explanation, slowly sitting herself up with her legs folded next to her and a little behind Riku. "It's okay." He hadn't meant to get Jasmine riled up.
Riku nodded a little, but didn't say anything more. He wasn't sure what to say now. He didn't mean to wake Light up, so now he could say goodnight. But...he didn't want to.
