A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Light lifted a hand and rubbed at her eyes, surprised how they wouldn't open all the way despite how short of a period she had been asleep. She almost felt like she could fall back asleep again right away like Riku suggested, but since he was here with her, she didn't feel like sleeping.

"Um..." Riku lifted a hand to rub the back of his neck, glancing away. "I'll...just go." He put his hand down on the bed, starting to push himself up. There wasn't anything to say, and Light was tired. He would let her sleep.

Lightning followed Riku's actions with her eyes, knowing that she didn't want to be alone. That was why she cuddled with Jasmine. "Riku?" she said softly without thinking.

Riku was already standing up, but he turned to look over his shoulder at Lightning. "Hm?" he hummed softly. Did she need something before she went back to sleep?

Light really didn't have anything to say, she just wanted to be with Riku a little longer. He didn't look mad like he had earlier, and she always did feel more comfortable with him near. She'd think of some way to spend a little more time with him tonight, just because it was what she needed. "Do you want to watch a movie?" she asked randomly, her voice soft.

Riku lifted an eyebrow at the question, finding it irrelevant and random. But...he smiled. "Sure," he said with a small nod. He offered his hand out for Lightning to take.

A faint smile tugged at Light's lips, the girl setting her feet on the ground before she accepted Riku's hand and stood up. It was a good thing she wasn't a heavy sleeper, or else she would have been super groggy and unbalanced right now. But she was fine, tired without being groggy.

Riku gripped Light's hand securely and then started forward, toward the door. He was up for watching a movie, whatever the reason. This...could be the last time he really spent quality time with Light, couldn't it?

Light blinked off her tiredness, gripping Riku's hand in return when they started out of the room and towards the living room. She hoped Riku knew that she was most likely going to fall asleep during this movie; she was still exhausted.

It didn't take more than a few minutes for Riku to get the movie in and start it. He sat down on the couch beside Lightning once the movie started, one arm going behind her to rest on the back of the couch.

Light sat right beside Riku, under his arm even if it wasn't around her shoulders. She was close enough that her side and arm almost touched him, her legs folded next to her on the couch. She had a feeling she'd be leaning on him by the end of the movie, though. Ah well, she'd worry about it later. It wasn't even worth worrying about it in the first place.

Riku glanced at Lightning out of the corner of his eye, wondering how she was doing with all the stress. But clearly she was just tired right now, or that was at least what she let surface. He looked to the television and focused on the movie, trying not to think about it.

Light eventually did lean against Riku, though that was only about ten minutes into the movie. This was the first time they actually did something relaxing together, wasn't it? And she was going to fall asleep in the middle of it. She leaned her head against his shoulder and gazed at the TV with half-opened eyes, watching everything unfold.

Riku looked down at Light when he felt her soft hair against the bare skin of his shoulder, noticing how drowsy she looked. He let his arm leave the couch and instead go around her shoulders, his hand resting lightly on her upper arm.

Light's heart skipped a beat at the soft touch, the action encouraging her to lean into Riku more. But she wasn't ready to sleep yet, so she kept her eyes open partway and watched the movie the best she could.

Riku forced his eyes to go back to the television, that way Light wouldn't catch him staring. He knew that embarrassment wasn't needed right now, not after everything else.

Light eventually allowed herself to close her eyes, just listening to the movie. But the sounds began to fade away when she was more tired, consciousness starting to leave her once more.

Riku's fingers lightly started to glide over Light's upper arm as he watched the movie, the boy doing it without realizing it. It was just a natural thing, or that was what it seemed like.

Lightning was lured to sleep by Riku's gentle presence and gesture, consciousness leaving her about halfway through the movie. Hopefully tomorrow would be better than the previous days, not that things could get much worse than they already were.

Riku noticed a little over halfway through the movie that Lightning was asleep on his shoulder. Once it ended, he adjusted his grip on her and lifted her into his arms before carrying her upstairs to her bedroom, where he took her boots off and tucked her in, letting her sleep in peace.

The next day

 

Light sat on the deserted beach by herself, the girl aimlessly doodling something in the sand beside her with her finger. Ven was called home to help on the house, but everyone insisted Light take it easy after everything. She thought about going to Riku's house, but he was out anyway, so she just stayed on the beach. The waves were calming anyway, so she didn't mind being alone.

Travis saw the girl not too far up ahead, his target for today's scheme. After humiliating his brother in front of the group, he knew this had to be done. And he had just the tool to help. He pulled at the leash, a pitbull at his side as he started down the beach toward Lightning. She was going to pay.

Light looked down at her doodle, surprised she was bored enough to do such a thing. But this was her first moment of quietness and stillness for a while, so she didn't care if it was stranger for her to doodle. She had to start thinking about everything...Ven was insistent that she move in with him, even after she told him that it would be best for her to stay with Riku because he had a spare bed. But Ven was so stubborn, just like his big sister.

Travis led the group down the beach further, and when he was close enough, he called out to the girl. "Hey, hotstuff!" he hollered, no one else on the beach to respond to the call. Yeah, she was still hot, but she was a freak. She would pay for embarrassing his brother.

Lightning grunted at the call, stiffening. That call was directed at her. She was the only one on the beach, and she recognized that voice from last night. Didn't Riku say his name was Travis? Regardless, Light didn't plan on responding to the call. She looked ahead at the ocean and just listened, picking up on a few people heading in her direction. Great.
