Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"Anyway," Riku said after a moment, looking over the edge of the cliff and down at the water that sprayed against the side of it. "Ever done any cliff-diving on Cocoon?" He lifted an eyebrow and looked back at Lightning, his hold on her hand loosening slightly.

"No," Lightning said, faintly shaking her head as she looked at Riku. She had never really had the time for anything recreational; she was either looking after Serah or working to improve her rank in the army. There had been no room for cliff-diving in there.
"Well, there's a first time for everything," Riku said, smirking. He was actually excited for this. He hadn't done any cliff-diving for a while, not since before the Keyblade. It was about time he did it again.

"This isn't your first time, is it?" Light asked with an arched brow, having a feeling Riku did this before. Why wouldn't he, since he had an easy life apart from the Keyblade?
Riku released Lightning's hand, reaching for his shirt instead. "Nope," he said with a small shake of his head. He hadn't done this in a few years; he was looking forward to doing it. He hoped Lightning had fun with it too. She was fearless.

"Hm," Light hummed with a faint nod, taking a small step away so that Riku could take off his shirt without hitting her with his arm. She glanced out past the edge of the cliff, able to tell that it was a long fall. But of course, she had never been afraid of falling.
Riku grabbed his shirt with both hands and pulled it over his head, dropping it to the side. He also kicked off his shoes, letting them sit next to his shirt. He felt the grass underneath his bare feet and he focused forward, peering over the edge. It would be a long drop, but he could handle it.

Lightning glanced over at Riku after she took off her flip-flops, her gaze going back to the cliff. "See you on the other side," she said, smirking slightly as she ran a few steps past Riku and then jumped off without hesitation.
Riku's eyes widened and he reached out to Lightning automatically, grunting in surprise. Of course, he didn't step forward, knowing that he was close enough to the legde already. He watched her in the air, wondering how clean her landing would be in the water below.

Light gracefully did a flip in the air before she put her arms over her head and dove into the cool ocean water, going deep before she kicked her way up to the surface. It took a few seconds, but she got up and breathed in some air, her heart racing because of the fun she had. Fun...for the first time in years, she had fun.
Riku leaned over the edge, his aqua eyes finding Lightning once she resurfaced. "How was it?" he called down. He hadn't expected her to jump so soon, since she'd never done this before; he figured he would be the first to go.

"Fun," Lightning called back up to Riku on the cliff. Wasn't he going to jump down now and join her in the ocean? Yelling was unnecessary when he could be down with her in less than thirty seconds.
Riku felt himself smile at that description, and he nodded. "Right," he hollered down. Now it was his turn, the boy starting to back up. "Heads up!" He set his footing when he was a few yards back, the boy then sprinting forward before jumping off the ledge.

Light paddled backwards a few feet to give Riku some room, though he surely wouldn't crash into her. That would be very serious if he did, and she knew he wouldn't be dumb enough to not look where he was going. She watched him come down, treading water as she waited.
Riku turned his body so he did a backflip in the air, the boy then cleanly diving into the steady water below. He felt the cool temperature wash over him as he opened his eyes underwater, seeing the surface above as he held his breath. He took in some air once he surfaced, lifting a hand to push his wet hair out of his face.

Light had lifted an arm to block the splash Riku created when he hit the water, and she slowly lowered it to see him pushing back his hair. That reminded her that she hadn't done anything with hers, and that was why her bangs were still stuck to her forehead. Oh well.
Once Riku caught his breath, he smiled with the thrill that diving sent through his veins. "Whoo!" he said, glancing up at the tall ledge above. That was exhillarating.

Lightning laughed softly, though it wasn't just a single laugh that left her lips. It was a series of them, and the longest laugh she had laughed in a long time, even if it was just a few seconds. She couldn't help it; Riku's reaction amused her.
Riku switched his gaze over to Lightning at her laughter, though he wasn't confused why she was laughing. It was probably him, or so he figured. "What're you laughing at?" he asked, smirking at her, able to see her clearly since his wet bangs were pushed out of his face.
  • Author
Light composed herself, shaking her head faintly as she smiled. "Nothing," she said, looking past her bangs to see Riku. Of course, she was obviously laughing at him, but she said "nothing" anyway.
"Yeah right," Riku said, swimming a little closer to Lightning. "You're gonna have to do better than that." Of course, he was just playing. He knew that she was laughing at him, though he wasn't sure what exactly he did to make that happen.
  • Author
"Don't believe me?" Light asked, her smile turning into a fake smirk. She wasn't surprised; obviously she was laughing at something, or she wouldn't have laughed. It was just that simple.
"I dunno," Riku said, his eyes on Light as he floated in the water. "You're kind of hard to trust, Light. Just saying." Liar, he thought silently. She was easy to trust, since she didn't goof off much and was serious most of the time. But now, he was seeing a side of her he longed to see for a while. She was...smiling, and laughing.
  • Author
"I'm hard to trust? Ouch," Light said, acting offended. Of course, she didn't really care too much, since Riku was just joking anyway. And she believed she was hard to trust anyway, since she kept to herself a lot. She was a mystery to a lot of people.
Riku chuckled a little and moved his body to float on his back. He stared up at the sky, feeling the water against his skin. This was what things were supposed to be like, peaceful and easy.
