Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku let his eyes stay on Light, his smirk slowly fading away. He really didn't want to focus on the bad; he wanted to concentrate on the good. She was the good. Lightning was his good.

"Well, the Light has its ways too, I suppose," Lightning said, getting on her back again as she stared up at the sky. She supposed the Light was strong, stronger than Darkness. She had never really picked a side; she just knew who was her enemy and who wasn't.
"And they would be?" Riku prodded softly, hearing the dull roar of the water spraying against the cliff nearby. Just beyond it was a section of land they could use to get back up to the cliff and get their things, whenever they were done here.

"Dunno," Light said with a faint shrug, not looking over at Riku. She may have traveled to many worlds looking for Ven, but she didn't actively fight forces of Light and Darkness. She knew now how powerful the Darkness was thanks to Maleficent, but there was a lot she didn't know about the Light.
Riku stopped swimming around Light, and instead swam closer to her, floating next to her. He just looked at her at first, his eyes dancing over every inch of her face. "...I think cliff-diving might have a longer effect on you than most," he said softly. Lightning obviously couldn't think straight, or that was what he wanted to believe.

Lightning blinked, looking over at Riku beside her. "You think it messed up my head?" she asked before looking back to the sky. "Sorry, Riku, but this is normal." She honestly didn't know much about the Light, or the Darkness. She only knew she didn't like the latter much.
"Normal? There's no such thing," Riku said quietly lifting his hand to sit under Light's back as she floated. He felt this conversation start to get serious, which he didn't want, surprisingly. He wanted Light to have fun, which was what this whole day was for.

Light looked back over at Riku she felt his hand under her back, able to tell by his facial expression that he didn't want the conversation to take this turn. She forced a small laugh to lighten the mood, glancing back up at the sky. "Normal's boring, anyway," she said. "I want nothing to do with it, I guess." She was unique anyway, so she might as well embrace that quality.
"Good," Riku said with a small nod. "Because I'm not exactly normal." He smirked a little, trying to lighten the mood to what it was before. But he was the telling the truth at the same time. He wasn't normal, but he was fond of Light. She was stuck with him.

"No, you're not," Light agreed with a faint smirk. "Good thing, too. It's the normal people you gotta watch out for." They could betray you in an instant. She knew that from her past, when some of the most average people she knew became her enemies.
Riku "hmphed" in amusement, letting his hand leave Light's back as he too swam a little bit away to float on his back. He wondered what they were going to do now, since they already experienced the dive.

Light shut her eyes after a few moments, only hearing the dull waves go against the rocks. "You know," she started, "I don't see why you had us walk all the way up the cliff when you could have just used your glider." It would have made things easier, and quicker.
"Hm. We could've," Riku said, staring up at the sky. "But you know me, I like to make things difficult." He was joking of course, though there were times in the past when he made things difficult just to make others mad. Like Light, when he barely knew her and they didn't get along. That felt like so long ago.
  • Author
"That you do," Light said with a faint smirk, being half-serious. Riku didn't necessarily make things difficult; just challenging. And complicated. He made a stand with all things concerning Maleficent and changed the course of a lot of things to help out. It complicated things, but Riku succeeded with his goal of helping.
"But that doesn't change your feelings for me...right?" Riku turned his head to look at Lightning, seeing her floating in the sea right next to him. He figured they would get out soon, but he wouldn't worry about that right now.
  • Author
"Nah," Lightning said, still looking up at the sky. "You're stuck with me, remember?" He was stuck with her, and she was stuck with him. Neither of them planned on giving up on each other so easily. If they did, then it would have been pointless for them to be in a relationship at all.
"Hm, that I am," Riku agreed, focusing on the sky again. But after a moment, he closed his eyes. Light was his, and he was hers. It was mutual, their fondness for one another.

"Hope I'm not too much of a nuisance," Light said with a faint smirk. She knew that she wasn't, but that was what she thought of to say. Everything between her and Riku was as it was meant to be, as far as she could tell.
"Oh, you're horrendous," Riku joked, keeping his eyes closed as he smiled a little. "But I'll deal." Of course, he wouldn't have to "deal" with anything. Light was...great. He really liked her.
  • Author
"Glad to hear it," Light said, her smirk remaining. She wanted to have a good relationship with Riku, because she really did like him. It was so illogical after not knowing him for long, and the feelings were strong. But she liked it.
Riku hummed softly at Light's response, not bothering to respond any other way. There wasn't really much to say. He was content with her, and he could be himself. He was comfortable, and that was important to him.

Light eventually moved to float upright, looking towards the cliff. She saw the waves hitting it, but if she wasn't mistaken, some water was going...into it? Was there some kind of cave or something? That was pretty cool.
Riku let himself relax in the water, feeling the water against his skin and chest. His hand moved a little in the water, just liking the cool feeling it created, the boy oblivious to Lightning's movements.
  • Author
"...Huh," Light said, staring at the water and seeing the current even from here. There was definitely a cave. Was it worth exploring? It would be hard to get in, and out, because the current would wash them right against the rocks.
"Mm?" Riku hummed, hearing Lightning's voice briefly. He opened his eyes and tucked his chin, which automatically caused him to sink into an upright position. His eyes rested on Lightning. What was going on?
