A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Riku didn't say anything. Of course Light didn't think that was true; she wasn't thinking the way he was. He was the person causing trouble between her and Ven, family. And now that he thought about it and took in what Light said earlier, he realized that she was right: family bonds were important. Riku couldn't get in the way of that.

"If I didn't believe you were worth the trouble, I wouldn't have walked away from Ven," Light stated softly while looking at her hand in Riku's. She realized that this could really hurt her relationship with Ven, or it could improve it. But it was a risk she had to take.

Riku's eyes went to the girl's brother behind her, his aqua eyes on Ven now. He couldn't read his expression very well, but he had a feeling he wasn't responding well to this confrontation. "Lightning," he said softly, holding her hand more tightly. He didn't know what to say.

Lightning remained silent, not knowing how to respond to Riku's tone or action. She wanted to hug him, but something was keeping her from doing that. Was it Ven's presence, or Sora or Kairi's? Or maybe it was the vibe she was getting from Riku.

Riku let his eyes fall on the person before him again, the boy taking a small step closer to her. "What do we do?" he whispered softly. He wasn't sure what to say other than that, or what to physically do about this. It was a tough situation.

Light lifted her free hand when Riku was right in front of her, the girl setting it on Riku's arm. "I don't know," she whispered sadly in response, looking back up to meet his eyes. She didn't anything, except how she was feeling. She was feeling like she wanted to stay with Riku.

"I'd be...selfish, if I got between you and Ven," Riku said, lowering his gaze to the hand on his arm. That would make things more difficult for Lightning. The only reason she came to the islands was to be closer to Ven; Riku didn't want to be in the way of that, but he didn't want him and Light to separate either.

Light stayed silent, gazing down at Riku's chest. Would he be selfish? ...Maybe. But she was being selfish too for wanting to be with Riku even when her little brother disapproved.

 

"You're not selfish," Ventus said, having heard the conversation between his big sister and Riku. He walked up and stood by the two of them, glancing between Light and Riku. "I am." He was trying to break them up, after all. Because he didn't want to lose his big sister.

Riku turned his head, his eyebrows furrowing in confusion. His expression seemed to voice his question for him: What? He glanced at Lightning briefly before his gaze fell back on Ven.

"I wanted to keep Light all to myself," Ven said, eyebrows furrowing slightly as he looked to Riku. "I didn't want to lose her like my mom and dad, so I wanted to keep her close after everything. It was easier to do that when I convinced myself that you were responsible for hurting her before, but...I was wrong." He was beginning to see now that Light wouldn't have even survived if it wasn't for Riku.

Riku's eyebrows remained furrowed, though the curiosity began to leave his eyes as he looked at Ven. So, was he saying that he didn't blame Riku for anything? There was no grudge?

"You screwed up big time every once in a while, but Light wouldn't even be here if it wasn't for you," Ven said, faintly shaking his head as he glanced at his sister. She seemed stunned that he was being so open now, but this was the first time he was really telling himself the truth after so long. He looked back up at Riku, seriousness and gratitude present in his gaze. "So thanks for saving her. And sorry for giving you more blame than you deserved." That wasn't right.

Riku blinked at the words, nodding a little. "...Thanks, Ven," he said softly. He hadn't expected this at all, and by Lightning's silence, she hadn't either. But, he appreciated the words, even the ones about him messing up. Everything was the truth; he could tell by Ven's sincerity.

"...Ven?" Light said after a few moments, looking over to see the weak smile on his expression. She slowly took her hand off Riku's arm, not knowing how to respond to her little brother.

 

Ven smiled weakly to his sister, turning to face her more. "Just promise I won't lose you too, okay Claire?" That was the first time that he called her by that name in a while, and he spoke it for a reason. It showed that she was still his sister, no matter what.

 

Lightning smiled, releasing Riku's hand to hug her little brother. "I promise," she assured him quietly. She wouldn't let her relationship with Riku ruin things with Ven. She wouldn't abandon him.

Riku felt a weak smile form on his lips, both of his hands at his sides now as he watched the interaction between Lightning and Ven. If he would have looked in the other direction, he would have seen Kairi smile as well, and link her hands behind her back as she witnessed what was happening. But his focus was on the girl that was still his girlfriend, and the boy who he still considered a friend, even after everything.

Ven pulled back after a few moments, glad that he made the decision he had. Light seemed happier already. But there was one more thing that still had to be done. "Hug him," he said to Light, jerking his head before he looked to Riku with a smirk. "I always have wondered if Riku has a softer side." Apparently he did, and he was glad. He wanted his sister with somebody who would treat her right.

Riku blinked at that, his smile turning into a smirk as he looked at Ven. Sneaky kid, he thought, but it was a pleased and amused thought all the same. He let his eyes fall on Lightning then, wondering if she would do as her brother said.

Light smiled, lifting a hand to ruffle Ven's hair. "You're just saying that so you can get out of my hug," she teased. She saw Ven smile in agreement with a cheesy smile, and she just silently smiled at him for a second. But then she turned back towards Riku and lifted her hands to his shoulders so she could hug him. Should we give into Ven's order this time? her eyes seemed to ask.

Riku saw the look in Light's eyes, and he shrugged with a small smirk. I don't see why not. He took a small step forward and wrapped his arms around Light's lower back, bringing her close to him in an embrace.

Sora witnessed Lightning wrap her arms around Riku more tightly and stand on her toes so her chin was above Riku's shoulder, the teen also seeing Ven take a small step back to give them room. "Awww..." Sora said, a small smirk on his lips. Riku did have a sweet side.

Riku could see Sora clearly from where he stood, and could easily hear him coo at this scene. The older boy sent him a playful glare, but his smile from hugging Light remained, Riku hearing Kairi giggle as he kept his arms around Lightning.

Light smiled, turning her head to see Riku glaring at his friends. "If you want to chase him down, I understand," she said to her boyfriend. Of course, she could tell Riku wasn't really offended, but she could also understand if he wanted to punish Sora and Kairi for watching them.

Riku chuckled a little. "Good, because he's gonna get it," he said, but he was sure Sora could hear him. As much as he didn't want to let go of Lightning right now, Sora deserved to be punished for eavesdropping. And so did Kairi; she knew better.

Light smirked, slowly releasing Riku from the embrace. She didn't really want to let go, but she knew she could hold him again soon. It was okay now. Everything was finally alright.

Riku looked to Lightning, pulling his arms back from around her slender form. "Just give me a few minutes. That should be enough time," he said with a small smirk. It was a devious one as well, because Sora had no idea what was coming.
