Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Riku walked with Light for a few minutes, Jasmine only a foot ahead of him. She didn't tug on the leash impatiently, which was good. "So..." Riku started softly, turning his head to look at the person beside him. "How were your last...ten days, while I was kept prisoner?"

"It was okay. I was with Ven most of the time," Light responded softly, lightly kicking a stone that was in her path. "Even if you weren't around, he was still with me almost all the time." It had driven her crazy, but she was glad things would be different from now on.
Riku nodded slightly. "I guess he really missed you," he replied softly. If Riku wasn't around and Ven was still with Lightning every day, that had to be the reason.

"I didn't realize why he was so clingy until today," Light revealed quietly, eyes down on the path. Ven told Riku why he was so clingy at the same time that he told Lightning. If she had known, maybe she could have helped him somehow.
Riku hummed softly, focusing on the ground as they walked. It hadn't just been him that Ven was angry about; it had been the death of their parents. He didn't want to lose Light.

"I wish he would have told me," Light stated softly, lightly kicking another stone ahead of her on the path as she looked down. "It would have made things easier." She would have been more sympathetic to her brother, and she would have helped him. But she didn't know there was a problem on his side.
"Something must have been holding him back," Riku thought aloud, that being the only conclusion he could come to. There had to be something keeping Ven from sharing the truth.

"We've never talked about that day, when I changed my name," Lightning said, faintly shaking her head as she linked her hands behind her back. She was, of course, referring to the day where she witnessed her parents get murdered and her brother get kidnapped. The worst day of her life. "He probably felt intimidated."
"Intimidated?" Riku repeated in wonder, turning his head to look at the girl beside him. Did she mean he had been intimidated by her? That was what Riku thought.

"He knows I was affected enough by that day to change my name," Light said without looking over at Riku. "So he recognized that it wasn't something I wanted to talk about." Was it her fault he was so worked up over that day? Because he couldn't talk to her?
Riku didn't say anything, only looking forward. So Light was blaming herself. That was what it sounded like to him, but he wouldn't speak, in case she had to say more.

Light stayed silent now, though her thoughts were anything but that. I've failed Ven yet again, haven't I? she silently thought. She failed to realize what the real problem was with him, and how badly he was hurting. She was at fault.
"You shouldn't blame yourself," Riku said, breaking the silence. "Your past isn't something you can change." He knew she was still upset about that day; he could hear it in her voice. Ven was too, but they still had each other. That had to count for something.

"Right," Lightning said softly. Riku was right; she couldn't change it. But that didn't affect how much she hated that day, or how much she regretted everything that occurred because of that. She was messed up because of stupid Xehanort.
"You still have him," Riku continued, glancing over at Light. "That has to mean something to you." She had her brother, family. And they would be together for a long time; she had a chance to reconnect the family bond that was lost.
  • Author
"It does, trust me," Light said, nodding slightly at the truth. Reconnecting with Ven meant more than words could ever express. But as long as she was so upset about that day, things would never be completely at ease between her and her brother.
"...You guys both have an obstacle to get past," Riku said after a small minute of looking at Lightning. "It won't be nearly as hard if you go together." He had faith in her; she could do it, and so could Ven.

Lightning nodded faintly, switching her gaze from the path to Jasmine. "I'm sure Ven'll be fine now," she said quietly. "He's strong." She was so proud of her little brother after he admitted his mistake today, and she knew now that he would try moving forward and leave the past behind. But she didn't know about herself. She might run away from it again.
Riku hummed softly, looking forward. Lightning was right about that. Even if he and Ven hadn't gotten along lately, he still admired his strength; even after all that happened to him in the past, he still found happiness. Riku still lived with regret.

Light looked down at Jasmine, seeing that the dog was unaware of the serious conversation occurring behind her. Lightning envied her, since she found happiness and peace so easily. Don't get me wrong, she thought, I am grateful that things are better between me, Ven, and Riku. But bringing up the past still hurts. A lot.
"Things will get better," Riku said softly, speaking to himself but also to Lightning. They have to. After all the struggles everyone went through just recently, fate couldn't be so cruel as to tear happiness away from them when it was just in their reach.

Light hummed softly, glancing over at Riku for the first time in a while. "It will," she said, the confidence within her voice surprising her. But she found hope that she would do more than just survive life. She'd really live.
Riku looked to the side at the person beside him, a weak smirk showing up on his lips. "About time," he said, trying to lighten the aura around them. It had been too long since things went right, but today changed everything. At least for him.

Light smiled softly, able to tell that Riku was trying to make things lighter. She was learning to read him pretty quickly. "Just don't get grounded again," she said, her faint smile turning into a small smirk.
Riku's smirk grew, a small chuckle leaving him. "I don't think I'll be doing any sneaking out anymore," he replied, his eyes still on her. His girlfriend. He wouldn't need to sneak out anymore to see her. He could see her whenever he wanted.
