Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Light blinked again in surprise, looking over to the left. "...Jasmine?" she said softly in wonder. Riku still had his pet? Granted, she did look older, but she was still alive. That meant she couldn't have gone more than ten years into the future, not that she believed it was that much after seeing Riku.
Riku glanced over his shoulder at Lightning, smiling a little. "You didn't think I'd leave her behind, did you?" he asked. When they were forced to evacuate the Islands, there was no way he could leave Jasmine to suffer alone. "She's the only piece of home I've got left."

Lightning hummed quietly, both in recognition and sadness. Right...Destiny Islands was frozen in ice. She wanted to know the cause of that, but she couldn't ask important questions like that right now when her mind was so fuzzy. She needed to be able to process all the information Riku gave her.
Riku found a clean pair of shorts and a t-shirt for Lightning to wear, and he turned around. "Here," he said, approaching her and holding the clothing out to her. "Put these on." He hoped they would help.

"Thank you," Light said softly, taking the clothes once Riku was close enough to hand them to her. She saw a bathroom attached to his bedroom, so she started towards that, ignoring how her hair was probably a mess right now. She'd fix it in a minute.
Riku nodded and watched Light walk away, the twenty-three year old remaining where he was. He still couldn't believe it. After all these years of thinking she was gone...Light was here with him.

It took Light a few minutes to take off the clothing that was practically attached to her since she was frozen, but she managed to do it. She hung up her clothing in Riku's bathroom and chose to take off her boots and leave her sword leaning against the bathroom wall. Riku would have told her if there was a threat. She looked in the mirror and fixed her hair, ignoring the expression she herself couldn't read before she exited the bathroom and went into Riku's room.
Riku was leaning back on his bed, his back against the headboard as he waited for Light to come out of the bathroom. Jasmine was on one side of the bed beside him, leaving an open spot next to him as he rubbed her fur. Her ears perked when the door opened and he turned his head to see Lightning in his clothes, which were just a little too big. He smiled a little at the sight, but otherwise didn't say anything.

Light immediately noticed Riku and Jasmine on the bed, though her focus was mostly on Riku. She smiled weakly at him and approached him, sitting down on the bed beside him without really thinking about it.
"Better?" Riku asked, his eyes trailing Lightning until she was sitting beside him. He looked at her the same way he had before: with an unfamiliar kind of adoration and affection. But somehow, five years later, it was familiar. He felt like he was eighteen again.

"A little bit," Light responded with a small nod, leaning back against the headboard with her legs laying out in front of her on the bed. She was still freezing, of course, but the clothing helped some.
Riku nodded slightly, though he reached for Light's hand that rested nearby. A little bit was better than nothing, he supposed. But he wouldn't let that upset him; he had Lightning with him. Not only was she company, but she was the best company. He couldn't ask for a better find while he was away.

Lightning glanced down at Riku's hand on hers, and she turned her hand slightly to hold his before she looked back up at his face. She just couldn't get over it. "...You grew up," she stated softly. He was older now than he had been the last time she saw him.
Riku let his eyes rest on Lightning at the words, and he nodded a little. "It's been five years, Light," he said softly. Of course he grew up. He was even older than her now.

Light glanced across Riku, seeing Jasmine lay beside him. "Five years," she repeated quietly. That wasn't that much. She had been fearing more than that, but five years still wasn't good. So much must have happened, especially with Destiny Islands being frozen over.
Riku tilted his head slightly as he looked at Light, hearing her softly spoken words. "We...thought we lost you," he told her quietly. For good. She hadn't come back, and everyone had been devastated.

Light looked up at Riku again in surprise, able to tell by his expression that he wasn't lying. But she was confused. "...You didn't seem too surprised to see me today," she stated softly. How could that be if he thought she was dead?
Riku smiled weakly, squeezing her hand. "You didn't see my face," he told Light softly. She couldn't have, since his helmet had been on. If she'd seen his face when he finally realized it was her, she would have known how surprised he was.

Light smiled weakly, and since she was sitting so close to Riku, she tilted her head and let it rest on his shoulder. "Touche," she said quietly. Riku was right about that point; she hadn't been able to see his face at all. In fact, she first thought he was her enemy. Boy was she wrong.
"Mm," Riku hummed softly. But, there was something he was leaving out, and that was Warp. He tightened his hold on Light's hand slightly at the thought, though the weak smile didn't leave his face. Warp had told him Light would be coming around soon, and he'd been waiting for six months for her to come. Here she was.

"Thank you for saving me," Light said softly after a few moments. If he hadn't come in when he had, then she would have been a goner for sure. And if he hadn't taken her away from Destiny Islands, she would have died there from the cold.
"Hm," Riku hummed softly, lowering his sight to Lightning. "Always." Even if he was a little late, he was glad he came too. If he hadn't... Well, he didn't want to think about that.
  • Author
"How did you know something was happening there?" Lightning asked softly, allowing herself to shut her eyes and regain some energy she lost from the cold. She was getting warmer since she was touching Riku, and instead of getting sleepy in comfort, she was becoming more alert in concern to the situation. She had a lot to learn.
Riku kept his eyes on Lightning for a second before he looked away, staring ahead at the opposite wall. "...Warp told me you were coming," he admitted lowly, not liking the thought of the man. He hadn't seen him in six months, but that didn't mean he forgot about him.

Lightning opened her eyes in alarm, looking up at Riku as she kept her head on his shoulder. "Warp's here?" she asked, though the answer was obvious. It made sense, didn't it? In that vortex or whatever it was, he said he'd see her soon before he vanished and she ended up in Destiny Islands. He was in the same time period she was.
