A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Riku nodded a little. "Has been for six months," he answered, turning his head slightly to look down at Lightning. "He said you would follow soon. I waited for you, Light." He kept his hold on her hand, staring into her eyes, meaning it. He waited for six months. No... He waited for five years.

Light was left awestruck by what Riku said last, and how he stared into her eyes. She felt some color return to her face then, and she didn't separate from the gaze she held with Riku. He knew she was coming...he waited. Why was that so incredibly significant to her?

"...Five years," Riku said softly, remembering how long it had been. How tragic and lonely and saddening it was. "It's been too long since I've seen you or heard your voice." He thought he lost her forever, they all did.

Light's lips parted in sadness, the girl not knowing what to say, except..."I'm sorry," she said quietly. She didn't mean for this to happen; she had been trying to stop Warp. And what was five years for Riku was possibly five hours for her. It was impossible to comprehend.

Riku smiled weakly but shook his head a little. He didn't want Lightning to blame herself; she was just doing what she thought was right, and that was going after Warp. Unfortunately, things ended up this way, but Riku was older now. Wiser, stronger. He could take care of Light, much better than before.

Light saw the look in Riku's eyes and his smile, which was somewhat sad, and she thought of another question. "What happened, after Warp got away?" Lightning asked softly after a few moments. She didn't say anything about getting dragged away, because she didn't need to. Riku surely knew what she was asking about.

Riku's smile went away and he turned his gaze forward, a frown appearing instead as he glared at the wall. "That's a long story," he said lowly. "But to keep it short, we went through a lot and fought off too many enemies to count." After that, Warp was their main focus.

"Is everyone still alive?" Lightning asked after that, keeping her gaze on Riku and her head on his shoulder. She knew Ven and Serah were alright, thank goodness, but he hadn't said anything about anybody else.

Riku nodded slightly. "Ven took off when he was eighteen to take care of Serah. He did it for you; he felt it was what you would have wanted," he explained. That was when they thought she was dead...but that wasn't the case.

Light shifted her gaze to the wall, gaze soft at the thought of her brother believing she was dead. "Did he stay strong?" she asked. Was he still himself, bright and optimistic, even after his sister was gone?

"Yeah," Riku said, nodding slightly. "He trained a lot with Terra and Aqua so he could gain more strength and go to Cocoon. As far as I know, everyone there is fine, your friend Hope included." He turned his head a little to look down at Lightning, knowing she would like to hear that.

Light found herself smiling at that, and she believed it was the first smile she wore since this whole thing started. "That's great," she said, relieved to hear that. Ven was alright, Serah was alright, and so was Hope. He was like her third sibling.

"Mm," Riku hummed, though he continued. "And Terra and Aqua, they got married a year ago. Now they're off fighting the Darkness together." He looked away, thinking about his dear friend and the man who crowned him his successor. "I haven't seen them in months."

"How romantic," Light said with a weak smirk, still looking at the wall. Of course, fighting off the Darkness wasn't romantic at all, but it really was sweet that those two were together. She had hoped they would have a happy ending.

Riku "hmphed" weakly at Light's words, glancing down at her before he lifted his free hand to pet Jasmine. "They still had a honeymoon," he said with a small smile. "Don't you worry." Fighting off the Darkness wasn't exactly a vacation, so they took one for real before returning to duty.

Light hummed, her small smirk turning into a genuine smile. "Good." That was all she said, and all she needed to say. It was good that Terra and Aqua could have some peace before they performed their duty.

"Roxas and Namine are married too," Riku said, scratching behind Jasmine's ears. "Roxas proposed before Terra even thought of it, so he and Namine got married before them." He was happy for them, since they were happy too.

"What about Sora and Kairi?" Light asked, wondering about the two friends Riku hadn't mentioned. They were happy too, weren't they? They had to be; those two were inseparable as long as she knew them.

"Kairi's in Radiant Garden with Namine while Sora and Roxas work to protect the Princesses of Heart," Riku explained softly. "Sora's still going steady with her, but he's focused on protecting the Princesses more, her included."

Lightning hummed again, nodding faintly against Riku's shoulder. That was...sad. Sora and Kairi weren't married? She figured they would have been the first. But at least they were still together.

"That's it, really," Riku said, concluding the story. That was all that needed to be said over the past few years. Everyone was doing their best; they moved on from what happened to the Islands.

"What about you?" Light asked softly, looking up at Riku. He hadn't said anything about what he was up to, and she was still curious about why he couldn't have anybody knowing his identity earlier. What was that all about?

"...I'm hunting down Warp and his lackeys," Riku said, his tone turning hard at the thought of the man. He was still up to no good, even if he technically "disappeared" for four years or so. Even while he was gone, there was still trouble. But Riku was focusing on Warp solely now.

That's not quite what I meant, Lightning silently thought, diverting her gaze to Jasmine. "Did you ever...fall in love?" she asked randomly voice hushed. Did Riku find somebody he wanted to spend his life with?

Riku turned his head to look down at Lightning, not expecting that kind of question. But then he looked forward again, his eyes on the bare wall. "Well..." he said, running his thumb back and forth over Jasmine's head. "I've met a few girls in the past couple years..."
