A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Light nodded faintly, and she subtly took her head off his shoulder. She could figure out the rest. He met somebody, and she was probably being protected by Sora and Roxas as Riku hunted down Warp. It made sense; she hadn't expected Riku not to fall in love.

Those girls had been pretty, Riku thought silently, remembering them. He was used to a lot of people just being blurred faces in his memory, but he'd actually become friends with those girls, since they helped him out a few times. But, they weren't her.

"Are you happy with her?" Light asked softly, looking at the wall ahead of her as she slowly loosened her grip on Riku's hand. It wasn't right to cling to him if there was somebody else that he loved. She was a person from his past; nothing more. She couldn't be in his future.

Riku turned his head, able to see Light clearly now. The girl I love? he thought silently. "...Yeah," he answered. "I am." He was happy with her. Always.

"That's good," Light responded, a weak smile appearing on her lips. She was genuinely happy for Riku, but...sad, too. She believed the two of them had a lot of potential, even when they only dated for about two months. "Are Sora and Roxas protecting her while you're hunting down Warp?" She was curious.

Riku felt Light's loose grip on his hand, but he didn't react to it completely. "...They're not doing a very good job," he answered, his eyes still resting on Light. They couldn't have, anyway.

Light blinked in confusion, looking away from the wall back up to Riku. "Then why is she with them?" That really didn't make sense; why would Riku keep the girl he loved with Sora and Roxas if they couldn't protect her? She knew how protective Riku was in the past; had something changed.

"She's not," Riku said, shaking his head a little. She never had been. Time had never been on their side, or hers.

Light felt her confusion grow as she kept her gaze on Riku. "I'm lost," she said bluntly. She didn't understand...Hadn't Riku just implied she was supposed to be protected by Sora and Roxas?

Riku smiled a little and squeezed Lightning's hand he still held. "She's with me," he said, tilting his head as he gave Light a look. It was her. He loved her.

Lightning felt some of her confusion disappear at Riku's look, and what he was implying was obvious. She was the girl that he liked. The one he was happy with. "But...five years..." It didn't make sense he'd wait that long for her.

Riku smiled a little. "I never stopped thinking about you, you know," he pointed out softly. Every day for the past four and half years he thought she was dead, and he mourned over the loss. But when he saw Warp, he'd been scared and worried about her. Riku was glad she was alive.

"Riku..." Light said softly, not knowing what else to say. No, that was a lie. She did know what to say. "...You should have moved on. I...There must have been someone out there who you wanted to spend your life with."

Riku shook his head. "Nobody," he said simply. He wanted her. Was that too hard to believe? Not one girl he met the past few years had anything similar to Light, nothing. She was truly unique, and he liked that about her the most. If nobody else had that quality, nobody else could have his heart.

Light blushed at Riku's confident answer, her gaze going to Jasmine. She didn't know what to say. She and Riku couldn't possibly be together now, could they? No, of course not, not while Warp was around. He was after her, because she stole something from him.

Riku kept his eyes on Light even when she looked away, and for the first time in five years he saw her blush again. He smiled a little at the sight, missing it. He missed everything about her, but he missed her the most.

"I...don't know what to say," Light finally said, looking up to see Riku's small smile. He looked good, wearing that smile. Actually, he looked good in general. He was stronger than before physically, and something in his eyes was different. But at the same time, she could recognize him by those eyes that she grew to love.

Riku smiled a little more. "Heh," he laughed quietly. "You don't have to say anything." He didn't really expect her to. And it didn't matter; his feelings were still the same, and just as strong.

Light smiled weakly, subconsciously tightening her grip on Riku's hand again. If she didn't have to say anything, then she wouldn't. Of course, she would probably change the subject soon, but that was because she knew she didn't belong in this time. She needed to go where she belonged.

Riku kept his eyes on Light, knowing that his point had been proven. He liked her too much to forget her, but he had a feeling it was more of love. If I just "liked" someone, I wouldn't have thought about them for the next five years. I...love her.

"...So, what now?" Light asked, her smile fading away in seriousness. She was with Riku and she knew the situation with all his friends, but she didn't know much about Warp still. And she had yet to inform him Warp was out to get her, if he hadn't figured that out yet.

Riku's smile faded away at the change of topic, and he looked forward. "...Dunno," he said. "But if we have to leave, I have to go back undercover." He couldn't risk anyone knowing who he truly was.

Light looked at Jasmine, furrowing her eyebrows slightly in thought. Undercover...And he had said earlier he couldn't have anybody figuring out his identity. "You don't want people knowing who you are because...it puts people at risk?" she guessed, piecing things together quickly. She always was intelligent like that.

"Right," Riku said with a small nod. "Everyone has to hide their identities for our families' safety. We even had to change what our armor looked like to keep them protected." That was why his was all black.

"And you couldn't reveal yourself to me sooner because if I said your name and somebody heard, it would have been catastrophic," Light concluded with a faint nod. It all made perfect sense to her now.
