Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"Oh..." Namine said softly, not knowing how to respond. Roxas wasn't the only one acting strange; she felt like she was as well. But she couldn't pick out how she was behaving differently, which left her confused. Why was this so weird?
"...The only conclusion I can come to is that I've been away from you for a few days too long," Roxas continued after a short silence. "And, that's why I'm being weird about this. I've just missed you..." And it was true, because he did miss her. A lot. And now that he had alone time with Namine, he didn't know what to do or say. It was like Roxas was back in that awkward stage between friends or more with the girl he loved, and he didn't like that part of their relationship in the past, because it was so confusing.

"I missed you too," Namine said softly, looking down at her hand on Roxas's leg. She realized that she had said this earlier, and so had Roxas, but it felt wrong not to say it back to him. She really had missed him, very badly. And now that she was with him, she felt partially responsible for this weirdness.
Roxas smiled weakly, liking to hear that but hating the circumstances that caused it. "I know..." he said softly, turning his head a little to look at Namine. He didn't want things to be this way. He just wanted to be himself with her, normal. But something was holding him back...

Namine glanced up at Roxas, but then she looked back at her hand on his leg. She didn't get it...why was this so awkward? They had been apart before, for longer than just a few days. A few days was nothing compared to when he was gone for two months.
Roxas pressed his lips together, thinking about things for a second. When he came to another conclusion, he spoke it. "I think...I'm just still scared," he said softly. "After that whole thing with Vanitas...and with Xehanort..." Roxas sighed, shaking his head and looking down at Namine's hand. "I dunno."

Namine bit down on her lip lightly, looking down at the ground. Roxas...was scared? She hardly ever heard that from him. But she knew that it was truth; she had caught a glimpse of it when Vanitas had been about to...finish his work. Even at a distance, she had been able to see it.
That has to be it, Roxas thought. Ever since then, he hadn't really been near Namine at all, and they hadn't really discussed that situation. Yeah, it had been bad, really bad. So bad that Roxas nearly died and in front of Namine. That was awful...

Namine was about to say that she was scared as well, but she didn't bother. If Roxas had seen her face, he probably already knew what she had been feeling. And if not, then it was better that way. He shouldn't have been worrying about her when he was the one that nearly...died.
Roxas ruffled his hair again, not sure what to say or do. This was a bad thing to mention, but he really thought that was the reason things were so weird between him and the girl he loved. He almost died in front of her, and that was one of the things he never wanted to happen. Ever. He never wanted Namine to witness that.

Namine scooted closer to Roxas, her head finding his shoulder. She just...wanted to be close to him. It was bad enough she had lost one of her boys lately; she didn't want to lose the other on too. Even if Ty as just a dog, he was still her best friend.
Roxas's arm on the couch came down and wrapped around Namine's shoulders, bringing her closer to him immediately. Maybe no words needed to be said then. Just this. Just holding each other and being with one another...that was all they needed after something so terrible.

Namine brought her hand off Roxas's knee and wrapped it over his stomach instead, the blonde feeling the warmth of their contact. Back at that moment when she saw Roxas shut his eyes and wait for Vanitas to end it...she had just felt so terrified. She thought she would lose him and be completely alone.
"I'm sorry," Roxas whispered hoarsely, referring to having Namine witness any of what happened then. He turned his head and kissed her blonde hair, closing his eyes. Vanitas had completely caught him off-guard, and because of that, he nearly died...and couldn't do anything about Namine seeing it.

Namine tightened her embrace around Roxas's stomach, saddened to hear him apologize. "Don't say that," she whispered weakly. It wasn't something that he could have controlled.
Roxas pulled back at that, lowering his head beside Namine's. He couldn't help but apologize; he felt responsible. But then again, Destiny Islands was supposed to be a safe place...and he was just ambushed. Maybe it wasn't his fault, but he was supposed to protect Namine...and he almost failed.

Namine kept her eyes on the ground, feeling Roxas move his head. But what was she supposed to say? It wasn't his fault that Vanitas had almost beaten him...he was just beaten by somebody who was a better fighter. It was sad, but true.
Vanitas was worse than Smith, Roxas thought, thinking skill-wise. He had actually been able to land hits on his old foe, but Vanitas was too quick and slick. It was nearly ridiculous... "I'm just glad he's gone," Roxas muttered faintly, closing his eyes. He was really happy for that.

Namine bit her lip lightly, agreeing. "Me too," she said softly, lowering her head slightly and letting her bangs impede her vision. Vanitas had been awful to everyone from what she heard; it was very good that he was gone.
Roxas released a soft breath, grateful for something else: that Namine was safe from harm. He nearly failed to protect her with Vanitas, but now that he was gone, the freak would never even have the chance to go after her.

Namine shut her eyes, not knowing what else to say. That had been a scary experience on Destiny Islands, but she had been living with a lot of fear lately. Ever since Ty, she had been scared of the smallest things. But when it came to Roxas, she was terrified. She was terrified of losing him.
Roxas tightened his hold around Namine, bringing her even closer to his side. "...Love you," he whispered quietly, his head near hers still. He hadn't said that in a while, too long for his liking. After what they just experienced, it was about time he said it.
  • Author
Namine's eyes became moist as she lightly gripped Roxas's shirt with the hand that was over his stomach. "Love you too," she whispered, swallowing with hope of keeping her emotions in check.
Roxas felt himself smile weakly at the returned words, and he kissed Namine's head of hair again. He pulled back after a minute, setting his chin atop her head as he closed his eyes. He didn't want to think about Vanitas anymore; instead, he wanted to think about how much time he had left with Namine... Forever, right?
  • Author
Namine forced herself to release her grip on Roxas's shirt, the blonde also forcing herself to be composed. Now wasn't the time to get all emotional; Roxas had seen the sad side of her too much lately already. She just needed to be glad that things were alright now.
