Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku let his fingers scratch behind Jasmine's ears, but his eyes stayed on Lightning. Many minutes passed with the only sound being Lightning working on the vessel. But Riku noticed something drip from her hand and fall to the stone on the ground. "Light?" he called, pushing himself up from the piece of debris he was sitting on.

"Yes?" Lightning answered in return, using her left hand to push a few buttons on the screen as she stared at that. It looked like it was finally working, but she didn't know about the weapon's system yet. She'd have to fly the ship and test that out before she took the vehicle into battle.
Riku walked closer, and once he could clearly see Light's hand, his eyebrows furrowed. "You're...bleeding," he stated, his eyes stuck on the blood dripping from her fingers. Why was she bleeding? And why hadn't she healed herself?

Light looked away from the computer screen at that, looking down to the hand that Riku was staring at. "Oh." She must have reopened the cuts somewhere along the line. That explains why my hand has been stinging so much in the past few minutes.
Riku walked a few feet further, stopping right beside Lightning. "What happened?" he asked, reaching for her wrist so he could take a closer look. He didn't remember her hand bleeding last night. Was she just hurting herself by working on the ship?

Light moved out of the ship, standing on two feet when she switched her gaze from her hand to Riku. "Working probably just opened up some wounds," she said with a faint shrug. It wasn't that big of a deal. She had these wounds because of holding onto Riku's armor to bring him home, but it was alright. She had no regrets about that.
Riku finally found Light's wrist, his fingers curling around it gently as he lifted her hand closer to his face. "Some wounds from what?" he asked, lifting his eyes to hers. She casted Cure on herself after she woke up; those cuts wouldn't have been here because of that.

"From when I had to bring you home," Light responded, glancing down at the hand before she lifted her gaze to Riku again. "I had to make sure you stayed on the ship, so I held onto your arms." Both her hands and lower arms were cut up because of the claws that had been on his arms, not that she was going to blame Riku for that.
Riku's eyebrows pulled together at the words. "My armor did this to you," he concluded, looking back down at the cuts in her hand and her arm. He knew she should have left him there, in the jungle. He would have flown himself home.

Light shrugged faintly, able to tell Riku wasn't pleased with her response. "No big deal," she said, meaning it. She wouldn't have left Riku back in that jungle; she could have never forgiven herself if something happened to him. It was either she stayed with him there or they both left, and she chose the latter option.
"Why haven't you cured yourself?" Riku asked after a small moment, lifting his eyes to Lightning again. He slowly released her wrist, having a feeling that she would need one of the potions he had, or at least a Cure spell.

"I felt like it'd be a waste of energy," Lightning responded honestly, her hand curling up slightly when it was back down by her side. Shifting Paradigms got tiring after a while, and she wanted to save her energy just in case something happened. These wounds were nothing compared to injuries she had before.
"Then allow me," Riku said, holding his hand out to his side and summoning his red and black weapon to his grasp. "It's the least I can do." A healing spell wasn't even that big of a deal, but he hated the sight of Lightning's blood. He wanted it to go away.

Light shrugged faintly, glancing down at the weapon. "Do what you want, but don't do it out of obligation," she said. "You're the one that saved me, remember?" When she woke up after the explosion, he was protecting her. And she had no idea what happened after she lost consciousness the second time. Did he save her then too? No, he couldn't have; he was knocked out too...
"Maybe, but this isn't obligation," Riku said, then casting a cure spell as he flicked his Keyblade up to the air, focusing on healing Light's wounds. He wanted to help her, because he cared too much to watch her suffer. Besides, he never did like the sight of her blood.

Light lifted her hands slightly and looked down at them, seeing the cuts go away. Some blood lingered, but that was the way it always was. Cure spells never did wash away the blood. Regardless, she lifted her gaze up to Riku as she lowered her hands back to her sides. "Thanks," she said to him, nodding slightly. Now that she was cured, she realized how much pain she had been ignoring for a while. It had been worse than she thought.
Riku smiled a little. "All you have to do is ask," he said softly, summoning his blade away. He would never mind helping Light out; he believed that she could never be a burden.

Light smiled faintly, looking up at Riku's eyes. This time, it was her turn to stare. She could see his eyes better now that his hair was shorter, and she could see a difference in them compared to how they looked five years ago. Riku was more mature, wiser, and stronger. But he still had the same heart.
Riku caught Light's gaze, and he knew she was staring by the way her eyes lingered on his. That was alright, because he did it right back. Just as he had asked her, he wouldn't judge her harshly. After all, it had been five years. At least for him.

Light took a small step forward after a moment and wrapped her arms around Riku's lower back, her head finding his shoulder. She couldn't say why she was hugging him, other than she wanted to. Yesterday's hug, when she was freezing cold and soaked and shocked to see him, hadn't been enough for her.
Riku looked down at Lightning's shorter form before he wrapped his arms around her shoulders and upper back. "What's this for?" he asked softly, the light breeze blowing some of her pink hair against his cheek. He didn't mind the hug at all, loving her touch.
  • Author
"I just...wanted to be close to you, I guess," Lightning said softly, eyes open as her head was turned so she faced in the direction of Riku's head and other shoulder. But she kept her gaze forward, wanting to savor being in Riku's arms.
"Don't worry about that," Riku told Light gently. "You're already the closest you can be." She had his heart, there was no doubt about that. Riku had figured that out over the last couple years, when he couldn't stop thinking about her. His heart wouldn't go to anyone else; it was with Light.

Light nodded faintly, the side of her head still on Riku's shoulder. "...I thought it was all over last night," she confessed softly. "When that explosion went off, and when I passed out again." Both times, she believed she was a goner.
"I was scared too," Riku admitted, his eyebrows furrowing slightly. He had been scared that he lost Light, but when he found out she was alive, he protected her at all costs. And the second time she went down, he made sure the shield around her was stronger than the one around himself. He wouldn't let her get hurt.
