Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"How did you find me?" Light asked softly, curious. She lost contact with Riku after her ship crashed on that world, and she hadn't had a chance to tell him which world she was by so he could find her. She hadn't expected to wake up and find him with her, even if Gual had been about to kill her at the time.
"I found their radio channel and listened in on their conversation," Riku stated simply. "They mentioned something about a jungle, and I knew which world you were on instantly. I didn't hesitate turning around and coming for you." He wouldn't ever.

Light hummed softly, nodding faintly in understanding. That made sense. She wouldn't have even thought of the possibility of Riku finding her because of their enemies. But she was alright with that method, or any method, since he saved her life more than once last night.
"I'm just glad you're alright," Riku said with a small sigh of relief, lifting his one hand to cup the back of Lightning's head. He was talking about last night, but also about her being here in general. The last five years had been horrible without her.

Light found herself touched by Riku's sentiment and gesture, her eyes softening. "Only because of you," she said softly. Without him, she would have died a long time ago. He saved her five years ago a few times, and already a few times in this era. She was indebted to him.
"Hm." Riku smiled faintly and let his eyes fall to rest on Light. "I would die to protect you. You know that as well as I do." There was no way he could let her die. He couldn't live without her. When he had to for the last few years, he'd been miserable, and alone.

"Just don't plan on dying anytime soon," Light requested softly, holding onto Riku a little more tightly. "You know I'd be lost without you." She wasn't being sarcastic; she was being honest. In this time, she would be lost without Riku by her side. And honestly, she felt like she would be the same if anything happened to him in her present time. She needed him.
Riku laughed weakly. "Trust me, it's not in the agenda," he replied softly, running his hand down the length of her soft pink hair before bringing it back up to cup her head. He didn't want to leave her, just as he didn't want her to leave him.

"Glad to hear it," Light responded quietly, shutting her eyes when Riku ran his hand over her hair. But still...she found that she didn't want to let go of him. Because as long as she was in his arms and he was in hers, nothing could happen. They would be alright as long as they had each other.
"Mm," Riku hummed softly, lowering his face closer to Light's head. His lips rested in her hair and he gave her a small kiss, but didn't pull back when he was done. He closed his eyes and just held her, wanting all of this stress and Darkness to go away so he could just be with her again.

Lightning didn't bother saying anything else, though her heart did skip a beat when Riku kissed her. That was the first kiss he gave her in five years, unless he kissed her in her sleep before when she couldn't have noticed.
Riku squeezed Lightning gently, just taking in the feel of her body against his and her being in his arms. He didn't want to let this moment go. But if they got her back to the time she belonged in, there would be plenty more of these moments in their future. Together.

"Five years," Light said softly after a few moments of silence. "And it feels like this hasn't changed at all." Riku held her with the same affection he did when he was just eighteen years old and they were fond of each other. She was still fond of him, of course, since nothing changed for her, but she was surprised at how strong his feelings were after all this time.
"That's because it hasn't," Riku said, lifting his lips from her hair so he could speak. He opened his eyes and looked at the ground. "The last five years I've spent alone, and that's given me plenty of time to think about you."
  • Author
"...It must have been so hard," Light commented quietly, opening her eyes and looking down at the ground. It must have been hard to have these feelings and be lonely for five years. She couldn't imagine it.
Riku frowned slightly, reflecting on the last couple of years he spent here, in this castle, alone. "It was, but overcoming everything made me stronger in the end," he told Lightning softly. "Missing you and thinking about you every day did make me sad, since I thought you were dead. But, I knew that you wouldn't want me to be so depressed, and neither would Sora or Kairi, so I pushed through it." I was strong, for all of my friends.

Light smiled weakly, a new thought coming to mind. "When I go back, you won't have to go through that again," she stated softly. "I'll be with you." Riku wouldn't have to worry about being alone or thinking she was dead. She'd be right by his side.
Riku squeezed Lightning at the words, the action involuntary. "I'm glad for that," he said. "This will all be different, but better. Much better." He was speaking of now, this future. It would be gone, and he hoped it would be brighter than the Darkness that was settled in on this universe.

Light nodded faintly in agreement. "It will," she agreed softly. "But we've got a lot of work to do before I can go back." They still had to defeat Warp's two remaining lackeys and defeat him. Neither task would be easy.
"I know," Riku replied quietly, looking down at Lightning. "And you will go back." This wasn't a good future for her to be in. Even if he was stronger and wiser than he had been, and now a few years older than her, and felt like he could protect her much better, he knew this wasn't where she was supposed to be.
  • Author
"I know," Light responded softly. "I just hope things don't get too dangerous." If she died here, then everything would be ruined. She wouldn't be able to go back to the past, a past where Warp has already been defeated and he won't be a threat to anyone. All hope would be lost if she perished here.
"...I can't make any promises," Riku said softly, and a little bitterly. He hoped things weren't too bad either, but with Warp, it would probably be the worst. They had to at least prepare for it.
  • Author
"I didn't expect you to," Light assured Riku, lifting her gaze and looking up at him. He couldn't keep this situation from getting messy; these were rough circumstances that they'd have to survive. But they would be victorious; she wouldn't accept defeat.
Riku felt Light's gaze on him, and he lowered his head to meet it. He nodded a little, but didn't know what else to say. He may have known where he was going and what state the worlds were in now, but he couldn't make sure nobody died.

"We'll need a new plan," Lightning stated without lowering her gaze from Riku's. Their plan to draw out the lackeys worked, but they couldn't try that again. Darren and Rena would be smart enough to know that it was a trap. But they needed to interrogate them somehow to figure out where Warp was...
