A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

"I know, but for now, can we just..." Riku trailed off. He didn't want to think about Warp or anyone else. He may have been twenty-three, but all he wanted was to be with her. Just him and Light, like it used to be.

Light smiled weakly, nodding in the same manner. They could just be together for a while, but she'd secretly be thinking about their next move. Well, unless she and Riku sat down and she was still in his arms. Then she would definitely fall asleep on him.

Riku smiled a little as well, but he still spoke. "Sorry," he said weakly. "I know how serious you are about taking out Warp and getting back." Maybe they did need to focus, but... "It's just...I've been by myself for so long..."

Light's smile turned sad at Riku's last comment, and she took back one of her arms to sit on his cheek. "I know," she assured him softly. She knew he needed some time, and maybe a little something more. She tilted her head up a little and gently connected her lips with Riku's in a kiss, her eyes shutting at that moment.

Riku's eyes fell closed instantly, his heart skipping. It hadn't done that in the longest time because of such an affectionate touch. He hadn't kissed anyone, in five years. Lightning had been the last he kissed.

Light's hand eventually moved back so her fingers were in Riku's shorter hair, her touch gentle and her kiss the same. Riku helped her so much, in the past and present. Giving him a little more time to be at peace was the least that she could do for him.

Riku didn't realize how much he missed this kind of thing until Lightning reminded him. His hands found her waist as he pressed his lips more against hers, savoring and craving this kiss.

Light found herself smiling weakly at Riku's urgency, and her free hand found its way to his shoulder when he set his hands on her waist. After a few moments, she had to pull back from the kiss for air, though her face stayed a few inches in front of Riku's.

Riku took in a needed breath, his eyes staying closed as he kept his hold on Lightning's waist. "Sorry," he said breathlessly, apologizing for how much pressure he had put in the kiss, and the urgency. He just...missed her. So much.

"No need to apologize," Light assured Riku softly, opening her eyes to see him even if he wasn't looking back at her. She felt...bad. He was this way because she went after Warp and accidentally was dragged into his vortex. She couldn't imagine how much Riku suffered because of that.

"I just..." Riku started, though he trailed off a few seconds after. But then he leaned forward, placing another kiss on her lips before pulling back. "...I just...missed you." He hadn't seen her or heard from her in five years. Five. That was too long.

"Sorry," Light said quietly, able to tell how lonely he was. He hadn't been this emotional in front of her yet, and she ignored it until now. She should have been more considerate and kissed him sooner. Shown him more affection. Something.

"It's not your fault," Riku said, finally opening his aqua eyes to look at Lightning. "...It was an accident." She had just been going after Warp that day. Getting pulled into another time hadn't been part of the plan.

"But because of it, you..." Light looked up at Riku's eyes, trailing off. He had to face so many things alone, and spend his life apart from his friends. He was hurting because of something she could have prevented in the past.

"Don't," Riku said, shaking his head a little, but not enough to force Lightning's hand away. He wanted her to touch him still, since he'd missed it. But he didn't want her to blame herself. It was an accident. "This is fate."

"If it was fate that I was sent here, does that mean I'm meant to stay here?" Lightning asked softly, diverting her gaze and lowering her hand to Riku's shoulder in thought. She was confused about what the right thing to do was.

Riku shrugged slightly. "I'm not sure, but either way, you're in my life," he said softly. "That matters most to me." He may have gone five years without her, but she was here now. That was what mattered.

"Right now I am," Light said softly, lifting her gaze back up to Riku. "But...Who says we'll survive this ordeal with Warp?" He was a dangerous enemy, and he was especially out to get her because she had his watch. She never did tell Riku about that, did she?

Riku lifted a hand to cup Light's cheek. "We might not survive," he said softly, staring into her eyes. "But you will." She had to, in order to set things right again.

Light's eyes widened at the words, and she pushed herself away from Riku a little as she took her hands back. "No," she said. She wouldn't consider the possibility of being the only person to survive. Riku couldn't...

Riku blinked at the sudden movement, his hands instantly falling back to his sides. "Light," he tried. She had to accept the reality of the situation. He just said he would die to protect her, and there could be a case where he had to in order for her to go back in the past.

Light turned to the side, furrowing her eyebrows as her eyes became moist. "Don't go there," she ordered. He wasn't turning this discussion like that. Just the thought of losing him...It hurt so badly. Didn't he know he was the one who gave her hope, and a reason to fight?

"...I said I would die protecting you, and I meant it," Riku said, a serious expression falling over his features. He wouldn't let her fail at her mission. Her fate, as of now, was to live and go back to the past and prevent this future from ever occurring.

"Say one more word about it and I'm walking away," Lightning said without looking, glaring down at the ground with moist eyes. She meant what she said, just like she knew Riku meant what he said. And she couldn't stand hearing him talk like that. But something told her he wouldn't drop the subject so easily.

"Lightning," Riku said, his tone firm with seriousness. She couldn't avoid it. It was realistic and had the possibility of happening. A high possibility. Riku would die to protect her, and he wouldn't think twice about it.
