Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Light blinked when Riku grasped her wrist after sitting down on her bed, and she peaked her eyes open to see what he was doing. Her eyes danced from the hand he held onto and then to the wet rag in the other before she looked to her hand again. It was still bloody...He wanted her to wash off, didn't he?
Riku kept his eyes down on Light's hand as he started to gently wipe the blood off. He didn't like the sight of something that was supposed to stay inside her body all over her body.

Light lifted her gaze to Riku's face when he wiped off the blood, though he wasn't looking at her. She was a little...stunned. Riku changed his emotions completely from a little while ago, when he had been angry and interrogating Rena. Now he was silent, gentle. Looking at his outward appearance, it didn't seem likely he'd have such a side. But he did, and Light had the privilege of seeing it.
Riku felt Light's gaze on him, and he briefly lifted his eyes to match it before looking down at her hand again. He wiped carefully at her bloody hand, seeing that it was nearly clean now.

What did you go through in the past five years, Riku? Lightning silently wondered, keeping her gaze on Riku's face. What made you turn out this way? Of course, she wasn't thinking of it negatively; she liked Riku this way. He was mature, wise, gentle...But he was the same in the past, too. He always was extraordinary in her eyes.
Riku finished with Lightning's one hand, so he set it gently on her lap before reaching for the other. He grasped it and lifted it, turning it over so her palm was up and he could start cleaning it. He hated seeing her so hurt. When Rena had pulled that move and he witnessed Light's pain, he had been terrified. It nearly made him sick.

...If I was in his position, I probably would have stayed faithful too, Light thought, glancing down at the hand Riku was washing off. Five years apart, and yet he hadn't moved onto somebody else. She believed, like Riku had for himself, her feelings for Riku were stronger than she had ever felt for anybody else, and she wasn't sure even five years could make them fade. What she had with Riku really was special, wasn't it?
Riku forced himself not to think about it and just wipe any traces of blood and injury away. Lightning was too precious to him. Just the thought of her...dying, it killed him inside. He couldn't picture it, even though he lived it for the past five years. He'd really thought she was gone.

"Hey, Riku?" Light asked softly, another thought coming to her mind. Riku believed she was gone for at least four years, until Warp told him otherwise. She had a question concerning that, and she hoped Riku would answer it.
"Mm?" Riku hummed softly in reply. He kept his gaze on Light's hand, wiping the washcloth over her fingertips. He was curious as to what she wanted, but he would wait to hear it.

"...Could you tell me about the day Warp came, and he told you I was still alive?" Lightning requested softly, looking down at her hand. She was curious as to how Riku reacted to Warp then, and the situation in general that day. How did they meet? What was their conversation like?
Riku's eyebrows furrowed a little more, the twenty-three year old not answering right away. He remembered being in one world when the guy showed up, and how their confrontation went. "...I was in Twilight Town to check on the levels of Darkness," he began to explain. "I was near the station when Warp flew out of a hole in the wall. Even after four and a half years, I immediately recognized him." Riku finished wiping off Light's hand, but didn't look up. "There wasn't any reason for me to forget him." He took away Lightning, and caused disorder to the worlds with his time travel.

Light hummed softly, staying silent other than that. It made sense, and she immediately knew why Riku didn't forget Warp. It was because Lightning was taken away because of Warp.
"He didn't see me at first, but when he did, he immediately recognized the Keyblade," Riku continued, pulling the damp rag back from Light's hand. "I didn't have my armor on, but he still didn't recognize me; the last time he saw me, I had my face hidden anyway. But I was 'one of them'. That was enough to set him off." He remembered Warp's face, which looked the same as it had back on the Pride Lands. That wasn't too much of a surprise, since he was a master of time travel anyway.

Light nodded faintly, remaining silent. She remembered five years ago--or to her, just a few days ago-- when she, Riku, and the others were chasing Warp in the Pride Lands. Lightning was the only one with her face exposed.
Riku lifted his free hand to scratch his cheek, continuing. "He started yelling at me and swung his weapon at me, but it wasn't that hard to keep him at bay," he admitted then, glancing at Lightning. "Even after nearly five years, I was still angry with him for taking you away. It wasn't very surprising when he didn't show any sympathy."
  • Author
"Mm," Light hummed, lifting her gaze to Riku when she felt his eyes on her. It wasn't surprising to her, either; Warp seemed to be a very cruel man. But she hadn't even spent much time with him. It was hard to believe she had only seen her enemy two or three times after he caused so much trouble.
"...But then he said he went through a small squabble with you in the vortex," Riku said, keeping his eyes trained on Light's pale blue. "I didn't even know how to respond. That whole time...I'd thought you were dead." Warp had laughed at his face, since he was obviously amused by Riku's expression at that time.
  • Author
Light nodded ever so slightly, not finding any reason to speak. She heard this before, and every time she did, she felt bad. But she couldn't help what happened, not right now. As soon as she went back to the past, everything would be fine. But for now, she'd listen to Riku's story.
"He told me you would be following his example soon," Riku said, lowering his gaze after a small minute. "He said you would be leaving the vortex in a few more months. After that, he took off, but I was too shocked to go after him." He shrugged a little. "I couldn't find Sora or anyone to let them know I'd seen Warp, so I kept it to myself. For the next six months, I waited for you, taking down Warp's lackeys along the way."
  • Author
Light tilted her head slightly, confused about something. "So...nobody else knows about me being alive? Or Warp being out there?" That didn't make much sense, especially the second part. They had to know Warp was out there, since he was a threat. But if he was back, did they just assume Lightning was alive too?
Riku shook his head, running a hand through his hair. "Beats me," he admitted softly. "I haven't seen anyone in months, Light." He was sure Warp popped up where there was chaos, which was probably why he hadn't come to Lightning himself.
  • Author
Light diverted her gaze from Riku's, not knowing how to respond. He had been completely alone for months? He hadn't seen or talked to his friends in that long? Six months? That was...terrible.
Riku didn't know how to take Lightning's silence, so he looked down at her coat and started to wipe away at the blood. Losing himself in his thoughts, he went back the last few months, and what he'd done to keep himself busy. He destroyed Heartless and protected as many people as he could, but he'd only made one visit to Radiant Garden. That was to see Kairi and Namine, right before his run-in with Warp. After that, everything else had been done on his own.

Lightning grunted, squeezing her eyes shut and curling her hands into fists when Riku pressed against her wound. She realized he was trying to clean off her coat, and she appreciated it, but it still hurt. The pain distracted her from the emotions she felt at what Riku said a few moments ago.
