A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Riku rolled his eyes, sighing. "Lightning," he said. Was she really going to do this? She had to know he wouldn't give in; she just said he was stubborn. And he was.

Light remembered a trick she used on her parents when she was much younger, and she believed it was time to pull it out now. The puppy-dog eyes. She looked up at Riku behind her lashes, giving him a look. You won't do it, for me?

Riku blinked at the sight before him, his eyes widening slightly. "Are you serious?" he asked, not believing this. Lightning--Lightning, of all people--was giving him the puppy pout? Unbelievable!

Light didn't respond, only pushing out her lower lip slightly as she gazed at Riku. Yes, she was serious. She wanted to see Riku's expression, and she was sure her current expression would soften him up. And if that failed, she'd leave. That would get him to give in.

Riku could only gaze down at the girl before him, but then he lifted his hands to either side of her face. He chuckled a little before he leaned in, kissing that pouting lip. That expression was too cute for words.

Lightning was surprised at the kiss, but she found herself smiling weakly anyway. She shut her eyes and let her pout fade so she lightly kissed Riku as well, one of her hands moving to his arm.

Riku pulled back after a second, opening his eyes as he looked down at Lightning. He held her face in his hands still, the young man smiling lovingly in her direction. "Hard to believe a soldier could be so cute," he told her softly. She was beautiful, and always had been. Always would be.

Light found herself smiling shyly, her hand remaining on Riku's arm. "Hard to believe a Keyblade Master could be so gentle," she retorted softly. She had never expected to see this side of Riku when she first met him. She despised him when she met him. But that changed pretty quickly. It was amazing how far they came from that first meeting.

"Hm," Riku hummed softly, keeping his gaze on Light's face. Keyblade Master... That only reminded him of his duty, and what they had to do together. Their time together would be limited now.

Light lowered her head slightly without making Riku move his hands, her eyes shutting as a small smile remained on her lips. A small breeze came and gently blew her hair, this moment in general reassuring her that things would be alright.

Riku let one of his thumbs roam over Light's soft cheek, his eyes staying on her. She was very brave, and strong; she could handle herself. But still, he wanted to be her protector. Her shield. Sometimes, he believed that was his destiny.

Lightning kept her eyes shut, her smile fading away with time. She almost wished she could freeze time right here and now, because for a second, it felt as if nothing was wrong. But then it all came back. She jumped five years into the future. Riku was miserable. The worlds were in danger. She was not supposed to be happy right now.

And when he was older and stronger, Riku felt that it really was his destiny to protect Lightning. But how capable was he five years ago? Obviously not very. That was one of the main reasons he wanted Light to stay with him.

Light kept her eyes shut but moved both her hands, setting them on Riku's waist before she gently pulled herself closer and embraced him completely. She kept her face turned into him so he couldn't see her expression. He could be happy with the embrace and feel like everything was okay a little longer. She'd put on an act for his sake.

Riku's arms wrapped around Light's upper back, one hand cupping the back of her head. He looked down at her in silence, not saying anything. I don't want to let her go again, he thought sadly. But he would be with her, in the past. Right?

Light turned her face so it was against Riku's neck, a soft breath leaving her at his warmth. All this, I'm doing for you, she thought. And he wouldn't even realize she did anything, not until she told him. He wouldn't know about this hug, or the kisses she gave him in the future, or when or if she risked her life for him. He would have no idea about any of this, and yet she did it gladly.

There was no doubt in Riku's mind that he loved her. How couldn't he, after all they went through? After all the trials they faced together? Or the ones he faced alone, but went through thinking about her? Or vice versa? But the question was, did Light love him back?

Light opened her eyes, her eyelashes briefly tickling Riku's neck. She looked out a little and saw the castle, and that only reminded her of everything that Riku was doing for her too. He saved her life more than once since she got here, and poured his heart out more than once. He was more open than he was in the past.

Riku felt Light's eyelashes tickle his neck, and he closed his eyes, just holding her while she was so close. He wished he could stop time, right here, so he could stay this way with her forever. But, that wasn't possible, nor would it ever be. Lightning didn't belong here with him, not yet.

Light realized she was dancing around the truth. She was putting her thoughts into so many words, when all she needed to say was three words. She loved Riku. She really did.

Riku opened his eyes to stare at the vessel behind Lightning, his hand running down the length of her light hair. He didn't want to let her go, but this was her fate; she was the one who needed to change the future, and set things right. The way they were supposed to be. He couldn't be selfish with her.

Now wasn't the time to tell him, though. Lightning knew that they needed to focus on their goal. And even if she did tell Riku, he wouldn't remember it. But that could work well for her if Riku didn't return the feelings.

Riku squeezed Lightning gently before he finally loosened his hold on her. "...I can't be selfish with you," he whispered softly, looking down at her. "The worlds need you." Everyone needed her to turn back time and correct things. It was more important than just him.

Despite her previous thoughts, Lightning didn't want to let go of Riku and focus on the mission. "You can be selfish a little longer," she whispered softly in return. They could be together the rest of the day once the ship was finished, and maybe they could both be together when they rested. She didn't want to be apart from him.

Riku's eyes softened at the words, a smile of the same fashion appearing on his lips as well. He let his arms wind around Light once more, just holding her as a light breeze blew by, shifting his hair. But he closed his eyes, ignoring it. For now, this moment mattered.
