Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Light flew into the atmosphere maybe thirty seconds after Roxas, though she didn't see any sign of their enemy. She grunted, eyes widening as she looked over the vast area of Gran Pulse, the larger world where all of Cocoon's citizens lived after the world was practically destroyed. "Any sign of him!?" she asked Roxas.
Roxas grunted, angry with himself as he flew over the vast area of trees. "I lost him!" he said, his fury coming through his voice. How could he lose him? He was right behind him!

Light swore under her breath, flying her ship lower and landing it. "Keep searching the air," she said, getting out of her ship. "I'm searching the ground." She summoned Odin to her and climbed onto the horse, spurring him forward without a problem. They had to hurry...
"Got it," Roxas replied, hearing Riku and Aqua communicating with each other. He flew over the land, his blue eyes darting around for any sign of the teen they had been chasing.

Light looked around while on Odin, his sword within her grasp as she rode. She stayed silent for a few moments, focusing on the search. She didn't even know who they were after, until--"Found him!" she said after a few minutes, spurring her horse forward as she pursued the person she was after. Zane was the one sent, most likely because he could snipe his enemies out at a distance. But he wasn't going to get that chance as long as Light had a say in it.

"Locating your position," Roxas said in response, turning on his glider to head in Lightning's direction. He would find her and help her out. He just hoped he wouldn't be too late.

Zane didn't sense anyone nearby, crouched on top of a building as he aimed his gun at his victim. Hope. Such a terrible name for somebody that didn't have any left. "Hold still," he said softly, his finger on the trigger.

Lightning jumped off Odin when the area became too narrow to ride him through, the sword disappearing as well as she glanced from Zane to the person she was targeting. "Hope!" she screamed.

Zane wasn't at all affected by the call, knowing who it was. Enjoy the show, he thought cruelly, then firing off the gun. At the pull of the trigger, a bullet left the sniper and struck Hope in the chest, right in the heart. He watched the kid drop to the ground, aware that he would be dead within seconds.

"NO!" Light screamed in horror, seeing Hope fall. There was no doubt in her mind that he was already gone; that bullet went right into his heart. There was no surviving that. She skidded to a halt beside him, down on her knees as she lifted his torso and held him closer to her as her frantic eyes danced over his face. He was five years older than she last saw him...a handsome young man. And he was dead.
"Lightning?!" Roxas called into his headset, hearing the screams and the horror projected through her voice. He flew toward where she was, lowering his glider when he came to an area surrounded by buildings. A city, but the sight wasn't great. He saw Light down below, holding who must have been Hope.

Light subconsciously took the earpiece out of her ear, stricken by so much horror and grief she wanted to forget about anybody else involved in this. She lifted her hand again, which was trembling, to Hope's lifeless face. "Hope?" she said weakly. He was nineteen, just an adult. But she saw him as the youth that she grew to care for as if he was her little brother. This wasn't just the death of a good friend; Hope was a part of her family.

Roxas flew around the area slowly, looking down on Lightning from his position about a hundred feet in the sky. He grunted softly when he saw what obviously just happened, and he decided that everyone needed to join them. Tragedy just struck. "...Guys," he called into his headset. "We have a problem."

Riku was currently in the middle of taking down one of the thugs they had been chasing, the kid nearly dead. He fired a beam at his enemy's aircraft and watched it explode, knowing the kid was done for. Just as that happened, he heard Roxas's message. "What's going on?" he said, hovering in space now as Aqua finished up with her own enemy.

Light was unaware that Sora and Ven were listening in to Roxas's conversation, or that Terra finished up with his enemy as Riku responded to Roxas. She didn't know there even was a conversation going on, and she didn't care. She wrapped both arms around Hope tightly and pressed her face against his silky silver hair, which was the same length and style as it had been five years ago. She started to sob in remorse, her body trembling already with the cries and nerves and everything else she was feeling. She witnessed death before, but not like this. She never wanted to see the murder of her 'little brother'.

"Everyone needs to set their course for Cocoon," Roxas said, looking down at Lightning. "Right away. Something horrible just happened." Hope was dead, all because they lost sight of Zane, giving him the time and opportunity to shoot the poor nineteen year old.

Aqua finished up with her own thug, at the same time hearing what was going on. She nodded to Terra and Riku, signaling that she was ready to go. Roxas sounded...sad, and beaten. What happened?

"On our way," Sora said to Roxas, not asking questions. If Roxas didn't say it over the headset, then it wasn't something that they were meant to hear until they reached Cocoon.

Light lifted a hand and stroked Hope's hair, her face still hidden against it. She didn't think that this death was only temporary. She was acting as if this future was set in stone, obviously because of the horrifying death she just witnessed. She lost one of her best friends. It wasn't fair. She sucked in a breath, holding Hope tightly to her and forgetting about where Zane could have been. He got away, didn't he?

Roxas heard Sora's response, assuming Riku, Terra, and Aqua were on their way as well. Meanwhile, he lowered his glider to the ground, but he kept his distance. He took his helmet off and felt the wind brush against his hair and face, but he wasn't even paying attention. His blue eyes were soft with sorrow as he gazed at Light, seeing the way she held Hope. He meant a lot to her...and now he was gone.

Light hiccuped one sob, feeling as if no time was passing at all as she held onto hope. Time was frozen. There was no future or past that she could focus on, only the present. Hope was dead. One of the only people who saw her when she was the most messed up and accepted her anyway. The confident, happy, and intelligent boy she loved as a brother was gone.
Roxas's glider disappeared, the boy standing in front of it as he held his helmet in one hand, the other limply at his side. He heard Light's sorrow from where he stood a few yards away, but he didn't say anything. What could he say? This was his fault; if he hadn't lost sight of Zane, this wouldn't have happened.

Ven and Sora arrived a few minutes later, and upon hearing Roxas explain the situation, Lightning's brother went forward to comfort her. But she lifted a hand and shoved him away, only clinging to Hope. She didn't know how to handle the grief except for clinging to the person she lost...something she never had the chance to do when their parents were killed. Ven backed up and gave Lightning some space, sadly gazing at his big sister who was shattered by Hope's death.

Riku showed up only a few minutes after Sora and Ven, seeing how they gave Light some space. He ripped his helmet off his head and stared at her as she held Hope, his expression softening in sorrow. She was...crying. He hadn't heard her sob like this ever, and it broke his heart, on top of seeing the boy she held in her arms, who lost his life.

Aqua lifted her mask away from her face, willing it to disappear from her hand as well. Her armor, however, remained. Her ponytail swung with the wind, her blue eyes turning sad at the sight before her. That poor boy...

Ven stood in the back of the group, faced away from everyone. They may not have realized it, but he grew close to Hope when he was living in Cocoon too. He had to mourn the loss of his friend, though he wouldn't allow himself to cry in a place like this.
Riku summoned his helmet away, that way he wouldn't have to hold it anymore. He slowly approached Lightning, his steps quiet and even paced; he didn't want to startle her. He set a hand on her shoulder, standing slightly behind her. He could see Hope's face clearly from this proximity, and the blood seeping from his chest. He'd never met him, but Riku was sure that he was a great person; he looked like it, even if he was no longer alive.

Light was stiff under the hand that she recognized as Riku's, the girl not moving from her position with Hope. She kept her face hidden in the boy's hair and let herself be upset, though she wasn't sobbing anymore. She still believed she was faintly trembling, though, very on edge.
Riku knelt down beside Lightning on one knee, his hand gently squeezing her shoulder. He wasn't sure what else to do, or say. He'd heard about Hope and recognized back then how important he was to Lightning. And now he was gone, because of Warp.

Calm down, Lightning finally ordered herself, feeling Riku's stare on her. She needed to compose herself; blubbering like an idiot wasn't going to do her any good. But...Hope...was...She squeezed her eyes shut more tightly, feeling the emotions come back up.
