Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku walked in through the door to the Bailey, having just come from a walk in the deserted parts of Hollow Bastion. He stopped though, seeing his friends having a moment near the small window in the stone wall, which allowed a view of the old castle. He always ended up ruining those moments, so he leaned his back against the wall, eyes focusing on the ground. His friends deserved the small moment after everything.

Sora opened his eyes after a few moments, somehow feeling like he was missing something. He brought his head off Kairi's and looked around, seeing Riku leaning against a wall. When had he gotten there?
Kairi kept her head against Sora's shoulder, eyes closed as she relaxed. She had to admit that this wasn't the best place to do such a thing, considering they were sitting on a ledge. But she was comfortable, regardless.

Sora didn't make a sound, figuring Riku could see him and Kairi out of the corner of his eye. He lifted a hand and waved to him, letting him know he could come over and join them. Surely Kairi wouldn't mind, since she must have been missing Riku the past few days too.

Riku turned his head, having caught movement out of the corner of his eye. Upon seeing Sora's wave, he lifted a hand in a short one of his own. Without a word, he pushed himself off the wall and started over towards his best friends.

Kairi heard soft footsteps, and she opened her eyes instantly. Upon doing so, she saw Riku, and she lifted her head off Sora's shoulder. Where had he been?

"Hey," Sora greeted softly, noticing that Kairi was now aware of Riku's presence as well. Even if this broke the moment he and Kairi had been having, he was glad to see his best friend again.
Riku smiled faintly, nodding to his two friends in greeting. He left early this morning, without waking them. He had always been an early-riser, even if yesterday had been exhausting. He was actually curious as to how Sora was doing now that the battle was over.

Sora didn't bother taking his arm back from around Kairi, figuring that Riku was used to him and Kairi being in a relationship. "What's up?" he asked, wondering where his friend had been all morning.

Riku shrugged, his hands in his pockets. "Same old thing--nothing," he said honestly. He had just gone for a walk, since he didn't want to sit around the rental house. Apparently his friends had the same idea.

Kairi smiled faintly at Riku, knowing that there was a little humor in his answer. He always was pretty blunt, and she was glad to see that side of him hadn't changed after what happened yesterday.

"Hm," Sora said with a nod, not too surprised. There wasn't much to do around Hollow Bastion that he knew about; whenever they were here, they were always fighting battles.

Riku nodded as well, though he arched an eyebrow as he looked at Sora and Kairi. "Spending some quality time together, I see," he said, looking from his best friend to the girl he was dating. Of course, he was just picking on them...in a subtle way.

Kairi's smile grew, and she felt her cheeks grow a little warm. Regardless, she nodded. Yes, she and Sora were spending some time together after a few days apart.

  • Author
"Yup," Sora said, a slight smirk appearing on his lips. He wasn't going to deny it, because clearly that's what he and Kairi were doing. But who could blame them? This was their first time together in a while.
"Hmph," Riku grunted, smirking a little as well. "Glad to see you're not embarrassed by it anymore. I remember when your cheeks got red." He was talking to Sora, because obviously he wasn't going to tease Kairi for that; she would still blush occasionally. But Sora, he always tried to hide it, and of course Riku caught it.

Sora felt tempted to blush now that Riku pointed it out, but he tried to keep a straight face now. "Yeah..." he said sheepishly. He hadn't gotten embarrassed, really; it was more like he was shy.
Riku only shook his head and propped himself up on the ledge on the other side of Kairi. He wouldn't tease Sora anymore, not after what happened to him lately. He'd been through enough.
  • Author
Sora was surprised when Riku backed off, but he wasn't going to fight against that. It was strange, though, how Riku gave up an opportunity to tease him. That was unusual.

Kairi turned her head to look at her best friend, offering him a small smile. "I'm glad to see that you're okay, too," she told him softly. She had been worried about him as well yesterday, and for a while actually. Ever since he and Sora took off, she'd been worried sick.

Riku's eyes found Kairi and his smirk turned into a faint smile. "Thanks, Kairi," he said with a nod. He always knew she cared, but it was still good to hear.

  • Author
Sora looked down at his feet, silently agreeing with Kairi. He was really glad too; he would have been devastated if he lost his best friend to Xehanort or Vanitas. Riku was like his big brother.
Kairi nodded once. "Of course," she replied in a soft voice. Sora and Riku were her boys, and she shared a different relationship with both of them; Sora was the boy she loved with all her heart, but Riku was like family, like the big brother she never had. Of course she cared about both of them, and their safety.
  • Author
"Hey, Riku?" Sora said after a few moments of silence. He was surprised that he spoke, the words leaving him before he could stop himself. But he didn't have anything to say, did he?
"Mm?" Riku hummed, leaning forward and looking past Kairi to see Sora. What did he need to say? Well, Riku didn't have any idea, so he guessed he would just listen and find out.

Sora lifted his free hand, running his finger under his nose when he felt Riku's gaze on him. "Thanks," he finally said, looking over at his best friend. Riku had helped him out a lot lately, and Sora hadn't had the chance to thank him for it.
Riku nodded once, meeting Sora's eyes. Anytime, he thought, knowing that he wouldn't hesitate to help Sora out in any situation. They were best friends, always had been. He didn't think that was about to change.
  • Author
Sora turned his gaze away from Riku after a few moments, knowing that was probably all he would say about it now. Or ever, for that matter; he and Riku didn't talk about things unless they had to. And strangely, that worked well for them.
Riku leaned back when Sora looked away, lifting one leg up on the ledge he was sitting on. He rested his arm on his knee as he sat there, next to his two best friends. It was just like the Paopu tree back home, which meant a little more than just coincidence to him. Somehow, he knew that they would always be best friends, would always be together, no matter where they were.
