Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Sora shut his eyes in shame, his instincts making him want to walk away from the uncomfortable situation. But he deserved the beating, so he'd take it. "Your heart," he answered quietly.
Kairi nodded a little, even if Sora wasn't looking. She didn't need to say anything more, believing she got her point across. Her body could be wounded, because it would heal. But her heart... It would take longer.

"...Sorry," Sora said weakly, feeling like a fool. And that was what he was--a fool. An idiot, who tricked himself into putting his duty as a Keyblade wielder before his duty as a lover. Could he ever make up for what he did?
"People make mistakes," Kairi said softly. She knew Sora didn't mean to, but even so... It still hurt. She loved Sora with all she had, and she knew he loved her the same, if not more. But he hardly showed it sometimes, and it hurt.

"Tell me what I can do to fix my mistakes," Sora said quietly without moving. "I swear I'll do the best I can to set things right." He owed her, big time.
Kairi just gazed at the window for a long moment, not knowing how to give Sora a real answer to the request. All she could ask for, really, was his love. That was all she really wanted, even though she hoped their love would escalate even more, to where they really devoted themselves to one another. But she wouldn't request that of Sora. Not now.

"Kairi?" Sora asked softly after a few moments of silence. He knew she had something that she wanted him to do; their hearts were still connected after all these years. He just didn't know exactly what that desire was.
Kairi lowered her gaze to the light the sunlight presented on the floor, the light coming through the window. "...Love me," she said softly, her voice slightly weak. "That's all I want." She just wanted Sora to love her. It did hurt when he didn't show it, but she would get past that and see that he was just doing it for her own good. Kairi loved him, so she would see it that way. For him.

Sora opened his eyes, pulling his hand out of his pocket. He set it on her shoulder, this being the first touch he had with her in a month other than the hug he gave her as a greeting earlier. "I will," he promised. He'd love her--truly love her--until the day he died.
Kairi lifted her head, looking over at the person who said he would love her. She could tell by his voice that it was a promise, one she hoped he kept for eternity. Life without Sora was hard, as Kairi had learned while he was away. But with Sora gone permanently? That would be awful.

Sora looked Kairi right in the eye for the first time in a long time, eyes softer than they had been in forever. His true self was starting to come through, something that naturally happened with her. He was letting his guard down, and that was okay. He had to realize that.
Kairi lifted her hand from behind her back, setting it lightly on Sora's wrist near her shoulder. She felt her expression soften even more than it already was at the look in his eyes. Was her Sora finally coming back to her?

Sora kept his gaze on Kairi's, though he did feel his eyes soften further when she set her hand on his wrist. Such a simple touch, and yet it showed affection. Neither of them really showed affection to each other for a while, because...I lost myself, somewhere along the way, he thought, unaware that Kairi could hear those thoughts. Will you help me find myself again, Kai?
Kairi felt her eyes sting with unshed tears at the inner voice that reached her heart, the young woman smiling weakly. She nodded slightly to answer Sora's unspoken question. She couldn't stand back and let Sora fight this alone; she would help, if it was the last thing she did.

Sora blinked when Kairi nodded, and it took him a moment to realize what happened. "Well, it's been a while since that happened," he said with a slight smirk. When was the last time he accidentally transferred his thoughts to Kairi through his heart? It had been a while.
Kairi smiled a little more without thought, the action one she couldn't control. "Mm," she hummed softly, nodding a little once more. It had been a while, and she believed that was one of the first steps to Sora's recovery. Maybe that was why she was close to crying, or maybe it was this moment altogether.

Sora blinked when he noticed the moisture in Kairi's eyes. "...Kai..." he said softly, calling her by her old nickname without thought. She was bringing out the best in him now, without a doubt. She was bringing him back.
Kairi bowed her head slightly, smiling weakly. "Sorry," she apologized softly. She didn't want to cry, but she was really with Sora again. It was nice, and she missed it. A lot.

Sora looked away, lifting his free hand to go over his spiky hair. "Goof," he murmured. "You have nothing to apologize for." She could cry if she wanted to, but then Sora would as if he could be the one to wipe away her tears.
Kairi felt her smile widen, and she tightened her hold on Sora's wrist, his hand still on her shoulder. She didn't say anything, once again speechless. She wasn't sure if Sora caught on, but her tears were ones of happiness. Kairi felt close to him again, and that was very important to her.

Sora smiled weakly as he lowered his hand back down to his side, the other hand remaining on Kairi's shoulder. He looked up at the window in silence, not bothering to speak. Maybe he didn't need to say anything else right now.
Kairi felt the sudden urge to hug Sora, but she didn't move from her spot. She looked down at the ground, contemplating that move. It could be too soon, since they were really just talking to each other again, being themselves.

Things would work out alright. They had to. Once Warp was defeated, then Sora really could focus on giving Kairi more than he already was. He would try his best to love her and show her that love in everything he did.
Riku was currently on the bed with Lightning, his back against the headboard and his one arm around her as he looked down at her. He just finished telling her everyone's plan, and though it wasn't much, it meant they would have time to be together, like this. He was alright with that.
  • Author
Lightning sat beside Riku, the young woman lightly leaning into him as his arm was wrapped around her. She felt his gaze on her, but she was currently looking downwards. She didn't like this plan; it proved just how much power Warp had right now and how little they had. If Light could just speed up her recovery, then they could actually do something instead of wait and let Warp control everything.
