Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku kept his arm around Light's shoulders, his fingers slowly traveling over the open skin of her upper arm. "What're you thinking about?" he asked softly. They'd both been quiet since he got close to her, but he felt like she was really pondering something inside that head of hers.

"I don't like this plan," Light said softly without looking up. "It's like we're at his mercy..." Warp could do whatever he pleased with all of them just staying here doing nothing. She understood everyone was resting up for battle, too, but still, there had to have been something else they could have done. Something better.
Riku's eyebrows furrowed a little, and he looked down at the belts around his waist. "I know what you mean," he admitted softly. But they had no other choice. This was what they were doing for now; they would get Warp soon, when the time came.

...But, they're all depending on me, Light thought. So they couldn't do anything without her. This wasn't all about Warp; it was all about her. If she went back to her proper time after Warp was defeated, this future would vanish. Their lives would all be better. That was a huge deal, and it only backed up what she was thinking: They needed her.
Riku stayed silent, staring down at his lap. His fingers continued running over Light's arm, but he was lost in thought. He didn't want Light to force herself to recover faster than normal because they were all waiting; that wasn't healthy. But he already told her that, so it was ultimately Light's decision on what happened from here on out. After all, Riku and the others were just there to help her get on the right track. She was the one that had to drive everything home.

Light shut her eyes and leaned her head on Riku's shoulder, aware that he was rubbing her arm lightly. It was a nice feeling, and she just wanted to melt away at it for a little while. Perhaps she would do just that; it wasn't as if there was anything else she could do.
Riku turned his head toward Lightning, lowering his lips to her pink hair. He gave her a light kiss on her head before resting his chin atop her head. He was going to miss this when she left, if that was even possible. It didn't seem like it, but he was curious as to what would happen to all of them when she went back.

A question randomly popped into Light's mind, though, when she thought of the pooch she hadn't seen in a while. "How's Jasmine?" she asked softly. She was doing alright after taking that hit from Warp, wasn't she? Lightning hoped so.
Riku kept his position, though he frowned at the question. "Kairi healed her the best she could, so she's resting in across the hall," he said. There was a bed in there, so Riku took it upon himself to move her in there earlier.

Light nodded ever so slightly, not moving enough to really disrupt Riku. That was good. And she didn't care if she just appeared soft and showed compassion for an animal. Sometimes her ego got in the way of her showing her gentle side, but she did care about Jasmine's well being. If that made her a softy, then that was alright. She would gladly be a softy.
Riku closed his eyes, exhaling a soft breath as his chin rested on top of Lightning's head. Warp was going to pay for a lot of things; this future, taking Light, attempting to murder his parents, killing Hope, and hurting his loyal canine that had been with him every day. Riku wasn't going to go easy on him, that was for sure.

"...You've changed, Riku," Light said softly, opening her eyes and looking down at the bed. The Riku she was with in the past was never this affectionate, and he teased her more often then. It seemed to her like Riku got less shy, even if he hadn't been with her in five years and acting like this with somebody must have felt foreign to him.
Riku didn't open his eyes, though his eyebrows did furrow slightly. "What do you mean?" he asked softly. It'd been five years; he couldn't exactly remember how he acted back then. That felt like decades ago.

Light smiled weakly, though she wasn't sure why. "You're less shy than before, and more confident in general," she responded softly. The Riku in the past was confident in many situations, but he had his insecurities. It seemed like he got over a lot of that in the past five years.
"Mm," Riku hummed softly, letting his fingers glide over Lightning's smooth skin. He would take that as a good thing then, though he wondered when Lightning first noticed.

"And you weren't quite so affectionate five years ago," Light said softly, her weak smile remaining when Riku rubbed her arm. He did show her affection in the past, by kissing her and holding her, but small things like rubbing her arm...that was new. And she liked it.
"Hm," Riku hummed once more, a small smile gracing his face just then. "You'll have to remind me when you go back." He wouldn't neglect her, ever. Five years without her had been torture. He was sure eighteen year-old Riku would be able to imagine and immediately shape up.

"I'm not too worried about it," Light responded quietly, eyes shutting again. "You grew up well even with a dark future like this. You'll turn out fine this time around too." He might turn out differently when this future was changed, but Light hoped it was a good change. A change that involved happiness.
"Let's hope so," Riku said softly, his hand still running over Light's arm. It wasn't something he really thought about; he just did it. It was like second nature, and he was okay with that. He loved Light, after all. Stuff like this, even the smallest thing, was important.

Light hummed, keeping her position leaning against Riku. She couldn't ignore his fingers on her arm, not that she wanted to. She had faith that they would share this kind of moment again in the future--or the past. This time-travel stuff messed with her head sometimes.
But something as huge as telling her he loved her? Riku wasn't sure when to do that. It could have been now, because there was always that chance he wouldn't survive the fight against Warp and his goons. But, no matter what, Lightning had to pull through. She was their only hope.

Lightning turned towards Riku slightly, lifting an arm and wrapping it lightly over Riku's stomach. She just wanted to be with him. She didn't want to think about Warp, even if she felt guilty ignoring the problem for too long. There was nothing she could do but rest up anyway, so that was what she would do.
Riku lifted his other arm, setting his hand on top of Light's arm over his stomach. He looked down at her now, just taking in this moment. This would never happen again, and when she went back, it would have never happened at all. At least to him.

Light kept her eyes shut even when Riku held her more closely, and she felt his gaze on her. "What're you thinking?" she asked softly in curiosity. Even if she wasn't looking, she could tell the wheels were turning in his head.
Riku's eyebrows furrowed a little, and he lifted his hand that was rubbing over Lightning's arm before to her hair, running his fingers through it. "How, to me, this moment will never exist once you go back," he replied honestly, his voice soft in the quiet room. He would have no memory of this, ever.
