Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Sora looked forward at the wall, just thinking. He, Riku and Kairi...they were best friends, no matter what. Of course, Roxas and Namine were a part of the group as well, but they hadn't been there as long as the three of them had. They were an unbreakable trio.
Kairi felt herself smile as she stared down at her hands in her lap. She felt completely protected and safe, surrounded by these two boys. She guessed it was destiny, that she was with them. And she couldn't be happier about it.

Sora glanced over at Kairi, seeing her smile. That automatically made him do the same, and he lightly squeezed her shoulder. He was glad she was happy; he was too. And he had a feeling that Riku was comfortable as well.
Kairi turned her eyes up to Sora at the squeeze, her smile staying on her face at the look on his. They were all happy again, or at least content with how things were. She was glad for that, wanting nothing more than that and this peace for a while now.

Sora leaned forward a little bit, giving Kairi a kiss on the forehead before he pulled back. He smiled softly at her, content.

Kairi's smile only grew, the girl smiling up at the boy she loved with all her heart. She missed his affection ever since he set forth on this adventure, but she was glad she saw it now.

Riku felt a very faint smile tug at his lips when he caught what happened between Sora and Kairi out of the corner of his eye. He was happy for them, even if he teased Sora about liking Kairi in the past. They needed each other, and he was glad they had each other.

Sora glanced over at Riku without thought, seeing that he caught Sora's display of affection. Honestly, though, he didn't care. Riku didn't seem like he was in a teasing mood, so he wasn't worried about being mocked.
Riku's smile faded away with time, but he had a question on his mind. Homeward bound after this? He figured as much, since they were rested up for the most part. Terra, Aqua, and Ven were welcome to stay here, since there were houses available, but they could also come back to the islands. It didn't really matter. It was up to them.

A few days later...

Sora sat on the Paopu tree in Destiny Islands, the teen alone for the time being. Roxas and Namine were hanging out somewhere, and maybe Riku and Kairi were with them. And maybe Aqua, Terra, and Ven were with them. Honestly, he wasn't sure. He hadn't seen much of his close friends since they arrived home, and it was strange. Kairi and Riku were avoiding him, and when they saw him, they were both really awkward. What did he do?

Kairi stood on the dock on the mainlands, next to her boat but not in it, and not knowing whether to get in it. Sora was over at the play island, and if she went there, things were bound to be weird between them...and it was her fault. The last few days had been awkward between her and him, and she didn't like that it was caused by her nightmares...and who she saw when she looked at Sora. Vanitas.

Sora sighed, changing his position and laying on the tree like he used to do. He was so confused...He tried talking to Roxas and Namine to see if they knew if anything weird was going on with Kairi and Riku, but they didn't know what was wrong. Namine went over to Riku's to play with Jazzy and she tried talking to him then, but he only admitted that he was upset over something. Of course, he had also said that he would work it out by himself. Whatever he was upset over, it obviously involved Sora, since he was avoiding him.

Riku walked down the beach of the mainlands, prepared to go over to the island for the afternoon. But then he saw Kairi, who seemed like she was contemplating something. "Hey," he greeted.

Kairi turned at the voice, her eyes wide slightly in startlement. But when she saw Riku, she calmed herself. "Hi, Riku," she replied back. Was he planning to go to the Island?

"You're not sure whether to go over there, are you?" Riku asked, coming to a stop on the dock next to the redhead. He saw that crease in her forehead, which meant she was worried. But he was also aware of what was going on between her and Sora. It was kind of hard to miss, just like what was going on between him and Sora. Things were just a little weird right now.

Unfortunately, Sora had to assume that both Riku and Kairi were upset with him over the same thing. But why? He hadn't done anything...He had been thinking over it non-stop since this started, and he could see where he did anything wrong!

Kairi's arms came from behind her back at the assumption, looking at Riku with surprised eyes. "How did you know?" she asked, interested. Was she that obvious?

Riku smiled sadly. "It's not that hard to see, Kairi," he told her. "You're hesitating...and you got that look on your face that says you're stressed." He knew her better than she thought he did, and he was really observant lately. He noticed a lot, even the little things.

Kairi lowered her eyes to the ground, biting her lip. "I have a good reason to be," she whispered, instantly thinking to those horrible gold eyes she saw in her sleep. Or that she saw when she tried to gaze into the blue ones that she loved. It was so difficult...being around Sora now. And she hated it.

Sora stared up at the sky, his hands behind his head and his feet on the tree. It'll all blow over on its own, won't it? he wondered, though the thought somehow made him feel pessimistic. Somehow, he had a feeling that it wouldn't be that easy. He had to confront those two, whether he did it with them together or separately.

"Wanna talk about it?" Riku tilted his head to the side with the question. Kairi didn't really look okay, and whatever this "good reason" was, he was concerned. She looked...worn out, or something.

Kairi shook her head. "No, it's alright. Thanks though," she insisted, glancing back up at Riku. She smiled weakly at him before she decided it was time to just get in her boat and go, the girl lightly stepping down into it. She grabbed her oar and looked up at Riku. "See you over there?"

Riku nodded. "In a little while, yeah," he replied. He actually had a few things to think about, which he was going to do at the Island. But now that his friends were there...well, they didn't really stop him. He was just thinking he'd let Kairi go alone for now.

But...maybe Sora would just wait a few more days. Just to see if things worked themselves out on their own. Since it came out of nowhere, maybe it would disappear on its own as well...right?
It took a few minutes before Kairi got across the water and approached the dock, and she threw the rope attached to her boat up onto the wooden pier. She climbed the ladder up to it and then tied her boat securely, then turning around to see where Sora was. His boat was here...

Sora didn't notice the boat that came to the island, his eyes having been shut for the past few minutes. He really was over thinking...He needed to relax and just have faith that things would work out. He was starting to lose sleep over it, which was why he almost felt like he could fall asleep now.
Kairi sighed, not seeing him with her quick glance around the island. Regardless, she walked down the stairs of the dock and onto the sand, moving at a slower pace due to her exhaustion. Her nightmares had been leaving her sleep-deprived, and after a few days, it really started to add up.

Sora exhaled a soft breath, his eyes remaining shut. He might as well fall asleep; it wasn't like he was missing anything. He never was, since there was no action these days. Xehanort and Vanitas were defeated, and everything was peaceful again. He should have felt at peace, but he wasn't at all.
Kairi's eyes darted around when she was by the shack, but she forced herself to go inside. She jumped, though, when the door slammed shut behind her, startling her. Get a grip, Kairi, she told herself. She was far to jumpy these days.
  • Author
Sora thought he heard a door slam, and so he opened his eyes and looked in the direction of the shack. But he didn't notice anything unusual, so he returned to his previous position and shut his eyes.
Kairi marched up the steps in silence, hearing nothing but her footsteps until she reached the door. She pushed it open with a small creak and then let it fall shut quietly behind her. Her eyes briefly glanced up at the seagull circling one of the palm trees before her gaze fell to the ground, the girl starting across the bridge to the islet. Little did she know that the boy she had been avoiding was there, her lack of sleep causing a lack of observation.
  • Author
Sora's trained ears picked up on the sound of soft footsteps, and he opened his eyes and looked towards the bridge. In his surprise, he sat upright, seeing that Kairi was the one walking over. He hadn't seen her today yet, and he could tell that like the other days, she wasn't quite herself.
