A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Light hummed softly, also nodding faintly. She realized he would have no memory at all of what happened here, when she went back to him in the past. It'd be weird, and a little sad. She wanted him to know how wonderful he was in the future, and remember these moments and cherish them. She knew that was what she was doing.

"...Will you tell me everything?" Riku asked, referring to his younger self. He wanted Lightning to tell him everything about this future, and what his life was like without her, that way he wouldn't let her go.

Light smiled weakly, though it was a sad smile. "I don't know how I can convey moments like this to you," she responded softly. How was she supposed to tell Riku all that he did for her? What he meant to her? How could he fully grasp what his future self wanted him to understand?

Riku hummed softly, but didn't say anything more. That was...understandable. Explaining this kind of thing could be hard. He guessed his younger self would just have to create moments like this on his own, that way he would understand.

"...Maybe, you could write a letter to yourself," Lightning said softly. "You could convey your feelings to your past self better than I could." Riku knew himself best, after all.

Riku felt himself smile, and he nodded as he looked down at the young woman he loved. "You know, that actually sounds like a good idea," he said quietly. He would, whenever Light fell asleep. Of course, he had to think of what to say.

Light smirked slightly, eyes remaining closed. "You sound surprised I came up with a good idea," she joked. What did he mean it 'actually' sounded like a good idea?

Riku chuckled a little. "Don't take it that way," he told her softly, pulling her a little closer with his arm over her shoulders. "I just never thought writing a letter to myself could do the trick." He never thought of writing a letter to himself period. It was an interesting idea.

"Yeah yeah," Lightning said, waving off Riku's defense without actually moving. She knew he was being truthful, but if she had an excuse to tease him, she would take it. They needed a few lighter moments together.

"Hey, I'm serious," Riku said in his defense, a small smile on his face now. He wasn't putting Light down in any way. Actually, he couldn't imagine putting her down at all.

"Sure," Light said, keeping her eyes shut and fighting the smile that wanted to appear on her lips. Of course Riku was serious, but she wasn't. She was just messing with him, like she used to do.

"Heh," Riku laughed softly, leaning his head back against the headboard as he stared up at the ceiling. However, his hold around Lightning didn't loosen. Right now, he didn't want to let go.

A small smile found its way onto Light's expression, and she opened her eyes to look up at Riku, who wasn't looking at her anyway. She kept her gaze on him, not feeling weird about staring. She was actually getting used to seeing him like this, older and with shorter hair. "You mind if I tell your younger self to get a hair cut?" she asked, half-joking. She liked Riku with shorter hair.

Riku smirked a little, but kept his gaze on the ceiling. "Go for it," he encouraged Lightning softly. "That length was annoying anyway." It was hard to take care of, and his bangs always got in his eyes. That was why he cut his hair in the first place.

Light laughed softly, shaking her head faintly against Riku's shoulder. "When did you cut it, anyway?" she asked curiously. Was it a recent change, or did he do it a long time ago?

"Couple years ago," Riku answered as he stared up at the ceiling, able to see it clearly now that his bangs weren't in his eyes. "Things were changing, so I thought: Why not?" It helped him in battle, and it was just more comfortable.

"Mm," Lightning hummed with a small nod. She would just make that change occur sooner, then. But Riku sounded like he wouldn't mind, and she was glad for that. She got used to seeing his eyes more clearly; that was something she wanted to hold onto when she returned to her time.

"Must've been a good change," Riku added, lowering his head to look at the person in his arms. "It seems like you like it." He arched an eyebrow slightly, wondering if that was the truth. Of course, he would do anything for Lightning, even a haircut that he alone wouldn't mind.

"I do like it," Light responded with a small nod. "I can see your eyes now." And his eyes were nice to look at; she loved being able to read them and know what Riku was feeling. Eyes were a gateway to the soul.

Riku smiled. "And I can see," he pointed out. He remembered having to brush his hair out of his face all the time a few years ago. But he never got around to cutting it when he was in Darkness, which was why it was so long in the first place.

"And my hair is longer than my boyfriend's now," Light pointed out with a smirk. Five years ago, his hair had been a tad longer than hers. Not anymore.

"Exactly," Riku said with a nod, going along with what the girl he loved was saying. Now that she pointed it out, he really did need the hair cut. Hopefully she really did tell him to get it cut when she went back.

Light's smirk turned into a genuine smile, and she gently wrapped her arm over his stomach more tightly. She liked this. For just a few minutes, it was like Warp wasn't around and things were semi-normal.

Riku lifted his hand that had been on Light's arm on his stomach, bringing it up to cup the side of her head. He leaned down and gave her a gentle kiss on the forehead before then pulling back, a content smile forming on his face once more. He didn't want this moment to end, but it would have to, whenever Warp decided.

Light smiled, looking up at him as she kept her head on his shoulder. "I'm really fond of you," she said softly. She and Riku both used to say that to each other quite often, except for the "really" part. She just added that in.
