Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Thanks to Lightning's shield, Riku wasn't affected by the arrows and bullets Darren and Zane fired at him. He kept attacking Warp, dodging and dealing blows as his enemy did the same. He fought the emotions that rose within him by his friends' deaths, knowing he could mourn them later. For now, he had to defeat Warp.

Light recalled an enemy she faced in the past, one that would never die. And Riku had come up with a method for killing the witch. Light put her sword away and pulled out her knife, flipping it open before she looked back to Warp. That was it. "Riku, back!" she cried, her voice one he wouldn't dare disobey. She flicked her wrist and sent the knife flying right for Warp's heart.

Riku was blade to blade with Warp, but upon hearing Light's order, he pushed himself back, doing a flip backward and landing smoothly on his feet. He looked up at Warp just in time to see the blade pierce his heart, the enemy stumbling back.

Warp lifted his free hand to the knife in his chest, stumbling back until he fell into the throne in his castle. "You didn't!" he roared, though he winced shortly after, his glare set on Lightning. He could already feel his life leaving him, and along with his life, those of his soldiers would end as well.

I did, Lightning thought, breathing heavily from the battle as she stared at Warp. She didn't think about the lackeys, figuring they'd die along with him. This battle was over...Victory belonged to them.
Riku watched as Warp struggled to suck in air, and he only glared at him with silent fury, seeing the blood seep from his wound. In only seconds did the man die. When Riku heard a clattering noise behind him, he turned around, looking back to see Darren and Zane's weapons on the floor, their bodies the same.

Light glanced over to the side and saw all the soldiers fall, and she felt extremely relieved. It really was over. Warp was defeated, and now Light could go back and set things right. She fell down to her knees in relief, weakness, and pain, extremely grateful for the sacrifices of her friends. They weren't in vain.
Riku summoned his Keyblade away, turning his head to look at Lightning. He saw her on her knees and he approached her, kneeling down beside her. "...You did it," he said, breathless with exhaustion. She killed Warp, and saved them all from an awful future. His friends may have been gone, but with Warp dead, this future wouldn't be set in stone.

Light looked up at Riku, seeing he was just as breathless as she was. "We did it," she responded tiredly. And she wasn't just referring to the two of them. All of them completed the goal; she was just the one to deal the finishing blow.
Riku nodded slightly, then lifting his hands to take his helmet off his head; it was damaged anyway. "Yeah," he said softly. "We did it." He turned his head, glancing out at the remainder of the throne room. He saw his friends, and his eyes softened at the sight of their lifeless forms. But, they didn't die for nothing. They gave up their lives for an ultimate goal.

Light lifted a hand to Riku's shoulder, following his gaze. She saw four bodies over there, but she knew there were three more bodies outside. One of them belonged to her little brother. But he wasn't really dead. That was what she had to keep telling herself.
Riku lifted his hand to Light's hand on his shoulder, his gloved fingers resting on hers. "I know they're not really gone, but..." It still hurt to see them this way, dead. But all Riku had to do now was focus on fixing the watch, that way he could be with his friends again.

"I know," Light assured Riku softly, nodding as well. She knew what he was feeling. "...Let's just get the materials we need and get to work." They had to figure out how to send her back.
"Mm," Riku hummed, squeezing Light's hand briefly before he stood up, keeping her hand in his so he could help her up as well. He was sure the stuff they needed wasn't in the throne room.

Light stood up with Riku's help, though she didn't put much strain on him. He was tired too. She gently slipped her hand out of his and went up to Warp, leaning forward and taking her knife back out of his chest.
Riku summoned his armor away, and started toward a nearby door. He didn't look at any of the bodies, not wanting to see the sickening sight. Instead, he opened the door and waited for Light, holding it for her so they could find the lab and get to work.

Light put her knife away and then walked over to Riku, nodding slightly to him as she passed through the door. This was going to be a challenge when they were tired, but they would figure it out. It was time Lightning returned home.
Riku closed the door behind him, seeing a lit hallway waiting on the other side. He started down it beside Light, looking for the lab. It was time that they fixed the watch and sent her home, that way this tragic future never occurred.

Lightning and Riku eventually found the lab and got to work, Riku reading information from books about how to program the watch to go back in time. Light worked on fixing the watch that was broken somewhere along the line based on the drawings in another book. It wasn't extremely easy when she was so tired, but she wouldn't complain. She always did hate whiners.
Riku gazed at Lightning for a moment, watching her work in silence. They'd been at this for hours, and he was beat, but they needed to get this done. Time was on their side now, but that didn't mean they wanted to waste it. Riku set his book down on the lab table, going around it so he could be closer to Light.

Light was so focused on the watch that she didn't notice Riku coming over to her. She used the tweezers to connect two wires in the watch, successfully doing that. This was taking a long time, but she wouldn't give up. She needed to get this done, to make Riku happy again.
Riku walked toward Light on her side of the table, but he stood behind her once he was close. He wrapped his arms around her stomach from behind, pressing his toned chest against her back and peeking over her shoulder to watch her work. After everything, he at least had her, and he was glad for that. He couldn't live without her.

Light blinked when Riku hugged her, no longer focusing on her work. She looked over her shoulder at him, her face right by his. "What're you doing?" she asked softly, speaking for the first time in a while. He was supposed to be doing research about how to use the watch. But of course, she didn't mind the hug.
Riku didn't smile, the thoughts running through his head not allowing him to do so. "...You're all I have left," he said softly. "Can I just hold you for a while?" He had been so scared during the fight for her safety after seeing all seven of his friends fall. But she was here with him, and Riku felt the need to hold the one he loved after such a tragic day.

Light nodded softly in seriousness, focusing back on the watch. She understood what Riku was feeling, because it was the same for her. She lost Ven and Hope; only Serah and Snow remained. But she wasn't going to go to them right now. Right now, she was going to fix the watch and set things right. For Riku.
Riku leaned the lower side of his jaw against Light's hair, but not too much, since she needed to focus. He watched her in silence, taking in the scent of her hair and the warmth she provided as he held her. But he stayed silent, that way he wouldn't distract her further.
