Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Jazz... Riku thought, his tone in his head even one of warning. It was late, and people were trying to sleep. If she kept barking like that, he would have to take her back home. He didn't exactly want to get up, though, comfortable where he was.

Lightning knelt down by the pooch, petting the dog who was excited to see her. She gently petted the dog's ears as she barked once in pleasure, though Light was silent. She saw now that Riku was on the beach as well, but she wouldn't bother him. She kept her gaze on Jasmine, silently praising the dog for the courage she saw in her when she was older. She attacked Warp and obeyed Riku's every order; this was a good dog.
Riku's eyebrows furrowed at the next bark, but he fought the urge to say anything. If she kept it up, then he would have to take her back home, and he wouldn't exactly be happy about that. Usually when he took her out, Jasmine was a good dog and didn't misbehave. But what was causing that now?

Jasmine suddenly got anxious, looking to see her master not acknowledging Lightning's presence. The dog turned and ran back to Riku, stepping on his chest when she was right by him as if to say: Hey! Open your eyes!
Riku grunted at the pressure put against his chest, his eyes opening. "Jazz, get off," he ordered with a small groan. What was she doing? He lifted his hand and pushed her away, but gently. He could never truly be angry with her.

Light muffled a laugh at Riku's groan, and how persistent the dog was. Jazz didn't leave him alone; she only ran over to the other side of Riku's chest and stepped on him again, the dog leaning down and giving Riku a big wet kiss on the face.
Riku lifted his head a little to look at Jasmine, but squeezed one eye shut when she licked his face. "Jazz," he said, lifting his hand to her leg that was on his chest, moving it. "C'mon, knock it off." She never did this unless there was something going on, but the place was silent; only the waves were what he heard. So what was the big deal?

Light chuckled softly at Riku's reaction, the girl forgetting to muffle the noise so he didn't hear it. This was amusing, but it was about time that he woke up and saw that he and Jasmine weren't alone.
Riku turned his head at the laughter, Jasmine still licking his face. But he sat up at the sight of the girl he cared for, his dog finally backing off. "Lightning," he said in surprise, not expecting to see her here. It was late... What was she doing out of bed?

Lightning heard Riku's surprised tone, but she first payed attention to the dog that ran back over to her. "Good girl," she cooed to the pet, on one knee as she rubbed the dog's ear. She finally got Riku's attention.
Riku arched an eyebrow, his eyes going to Jasmine and then to Light. "Wait...you planned that?" he asked in confusion. It would make sense, but still...

"Nope," Light said, keeping her focus on the dog. "Jasmine thought of it all by herself. I just had the pleasure of watching from the sidelines." She smirked slightly, admiring the dog in front of her. She was hyper and crazy now, but in the future, she was old and mellow. But she was always loyal to her master. She never realized just how much until now.
"Hmph," Riku grunted, a smirk appearing on his face. "Well played." He looked from Lightning to his loyal companion, seeing that she was loving the attention she was getting. She would do anything to get it, which was pretty evident now.

"Hm," Light hummed with a small smirk, seeing the dog plop down on her side in front of her. Another picture of Jasmine entered Light's mind, the girl able to imagine the wound that Warp gave to her. She lifted a finger and gently traced over the dog's one shoulder without much thought, eyes softer than they had been before.
Riku lifted his gaze back to Lightning, the girl too far away for him to properly read her expression, and it was too dark. His smirk slowly faded as he thought about the future she told them about earlier, wondering what he was like, and how he interacted with Light. Were things still like this, or different?

Light leaned down towards Jasmine, her hand still. "You're a good girl," she whispered, giving the dog a light kiss on her head. She didn't care if she looked soft; Riku was bound to see this side of her eventually. And she had enough worries right now, enough to keep her from wearing a mask around many people.
Riku's eyebrows furrowed softly at the gesture toward his pet, not knowing what to think of it. What happened to the strong, stoic Lightning he'd come to know? What changed?
  • Author
Lightning could practically feel the confusion off Riku's stare, which was why she felt shy about looking over. She sat back on her knees and lightly petted the dog's stomach, glad Jasmine could distract her. She didn't know what to say to Riku after everything that happened with her...and him. He had no clue about all the things his future self believed about his relationship with her. Was that in the letter she was meant to pass on?
"Lightning," Riku said without thought, his eyes still on her. What was going on? Was he missing something? She...was keeping her distance, and was softer than usual. It made him wonder what exactly happened five years into the future.

"Yeah?" Light asked, setting her hand on the dog's stomach as she looked over at Riku. His tone expressed some confusion too, not that she should have been surprised. She left a lot of personal details out of the story, about herself and about Riku. How was she supposed to convey the message that his future self told her? He wanted Riku to propose, as soon as possible. That was a big deal.
"...What's going on?" Riku asked after a second, his eyes on Light's face. She was different, and he wasn't sure what to make out of it. Would she talk to him, or would he have to find it out himself?
  • Author
Light smiled weakly, not taking her gaze off Riku. "I'm just reflecting on everything that happened," she said softly. Reflecting and questioning a lot. The future Riku...What did he write in that letter? Once she passed it onto her boyfriend, would he share its contents with her?
Riku tilted his head, his eyebrow still lifted. "Like?" he encouraged softly, his voice no louder than the waves. What was she thinking about, specifically?
  • Author
Light set a hand on the ground, pushing herself up and starting over towards Riku. "A few conversations I had with your future self," she explained softly, her eyes trained on his face. "There were some things he wanted me to tell you."
Riku's eyebrows lowered at that, furrowing. Him? What'd he say? Was it something important? Riku guessed it had to be, if he told Light to tell him. It obviously wasn't something he was to find out somewhere along the line.
