A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Light shrugged faintly, looking up at Riku. "She can manipulate you pretty easily and get you to give into anything with those big brown eyes." She smiled faintly, though it wasn't because of what she said. She just recalled when she gave Riku a puppy-dog expression in the future. It was a shame he didn't remember that.

Riku smiled slightly, and a tad bit sheepishly as he gazed down at the dog leaning against him. Lightning was right, he had to admit. Jasmine was too adorable sometimes, and made Riku's softer side come out more often. "Maybe that's why she's so spoiled," he said.

"Could be," Lightning responded, her small smile staying on her lips. When she told Riku all the details of the story, he would probably insist on seeing her redo the puppy-dog face. But she wouldn't, because in the future, he refused to repeat a certain facial expression for her. She had wanted to see what expression he wore when he first saw her after five years, but he refused to show her.

Riku didn't know what to say in response, so he kept his mouth shut, his gaze resting on his dog. Her head was on his lap now, the dog getting comfortable. As much as he adored this dog, he wanted Light to be the one that was close, for obvious reasons.

Light's soft eyes were down on the dog who looked like she was falling asleep, and at that sight, she actually felt tired herself. She was only used to taking naps, so she had a hard time sleeping longer than a few hours earlier. That was what made her want to go to the beach, and be at the place where she could calm down. She hadn't expected to see Riku or Jazz there.

Riku thought to what Light said about Jasmine earlier, about how she'd been the only one with him. He must have been so lonely, and a downer. But, what about Light? When she was with him, did she ever get sick of him? Or the situation involving Warp in general? "...Were you miserable?" he asked, his smirk gone now as the serious question left his lips.

Lightning blinked at the question, looking up at Riku and seeing his expression. But she didn't understand the question. "What do you mean?" she asked, subconsciously tilting her head a little as she gazed at her boyfriend.

"In the future," Riku clarified, his voice soft as he ran his thumb over Jazz's head. "Were you unhappy?" With me? He didn't add that last bit, figuring it wasn't as important as the rest. He was curious.

Light shifted her gaze to the dog, not quite sure how to respond. "I can't generalize whether I was happy or not," she said softly. "A lot happened, and each thing brought up different emotions. ...But I was happy when I was with you." And she meant that.

"I wasn't a downer all the time?" Riku asked, his eyes on Light now. He figured with a future that was so lonely and depressing, he would be, even if he could handle being alone for long periods of time.

Light shook her head softly. "You were hardly a downer at all," she responded, voice still soft. "You were pretty optimistic when it came to sending me back and setting things right." But he was lonely, and he brought up how he would die for her several times. The latter bugged her a lot.

"Mm," Riku hummed softly, glancing away as he pondered that. He guessed he could believe that. Light's safety mattered to him now, and he was sure that hadn't changed in the future.

Light nodded faintly, not knowing how else to respond. All her memories with Riku were coming back to her now, how he often stared at her, held her, protected her...He did everything. He was incredible.

Riku wasn't sure what to say, so he stayed quiet, staring down at Jazz as she slept on his lap. Was he a better person in the future than he was now, especially to Lightning? If he was, he needed to make that person real to her again. She was his light...right?

"...Do you mind if I asked what the letter said?" Lightning asked randomly, voice soft. She was curious. But if he didn't want to share, that was okay too. She'd survive either way.

Riku smiled a little, his eyes closing briefly as he thought to that letter. "...Would you rather read it?" he asked. It was hard to explain, all of what was written on that piece of paper. Maybe it would be easy for her to understand if she read it herself.

"Um...Sure?" Light said, her voice expressing question. Why couldn't he just explain it to her? Was it that complex?

Riku opened his eyes and lifted his hips a little so he could reach into his back pocket, but Jasmine didn't like that. She growled slightly and the boy froze, knowing better than to move.

Light smiled weakly, seeing the dog get upset with Riku. "Never mind," she whispered, shaking her head a little. She could look at it some other time, when Jasmine wasn't an issue.

"Uh..." Riku stuttered softly, looking down at Jasmine with slightly widened eyes before glancing at Lightning. "I guess I could just tell you, if you're that interested." He wondered why she was interested, but maybe he could figure it out once she heard the story.

Light shrugged softly, lifting her eyes to Riku again. "It's not that important," she assured him softly. "I'm sure you have a lot more questions about the future than I do about that letter."

Riku lifted an eyebrow, setting his arm on the back of the couch again. It wasn't that important? Then why did Lightning ask? He didn't get it.

"Go ahead, ask me whatever you want," Lightning said, motioning a hand to Riku. She just hoped he didn't ask her how many times she nearly died, because it was too many for her to calculate off the top of her head.

"Okay..." Riku said, lowering his gaze as he tried to think of something. After a small minute, he did. "Where were the others?" he asked softly, looking back at Lightning. "While I was by myself, what were they doing?"

Lightning turned slightly so she was leaning against the corner of the couch, her gaze going to the wall as she remembered what Riku told her. "Terra and Aqua were protecting the worlds from Darkness; Ven was in Cocoon watching over Serah; And Sora and Roxas were protecting Namine and the Princesses of Heart."
