Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku's eyebrows furrowed at that. "We really were separated..." he said without thought. That was...sad. But what happened to the islands? Why were they all in different places?

Light nodded faintly. "You were," she confirmed softly. And they didn't see each other often, from what she gathered. It was sad.
"...What happened?" Riku asked, tilting his head a little as he looked at the young woman on the other side of the couch. Why were they apart in the first place? On different missions?

"I'm not sure exactly," Light said honestly, faintly shaking her head and looking over at Riku. "But...You probably all were forced out of the Islands at the same time. The world was deserted when I got there." Because it was frozen solid.
Riku hummed a little, though he looked down at the ground. They had to evacuate the islands? But why? They always fought so hard to protect the worlds, especially this one. He couldn't imagine who or what caused them to leave.

"...It was frozen solid, Riku," Light informed him gently, looking from Jasmine to her boyfriend. When she arrived in the world, she landed in a pile of snow. And the ocean was frozen on the top layer, but there was some liquid still underneath that was left unfrozen. She would know.
Riku's eyebrows pulled together at that, but he didn't look up. Frozen? He didn't get it. How could someone freeze the Island? He knew it wasn't impossible; he'd seen too many things to believe in the word anymore. But still....frozen.

"The whole world, it was covered in snow and ice," Lightning said, shaking her head softly and looking down. "I never thought to ask your future self about it. ...I wasn't quite thinking straight." And there was a reason for that: Hypothermia. And then the shock of seeing him.
Riku nodded a little, humming again. Destiny Islands got all kinds of weather, but completely covered in snow and ice, and not a sign of life anywhere? That was awful. Riku lifted his hand from the back of the couch and ruffled his long hair, not knowing what to say in response. He was just...shocked. All because Lightning left through that portal, everything changed. It was like a butterfly effect.

Light turned her face forward, lowering her head slightly as well to hide her face from Riku. Apparently Riku wasn't thinking straight either; he wasn't asking her any questions after he heard what became of his world. In a way, she was glad; he wouldn't like knowing how close to death she came here. But she doubted he would neglect to ask why she wasn't thinking straight. It would just take him some time to grasp everything.
"You...left the Pride Lands, but ended up here," Riku said, getting past his shock and moving on. "I don't get it..." How did that work? Did the watch take her where she wanted to go? Or where she was supposed to be?

Light shook her head slightly, her hair still acting as a thin wall between her and Riku. "I don't understand either," she said softly. It was just how things turned out. She didn't question it.
Riku wasn't sure what to ask, which made the conversation come to a stand still. He turned his head and looked over at Light, not being able to see her face. By her voice, she seemed upset, and he was too. That future was terrible.

"...You came to Destiny Islands when I was in trouble, too," Light said, faintly shaking her head again. "I don't know how you found me there, either. I guess...you could have sensed the Darkness of the people that attacked me, or something." But then, how did Warp's lackeys find her in the first place? How did Warp know where she would turn up?
"That ability probably got stronger over the years," Riku assumed, his voice soft. "The amount of Darkness around could have had something to do with that." Given the information Light provided them with earlier, that was what he came up with.
  • Author
Again, Light found herself shaking her head. "Maybe, but that doesn't explain how Warp's lackeys found me in the first place. I'm so confused..." She normally understood things, but looking back, she was clueless about a lot.
"Well, you said Warp knew you were coming," Riku pointed out, remembering that bit of the story. "Maybe he was somehow keeping track of you..." Was it the watch? The one she stole?
  • Author
"Hm," Light hummed with a small nod. "Maybe." There was no way to know for sure now, and that didn't really matter. Warp was dead; he would no longer threaten any of them. She wouldn't be hunted again any time soon.
"You were strong...weren't you?" Riku asked. She traveled through time, got lost, and survived battling Warp's goons multiple times. And then had the energy to travel back to them. Lightning was brave.

Light shrugged softly, lifting up her feet to have them sit on the couch in front of her as she wrapped her arms around her legs. "I had to be." That was the only choice she had. But she wasn't strong all the time. Not even close.
Riku shook his head, disagreeing with that. "That's not what the letter said," he revealed gently. It said the opposite, really. The older Riku said she had a goal in mind, other than just saving the worlds.
  • Author
Light blinked, finally looking over at Riku when she was confused. "What?" she asked. The letter said that she wasn't strong? She faced all the battles without any question! What did Riku say that made this Riku think she wasn't strong?
"The older me," Riku started with a weak smile, "he said that you didn't have to be strong. You just were, and not just because you had to save the worlds." He moved a little to face her, but that didn't sit well with Jasmine. She moved in her sleep before pushing herself up and shaking her head, then hopping off the couch to go settle on the carpet in the room. Riku didn't mind the movement, since it gave him some freedom to adjust.
  • Author
Light arched a brow at Riku, not sure how to respond. That wasn't quite how she saw it; she did have to be strong, for her own sake. Traveling five years into the future made a person want to lose their sanity sometimes. Everything was so different and unnerving. But what was Riku getting at? She hadn't even thought too much about saving the worlds.
Riku moved closed to Lightning, simultaneously reaching into his pocket and pulling out the letter. He sat next to her and held the envelope in his hands, before he then looked to her. "I guess in the future I can read you more easily," he pointed out.
