Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku wasn't sure what to say, though he kept his gaze on his hand over Light's gloved one. She was strong... Stronger than any woman he knew. But she had her insecurities, just like this one, right here. Maybe that was why he was there, to help back her up. That was at least what Riku wanted to believe.

"So, what's going on in your head?" Light asked quietly after a few moments. She said she had a lot on her mind, but Riku must have had some thoughts too. What was going on with him?
Riku's eyebrows furrowed a little more at the question, the boy turning his head to look at the girl he was close to. "I'm just thinking that we all have insecurities," he said softly. "Nobody's invincible." The Darkness taught him that, the hard way.

Light only hummed softly, glancing at Riku before she looked to her hand under his again. She didn't like admitting it, but she did have some major insecurities. Mostly about herself, because she had faith her friends would turn out to be great people and accomplish great things. She wasn't so sure about herself.
Riku let his eyes continue to rest on Lightning, taking in every detail he could. "...You look tired," he said softly. Worn out, exhausted, sad... She was a few things, but Riku figured sleep could help with a majority of them.

Light blinked at the random comment, though she wasn't surprised. "I am tired," she responded softly. "I haven't gotten a full night of sleep in two weeks." And she couldn't really change that habit quickly; she was used to naps now. It would take a few days to get out of that system.
Riku squeezed Light's hand briefly before pulling back. "Let me take you home," he said softly. It was the least he could do.

Lightning shook her head softly. "I couldn't sleep well earlier; that's why I went for a walk." She didn't know how she could coax herself to go to sleep and stay that way, even if she was exhausted. Unless Riku had an idea?
"Oh," Riku said, looking down at the small space between them. He was hoping she would be able to sleep, but apparently that wasn't the case.

Light nodded softly, remembering back to the future. The first time she fell asleep there, she had been exhausted and weak from hypothermia. But Riku had sat on the bed beside her and coaxed her to sleep, both because of his presence and because she felt him stroke her face briefly. It had been...nice.
"Maybe if you lay down, you'll be able to relax." And if Lightning relaxed, she would be able to fall asleep. Riku would be happy to see that; after all her hard work, she deserved some rest.

Light shrugged softly, looking to Riku's face. "Worth a shot." She wouldn't mind laying down, especially after her last thoughts. As long as she was with Riku, she was comfortable.
Riku nodded a little and picked up the letter on the couch, standing up so he could put it in his pocket again. But before he sat back down, he had a question. "Couch or bed?" he asked, looking at Lightning. They still had that spare bedroom that she stayed in for a while. If she wanted to crash there, she could.

"Couch is fine," Light said quietly, looking up at Riku and setting her hand in her lap once he released it. As long as he was with her, which she hoped he would be, she was fine here.
Riku nodded and turned, stepping over so there was more room on the couch. He sat down on the other side, that way Lightning had a majority of it to herself. He set his arms on the back of the couch and the armrest, looking over to the person he loved. She could get comfortable when she was ready.

Light smiled softly, glad Riku was staying. She laid herself down quietly and lightly sat her head on his leg, the girl laying on her side and facing forward to see the rest of the room. She was more comfortable already.
Riku lowered his hand from the back of the couch when Lightning rested against his lap, letting his fingertips glide over her cheek as he got the hair out of her face. He hoped this was okay.

Light shut her eyes at the soft touch, this feeling the same exact thing she experienced in the future. Except that her head wasn't in Riku's lap then; she was closer to him now than she was then. If he cupped her face like he did in the future, she would be a little weirded out...but in a semi-good way.
Riku tucked Light's hair gently behind her ear, but he didn't stop there. He allowed his fingers to go through her hair as she lay down, feeling how soft it was. It hadn't been that long since he'd been close to her like this, but it was different now. They said they loved each other, and that made everything stronger and more important. At least to him.

Lightning exhaled quietly, Riku's fingers gently traveling through her hair. She felt her posture relaxing slightly, the girl just wanting to melt away at Riku's touch like she did in the future. She felt safe with him...That was why she couldn't sleep before when she was away from him. And that was why she was dozing off now.
Riku kept his eyes on Lightning in the silence, just gazing at her as she rested. He ran his hand through her hair a few times more before he moved it to her arm closest to him. His fingertips glided over her skin, feeling how soft it was.

Light heard Jasmine snore softly in her sleep, the noise reminding her of something she said to Riku earlier, about how Jazz had him wrapped around her finger. And now...she was thinking she was the same way. She could get Riku to do practically anything, couldn't she? Even if it was just showing a more affectionate, personal side. From what she understood, nobody ever saw that before.
Riku let his hand continue to move along Light's arm, just gazing at her in the dim room. It was late, and he was tired, but he would wait until Light was sleeping to worry about himself. She was more important than him.

Light's breathing became lower and more even as the minutes passed on, Riku's stroking like a silent lullaby. She wasn't asleep, not yet. And she didn't quite understand why. Maybe not even Riku's presence could solve her sleeping problem.
Riku lost himself to his thoughts as time passed by, and when Lightning's breathing was even, he believed her to be asleep. That was enough for him to suddenly start talking. "Never thought I'd be doing this," he muttered softly, his hand still gliding over Lightning's arm.
