Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Lightning heard the muttered words break through the tired daze she was in, though she didn't bother reacting to it. By "this", she assumed Riku meant stroking her arm. Or did he mean something bigger? And was "this" a good thing?
"Sora would laugh at me for being so soft," Riku continued, leaning against his fist with the other arm as his other continued stroking Light's skin. "...But I think that insecurity's gone now. I don't think even that could keep me from showing how much I love you."

Awww, Light couldn't help but think, though she didn't react to what Riku was saying. She really could make his insecurities go away like that? She didn't know she impacted him that much...Or maybe she did. Five years away showed her and Riku how important she was, at least to him.
Riku lifted his hand back to Light's hair, gently running his fingers through it. "I was cocky a few years ago, but the Darkness obviously wasn't the only thing that changed that," he continued quietly. "You did when you showed up. I couldn't stand you at first, and you couldn't stand me either, which is why this is so unexpected, at least for me." He never thought he would fall in love...ever.

I know, Light thought, nearly getting chills at Riku playing with her hair again. She mentally laughed at how he implied he wasn't cocky now, but the latter part of his speech made her more serious again. They absolutely hated each other...But they were forced to be allies when he discovered her dark secret and kept it for her. She never did understand why he did that.
"I know this is lame, since you're asleep and everything, but I think this is the only time I can really tell you the secret," Riku said softly, his hand still running through Lightning's hair. Ever since the Keyblade showed up, and he realized Kairi belonged with Sora, and he fell to Darkness, he'd been convinced. "...I never thought I would find somebody like you... Someone to love. I always thought I was destined to be alone."

Light was tempted to tell Riku what she was thinking: You're too incredible to be alone. You would have found somebody to love. But...In the five years she was gone, he hadn't found anybody he loved like he did her. Maybe she was the one destined to stay with him always, because she believed somebody as good as him had to have somebody with him. He deserved it.
"Maybe that's just a lingering part of the Darkness that I still hold, but...I was really convinced, until you showed up," Riku confessed quietly, that way he wouldn't wake the girl with him. "You're something else, Light, that's for sure." He'd never met anyone like her.

Yeah...something else, Light thought to herself, having a negative connotation with that phrase. She was odd in many ways--She was strong in her brokenness, secure in her insecurities, and perfect in her flaws. But most people only saw the strength, security, and the flawlessness she tried to convince people she had.
"You're stubborn and can take things too seriously sometimes, but I guess that's to be expected with a soldier," Riku said softly, his eyes gentle with the one he loved. "Regardless, you have a soft side too, one that I want to see a lot of in this new future you've created for us."
  • Author
The future I created for us, Light silently repeated to herself. That was what she did, wasn't it? It wasn't just for Riku...she wanted happiness too. It was about time that she had some genuine happiness in her life. No strings attached. She'd try not to ruin her chance of achieving that with Riku. He was the only person that got this close to her and was willing to get even closer.
Riku let his hand stroke Light's cheek, the boy still believing she was asleep. "You should smile more often too," he pointed out softly. "You're even more beautiful when you do." She had been so serious when he first met her, and when he saw her smile for the first time...It was amazing. That was when he saw the gentleness within her that she always kept guarded.

Oh no...Light thought, Riku's sweet compliment entering her ears. She was flattered, and feeling shy, which was why she believed she started feeling heat rising into her cheeks. She couldn't blush! Riku would feel embarrassed if he knew she was awake!
Riku's hand was still on Light's face, his fingers trailing gently over her cheek. It obstructed his view of the redness, something he didn't notice. But soon, if it stayed, he would feel the heat from it. Then his own cheeks would burn.

Distract yourself, Light ordered herself, focusing on something else. But what could she focus on other than Riku? She was stuck here, not knowing what to do. She willed the blush to start fading away, glad he hadn't seemed to notice it. Not yet.
Riku pulled his hand back, and he noticed the red on Light's cheeks immediately. He arched an eyebrow, wondering what that meant. Was she hot? Cold? Or...awake? Not the last one, he convinced himself. He couldn't stand that thought.

Light exhaled a soft breath through her nose, the lingering warmth fading away. She didn't know Riku saw the redness, and she was honestly starting to doze off now. She heard enough for one night.
Riku pushed the thought away and just focused on Lightning, and seeing how vulnerable and peaceful she looked, he wanted to be closer to her. He lifted her head gently from his lap and moved on the couch, being careful as he lay down on the couch just behind her. After setting her head down on the cushion, he wrapped his arm around her waist and buried his face in her pink hair, exhaling a breath. Lightning...

Light subconsciously hummed a drowsy "mm" when Riku moved himself much closer to her, the girl feeling warmer again. But it was definitely a good kind of warm. She wished they would have cuddled like this sooner. Earlier she felt like she was home when she was in Riku's arms, and that was exactly it. This was where she felt safest.
Riku felt himself smile a little at the hum, and he held Light a little closer because of it. He kept his eyes closed and relaxed as he lay with her, the room silent around them; all he could hear was Jasmine's light snoring, which he grew used to over the last year. Nothing could ruin this moment now.

Light couldn't help but smile softly, Riku's arm holding her closer than she had been before. This is home, she thought, content in her exhaustion. She almost wanted to stay awake now, just to enjoy this a little longer. But she really was tired, and Riku probably was too. She wouldn't mind the two of them falling asleep like this.
Riku kept his face buried in Light's soft hair, breathing evenly. Now that he was actually lying down, he was exhausted. After chasing Warp for so long and thinking over all that happened, he could use some sleep. But not nearly as bad as Lightning. She deserved the rest.

Light truly lost consciousness a few moments after Riku held her, though his soft breath was moving her hair and making it tickle her neck. She loved the feeling, surprisingly. She never thought she'd love something so intimate, but she did, even in sleep.
Riku listened to Light's even breathing for a few moments, and eventually, he also fell asleep. Even while he was unconscious, his arm didn't loosen around her; his hold was still secure. He wasn't going to let her go.

Lightning surprisingly slept through the whole night, not waking up once because of her not being used to sleeping long. She was comfortable in Riku's home, and being with him in general. She was safe.
