A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Riku woke up early the next morning, but it was only due to his mother coming in and waking him up. Because Lightning was out cold, she didn't wake up when Riku's mom tapped him on the shoulder. He'd been surprised to be caught cuddling with the girl he loved, especially by his mom, but the woman only smiled; Riku guessed it was because her son never exactly paid attention to girls in the past. Regardless, Riku managed to get up from the couch without disturbing Light, though he made sure his mother was out of the room before he lightly kissed her head of pink hair. After that, he went into the kitchen and asked his mother for a favor.

Light wasn't disturbed by Riku's mother, or him getting off the couch and leaving the room. She would probably notice him missing soon, though. But for now, she just remained asleep.

Riku's mother was surprised by the request, but she agreed nonetheless. And why wouldn't she? He was her only son, and she was a hairdresser. It would be a simple, cheap task. Riku glanced into the living room when his mother led him toward the bathroom, where she would be acting out his request, and saw that Light was still asleep. He smiled a little at the sight of how peaceful she looked, and at the surprise she would wake up to. Riku started down the hall after his mother, running his hair through his long hair one last time.

Lightning woke up about twenty minutes after Riku left her, Jasmine the cause of that. The dog started licking at her face, and when she rolled over on the couch to avoid the dog's tongue, Jazz jumped on the couch and kept antagonizing her. She groaned softly, not wanting to wake up.

"Thanks, Mom," Riku called down the hall, on his way back to the living room to see if Light was awake. He heard his loving parent call back to say "you're welcome", who also told him to go be with Lightning, and that she would clean up the mess in the bathroom. Riku ran his hands through his shorter hair now, the weight lighter and the feeling completely different than what he was used to.

"Jazz," Light groaned softly, rolling onto her stomach and hiding her face in her arms. Jasmine still didn't leave her alone, though, standing on the edge of the couch and sniffing her pink hair. I don't wanna wake up...

Riku heard the groan and walked around the corner, stopping just inside the living room. He saw what Jasmine was doing, and Light's position, which caused him to smirk. "Your own personal wake-up call," he commented, crossing his arms and leaning his shoulder against the doorway. Jasmine always did that to him, but eventually he got up before she did, so that never happened anymore. At least not as much.

Light heard Riku's voice, and judged his position based on that, but she didn't bother lifting her head to look at him. "Where's the off switch?" she murmured, Jasmine not leaving her alone. She was so groggy...It was unusual for her to be like this.

Riku couldn't help but laugh at the murmur, and he lowered one of his arms, snapping. "Jazz," he called softly. The dog looked over at him, leaving Lightning alone. He patted his leg and she ran over, wagging her tail. "You're free," Riku said to Light, scratching the top of Jasmine's head.

"Thanks," Light murmured, keeping her head buried in her arms. She was glad for that, even if she did love Jasmine. She was comfy here, and she almost felt like going back to sleep.

Riku hummed softly and nodded, lifting his eyes to Lightning. His small smile remained, seeing how she kept her face turned toward the couch. She must have been drowsy.

"Goodnight," Light murmured into the couch, not knowing that she was supposed to look up and see Riku's hair. She was clueless about the change in his appearance, having not expected him to get hair cut soon.

Riku rolled his eyes and shook his head, which was when he pushed himself away from the wall. He approached Light quietly and set his hand on the back of the couch, leaning over her so he could try and see her face. "Good morning," he corrected her softly.

"Mm-nm," Light hummed, shaking her head softly against the couch. She wanted to go back to sleep, or at least cling to the notion of getting more rest. Couldn't she and Riku snuggle again?

Riku chuckled, keeping his position as he looked down at Lightning. He could see her more clearly now, since his bangs were no longer in his eyes. "Wouldn't you rather move to a bed?" he asked.

Light shook her head softly again. "Why?" She was just fine here on the couch, and like Riku said, it was morning. It was probably time she got up.

"Because, like every other person, I find it more comfortable," Riku replied with a smirk, keeping his gaze on Lightning. Unless, of course, she wanted to stay on the couch. He guessed it didn't really matter.

"Nah," Light said softly, faintly shaking her head yet again. She was alright the way she was. And..."Besides, it is morning. I should probably wake up..."

"Probably," Riku repeated with a small nod, agreeing. "But I don't think my mom will mind if you crash for a little longer. She saw us earlier, so it's really not a big surprise." She understood, which Riku was thankful for. He wouldn't have known how to talk himself out of that.

Your mom...? Oh...For a while, Light forgot to think about any body else. Including...Ven. He was probably wondering where she was. But then again, he probably figured it out.

Riku arched an eyebrow when Lightning didn't respond, and so he only pushed himself back, away from the couch. Jasmine ran over to him then, and he squatted down, rubbing behind her ears when she reached him. He'd give his attention to the other girl in his life, if Light was just going to sleep.

Light opened her eyes partway, blinking when she realized she never gave Riku a response. "Sorry, delayed reaction," she said. "Still tired." Why was she so out of it?

"I figured as much," Riku said softly, his eyes still on Jasmine. He scratched behind her ears quietly, thinking that the reason Lightning was so drowsy was because of the amount of sleep she just got; she must not have been used to it.

Light forced her eyes open completely, the girl turning her head on her arms as she looked over at Riku and the dog. "How long have you--" She never finished her question, doing a double-take. ...Short hair?

Riku turned his head to look at Lightning when she suddenly stopped talking, but when he saw her face, he didn't question it. His hair. That was it, wasn't it? Riku's lips spread into an arrogant smirk, the boy knowing that was it.
