A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Light literally lifted a hand and rubbed her eyes, making sure she wasn't just seeing things. He looked just like his older self for a second there, but she knew she wasn't thrown into the future again. She was still in his living room, after all. "....?" Her expression showed her confusion, and how she was at a loss for words. When did this happen?

Riku couldn't help but chuckle at the look on Lightning's face, the boy glancing back down at his dog. Yeah, it was the hair. He didn't know she would react like this, though; he figured she would have at least spoken. But clearly not. It was humorous, nonetheless.

"Uh..." Lightning finally forced out, seeing Riku wasn't going to say anything. "When did you...?" He definitely had long hair last night when they cuddled on the couch.

"This morning," Riku said, looking back to Lightning with the same smirk. He was wondering when she would notice, but she obviously had to wake up for that.

Light found herself smiling softly as she pushed herself up into a sitting position, leaning back against the corner as she looked at Riku. "That was fast," she commented, recovering. He just got the idea of a haircut last night, and he did it this morning. Why the rush?

Riku shrugged a little, thinking to what happened recently. Warp was defeated, Lightning became his...for good. "Things are changing, so I thought: why not?" he said with the same smirk. It wasn't that big of a deal; he'd have to get another haircut soon enough. And it was about time anyway.

Light blinked in awe, feeling a sense of deja vu. "That's exactly what your older self thought when he cut off his hair," she said. But why was that so surprising for her? This was the same person she was thinking about here, after all. Why wouldn't he think in similar ways to his older self.

Riku lifted an eyebrow at that. "...Weird," he said softly. That was just a coincidence, but it was definitely strange that the same situation caused the same response. It was unexpected.

"Well, I guess you are the same person," Lightning said, shrugging softly. It made sense, after all. It just caught her off guard at first.

"Mm," Riku hummed softly, taking his hands back from Jasmine's head. He kept his eyes on Lightning, just looking at her for a moment; he could actually see her now, since his bangs were no longer in his eyes. "So, what do you think?"

Light smiled softly, also remembering what Riku told her about smiling last night, when he thought she was asleep. "I like it," she said softly. He looked good with shorter hair, and she liked that she could see his eyes better now.

"Good," Riku said softly. He was told that she would like it better that way, and he was glad that his older self didn't lead him astray.

Light gently pushed herself off the couch, moving to sit by Riku and Jasmine. But instead of petting the dog once she was seated, she lifted a hand and lightly ruffled Riku's shorter hair. How often did she normally touch his hair? It seemed like she didn't do it often.

"Heh," Riku laughed quietly, squinting his eyes slightly when Light performed the gesture against his head. He felt his hair getting messed up, not that it really mattered. It always somehow fell back into place.

Light stopped the gesture after a second or two, smoothing out Riku's hair gently. She did like shorter hair, no doubt about that. And Riku seemed alright with it, too. Or so she hoped.

Riku opened his eyes fully again, feeling Light smooth out his hair. He only looked at her, though, now that she was closer. Cuddling with her last night... He never thought he would do such a thing, with anyone. But he liked it...a lot.

"Do you like it?" Light asked softly, continuing to run her hand over Riku's hair as her eyes followed the motion. She was referring to his hair, and its new length. She hoped he liked it...she didn't know how she'd react if he didn't.

"Yeah," Riku said softly, his eyes staying on Light. He relaxed under her touch, letting her run her hands through his hair for the first time...well, ever. "I had it this short a few years ago. It's not completely new."

"Mm," Light hummed quietly, moving her hand to the top of Riku's head again and letting her fingers lightly go through his hair. When it reached the bottom, she just fingered the ends of his hair, her soft blue eyes on that.

Riku couldn't help but smile. This was something he'd never experienced before. No girls had ever messed with his hair before; he'd only done that to Lightning, like last night. But...it was surprisingly calming.

Light glanced at Riku's face, seeing his calm expression. That drew a soft smile out of her. "You're almost like Jazz," she said with a small smirk. "Getting all calm and quiet when somebody rubs your head." Of course, she was just teasing; she knew how calming it was to have somebody play with hair.

Riku hummed softly with a slightly wider smile. "Can't help it," he admitted softly. "This is the first time it's happened." His hair had been a little shorter than this when he was little, and his mom often did it to show affection, but that hadn't happened in years. Besides, this was different anyway; it was Lightning.

"Hm," Light hummed softly, nodding as well as her smirk turned into a softer smile. "And I'm honored to be the first person to do it," she said honestly, her eyes locking onto Riku's. She was glad she was the girl who got to do this.

Riku's smile softened at that, but he didn't respond verbally. He lifted one of his hands instead to sit on Light's leg, his eyes on hers. He got lucky; she was his... Unbelievable.

Lightning's soft smile remained, Riku's hand light on her leg. She gently moved her hand away from his hair and set it on his shoulder, though her eyes stayed on his.
