Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Lightning's arched brow stayed raised. "Not even with wooden swords?" Surely they had some around somewhere, since the boys grew up sparring. Sora told her a lot of Riku's past, since he didn't like talking about it himself.
"There are some around, but I'm not taking the risk," Riku said with a small shake of his head. He reached for one of Light's hands held out to him, though he didn't stand up. He ran his thumb over her fingers before looking back up at her. "Accidents happen."

Light looked down at Riku's thumb going over her fingers, and she couldn't help but feel touched by his care. But it annoyed her at one level, too. "You don't have to treat me like I'm fragile," she stated quietly. "I can take a few hits." And he knew that.
"It's not that I don't think you can, Light," Riku said, holding onto her hand as he pushed himself up with his free hand. Once he was standing, he looked down at her, able to see her clearly due to his shorter hair. "I just don't want to." He had to hurt her in Agrabah that one time, and that was enough.

Light nodded slightly, biting down on her tongue so she wouldn't bicker with Riku. He wasn't budging, so she would have to let it go a little. She was up for some friendly competition, but he wasn't going to at the risk of causing her pain. She had to accept it.
Riku lifted his free hand to the back of Light's neck, gently pulling her a little closer as he kissed her forehead. He hoped she understood, or could at least try to. He just didn't want to be the one to cause her pain; he wanted the opposite: to protect her from it.

Light shut her eyes when Riku kissed her forehead, her free hand coming to his waist as her other hand remained in his. She softened up at the show of affection, realizing that Riku would naturally want to protect her from pain even if she could handle it. It was what boyfriends were meant to do.
Riku pulled back after a second and looked down at Light, his hands remaining where they were. "You understand, right?" he asked softly. He just wanted to check, because if it was that big of a deal, they would have a problem.

"I understand," Lightning responded softly. "I don't like it, but I get it." This was just how Riku was, and nothing she could say or do was going to change that. She'd compromise and let this one go.
Riku's eyebrows furrowed a little, not understanding one part of her statement. Light didn't like...what? That he didn't want to hurt her? He thought that was pretty reasonable.

Even with her eyes closed, Light could tell Riku wasn't happy with her answer. "I'm just used to sparring, even with real weapons," she stated softly, thinking of the countless times when she fought Ven recently and her past when she first trained herself to fight, before joining the military. "It's not that big of a deal to me, but it is to you. I get it."
Riku moved his hand from the back of Light's neck to the side of her head, his fingers in her pink hair. "A relationship is about compromise," he said softly, believing and knowing that even if this was his first one. "If you're not okay with it, we have a problem." He didn't want her to be unhappy.

Light shrugged softly, opening her eyes and looking up at Riku. "I'm okay with it. I understand." She knew that he didn't want to hurt her; he showed as much in Agrabah a while ago. She'd deal with his feelings being so strong that he didn't want to spar even with toy swords. It'd be fine.
Riku's eyebrows remained furrowed as he gazed at the young woman he loved, but he didn't say anything more. Alright, he thought, slowly pulling his hand away from her head and loosening his hold on her hand. If she was being honest, then okay.

Light tilted her head faintly, eyes staying on Riku's. "Did I say you could pull back?" she asked with an arched brow, her small smile giving her away. She hadn't given Riku permission to take his hand out of her hair.
Riku lifted an eyebrow, his recent expression disappearing. "You never said I had to keep my hand there, either," he pointed out, squeezing her hand lightly as he looked down at her. Lightning hadn't given him any instruction.
  • Author
"I thought it was implied," Light said with a slight smirk. She was still holding onto Riku's hand, after all. Why would she want him to pull back?
Riku shook his head slightly. "Not so much," he disagreed, though he did lift his hand to rest on the lower part of Light's cheek. He ran his thumb over her smooth skin as he kept his eyes locked with hers. But he had to admit she was right; it was better this way, even if she hadn't said it directly. It was implied.

"My mistake," Lightning said, her small smirk fading into a more genuine smile as she looked up at Riku's eyes. She thought it was pretty obvious, but oh well. No big deal.
Riku smiled weakly, keeping his eyes trained on Lightning's. "Don't worry," he told her softly. "You're forgiven." It wasn't like he could get mad at her for such a thing, anyway.
  • Author
"Glad to hear it," Light responded with a soft smile, leaning her head against his hand lightly while keeping her eyes on his. She was already pretty used to the short hair thanks to her time in the future; the Riku she had seen for two weeks had hair this length. It wasn't too new to her.
Riku wasn't sure what to say now, so he didn't say anything at all. And by the silence, nothing was supposed to be said. It was just to be him and Lightning, together, like they were destined to be.

Light hummed softly at the look in Riku's eyes, a small, barely-noticeable smile remaining on her lips. He said she should smile more...and she'd try her hardest to please him.

One week later...

"But, sir, please!" Kairi begged, standing in the living room with the Mayor and his wife, her heart beating irregularly with fear. He couldn't be serious about kicking her out, could he? Forcing her to move back to Radiant Garden?

"I've made my decision, Kairi," the Mayor said, sitting in a chair in the living room, his loyal wife standing beside him. "You've grown into a lovely young lady here on the Islands, but it is time you returned to your roots."

"But...my friends are here!" Kairi exclaimed, motioning toward one of the windows. "I can't just leave..." It would break her friends' hearts, and hers as well. How could he be doing this? She was just fine here.

Sora was currently in his own home, unaware of what was going on with his girlfriend. He was just lazing around watching a movie, glad for a time when he and his friends could all relax again. Hunting Warp had been tiring, but now that there was peace, he was going to enjoy it. He was alright with being by himself for a little while, even if he did sort of miss Riku. He always did take a few days to himself after battles, but now he was busy with Lightning most of the time. But it was okay; Sora just was glad he was happy.
