Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Sora shut his eyes, lowering his head in thought. Of course he didn't want to give up Kairi that easily. But...he knew he couldn't change the mayor's mind. Surely Kairi already tried to do that, and she was like his daughter. If she couldn't do it, nobody could. She...was going.
Kairi opened her eyes, seeing the water not too far off. She was going to miss this; the water, the sun, the sand... Everything. "...I'm going to miss you guys," she said softly, speaking to both boys. She had never imagined a life without them. It would be hard.

Sora squeezed his eyes shut a little more tightly, clamping his jaw shut. "We're still a trio," he said quietly. "No matter what." No matter what life threw at them, they'd always be best friends. This wouldn't ruin them. He wouldn't let it.

Riku nodded a little, glancing up at Sora. But his eyes fell back to Kairi when she moved out of their embrace. His arm around her came back, but his hand on her head only moved to her shoulder. She didn't release him completely either; one of her arms now rested by her side, the other hand gripping the fabric of his vest on his back.

Kairi wasn't sure what to say to that, the girl glancing up at Riku. He smiled weakly at her and nodded to say he agreed with Sora, and she lowered her gaze to the boy she loved. They were her protectors, her family. "Of course," she replied softly. They would always be a trio.

Sora kept his eyes shut, not knowing what to say after that. He was glad they all agreed, but...that didn't change this situation. They were going to physically be apart, and that would be hard. Especially for Sora, who loved showing affection to Kairi every time he saw her.
Kairi released Riku's vest and looked up at him through her puffy eyes. He smiled weakly and reassuringly at her, and she appreciated it; it showed he cared. She lifted her other hand to his on her shoulder, squeezing it once she had a hold of it before bringing it off her shoulder. She needed to have both boys come with her. "...The others," Kairi said softly, looking over at the mainland. They needed to know.

Sora opened his eyes, looking down at the waves by his feet. "You wanna go now?" he asked softly. That must have been the case, or she wouldn't have brought it up.
Kairi nodded, lifting her hands to wipe at her tear-stained face. "It needs to be done," she confessed quietly, putting on a brave face and stepping up to the responsibility now on her shoulders. She had to say goodbye.

Sora nodded slightly, looking over to Kairi and Riku. "Let's go," he said, knowing Riku would come along. No way were the three of them going to separate now that they knew what was happening tomorrow.
Kairi nodded once and took in a deep breath, releasing it as she started past Riku to get to the dock. She already knew where her friends would be this early in the morning--the beach. She could tell them all at once.

Two days later

It was two days since Kairi left the Islands, and everyone took it so hard. Sora wasn't really talking to anyone, and Lightning could see that Riku wasn't doing much better. She didn't know how to help except to stay close to him and let him know he wasn't alone, so that was what she did. It was an easy job for her, because she didn't have anywhere else to be. Ven was with Terra a lot, keeping him busy since Aqua also went to Radiant Garden to help Kairi get settled and make sure she was protected. So, Riku was naturally the person she would be with.

Riku stared out at the ocean, sitting in the sand as he gazed at the Island. He still couldn't believe it. Kairi was gone...really gone. And she wasn't coming back; she was in Radiant Garden permanently now. He remembered going with Sora to her room the day she was supposed to leave to see if she needed any help, and everything that she had in there was gone. The decorations, pictures, lamps, candles, even her bedsheets... They were all gone. And now the world felt a little darker since she wasn't here, with him and Sora to complete their trio. It was weird.

Lightning lifted a hand and lightly rubbed Riku's back, the girl sitting right next to her boyfriend. She didn't know what to say, but she did know that he wasn't doing well. Kairi was one of his best friends, after all; she didn't expect him to be doing well. She just wished she knew how to help him...He helped her so much when she was in pain, and now she was powerless to do the same for him. It was terrible.
Riku's eyes fell closed at the touch, his eyebrows furrowing even more over his eyes as well. He had one arm propped up on his knee so he could sit comfortably, but his thoughts were anything but that. Lightning had seen him vulnerable the last few days, and as much as he disliked it, he was okay with it too; they were close, so she was an exception.

Light continued rubbing Riku's back lightly, her eyes following the motion she could see. "You okay?" she asked softly after a few moments of silence, not looking up at Riku's face because she knew he probably wanted at least a little bit of privacy. It was what she would want if she was in his position.
Riku felt the wind shift his shorter hair and brush it against the side of his face. "Not really," he admitted softly. He missed Kairi, and kept wondering when he would see her again; he couldn't just waltz off. His parents would be angry with him if he did that. And he had responsibilities here. But he wasn't the only one that missed Kairi; Sora did too, and so did Roxas and Namine.

Light hummed quietly, eyes soft as she kept running her hand over Riku's back. That was the answer she expected, but she still didn't like hearing it. She...loved him, after all. She still had to get used to the thought, but her heart was already used to the feeling. Whatever hurt him, hurt her in turn. She felt bad for him.
Riku opened his eyes, staring down at the water that barely reached his shoe. "...Sora's worse than I am, though," he said softly. "I can't help but worry about him too." He barely spoke to anyone after Kairi left; immediately after she disappeared with Aqua, Sora went home. Riku hardly saw him since.

Light hummed yet again, also nodding faintly as she moved her hand to Riku's shoulder and let it sit there. She saw Sora once since Kairi left, and he wasn't doing well. It was a shame, because Sora was one of the teens she was closer to, not that she was extremely close to him. His personality made him likable to almost anybody because he was so warm, but he wasn't like that these past few days. He was really upset over losing Kairi, and she couldn't blame him.
Riku lifted his hand to cover his face, releasing a frustrated groan. His emotions were coming to the surface at the recollection of his friend's face when Kairi was leaving, something he didn't want to be seen. Sora was beat up about this, and so was he. They were both really close to Kairi, who had been crying upon her leave. It was a sad sight, but they tried their best to assure her that they would visit as soon as they could. It was all they could do now.

Light's eyes softened further, the girl scooting a little closer to Riku as she lifted her hand off his shoulder to his shorter hair. She lightly ran her hand over his silver locks, hoping to help...somehow. But comforting people didn't come naturally to her; normally she scolded them and told them to toughen up. But she was beginning to see that sometimes people needed to show weakness and trust somebody would be there to help them along.
Riku knew Kairi was alright. Aqua was there to offer protection and support while she adjusted, and he was grateful to the Master for that. But, that didn't mean he wasn't worried. Was she okay? Was his best friend staying strong? It was what Riku hoped for, and he was sure Sora was thinking the same. Or at least he hoped so. He didn't want his friend being depressed, even if it was inevitable.

"...I'm sure it'll get easier over time," Lightning finally said, voice soft as she tried to comfort Riku. This sudden, drastic change was hard, but once they got used to it and got into a routine of when they could visit Kairi, then things would be a little better.
Riku nodded slightly, but not enough to move Light's hand away from his head. He liked her touch; it was soothing, something he'd already gotten used to. But...at the mention of time, he couldn't help but ask something. "This...Kairi leaving..." he started softly, lowering his hand from his face to look at the person he loved beside him. "...Was this what happened in the future?" Or did Light not know that? As far as he remembered, she mentioned Kairi living in Radiant Garden. This had to be that first step.

Light kept her hand on Riku's head as she lightly shook her head, looking at him. "I'm not sure," she said softly. "But she lived there in the future, so I guess this could be why." She was just taking a guess, though.
