Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Riku lowered his gaze at that, staring down at the water that lapped at his feet. He couldn't tell Sora that, or he would flip out even more about this whole situation. But Warp was gone, so this couldn't possibly be right...could it? It was just coincidence.

Light looked to the ocean, though she wasn't thinking about the waves. We don't know how much the future has changed, she thought. It could have been completely different now that Lightning was back, or it could be very similar to what it was before. She hoped it wasn't the latter, because that future was very dark.
Riku lifted one of his hands, moving it to Lightning's leg closest to him. He really hoped the future she experienced wasn't somewhere further along this track their lives were traveling now. That would be...awful. Sora and Kairi's lives would be awful. He didn't want that for them.

Light glanced down at the hand Riku set on her leg, a weak smile tugging at her lips before it vanished. She ran her fingers through his hair one more time before she took back her hand, setting it in the sand behind her and leaning back into both hands slightly as she looked forward at the ocean.
Riku turned his head to look at Lightning, about to thank her for her support. It meant a lot to him. But...something out of the corner of his eye caught his attention. His head turned sharply back toward the Island, and when he saw that something had just flown into the atmosphere of his home, his hand tightened against Lightning's leg. "Who is that?" he asked, caution in his tone, the same look reflected in his eyes; all traces of sorrow were gone.

Lightning furrowed her eyebrows slightly, turning her head to look at whatever Riku was seeing. But when she saw the creature and its rider, her narrowed eyes widened. "It can't be..." she said in disbelief. She knew who that summon belonged to...But...That person couldn't be here. Could she?

"...Light," Riku said, his tone more urgent this time. His head spun with the sudden Darkness he could sense, his teeth clenching. Who was that? They...reeked of Darkness. A lot of it.

A young woman remained crouched on her summon, a bird-like creature named Bahamut. Her green eyes darted around the Islands that she was ordered to ambush, until she spotted her target. "There," she said, her Australian accent coming through as she motioned for Bahamut to travel toward the beach. Lightning was there, and she was about to suffer.

"Relax," Lightning said to Riku, standing up beside her boyfriend and keeping her eyes on the two coming in their direction. "It's an old friend." She didn't understand how Fang was alive, or how she tracked her down to this Island, but she was glad to see that her friend was no longer a crystal. She missed her.

Riku looked up at Lightning in confusion, wanting to believe her but having other thoughts. Her friend smelled of Darkness... He thought Lightning hated the Darkness.

Fang guided Bahamut lower until she decided that this height was low enough. She grunted, hopping off the Eidolon and landing in a crouched position on the beach. Standing up straight, she looked over her shoulder to see her summon disappear. "Alright then," she murmured softly, turning to face the two people not too far off. Only one of them was recognizable. "Time to get down to business."

Lightning turned, facing towards the friend she lost a while ago when Cocoon nearly fell out of the sky. "Fang," she said, taking a few steps forward with her hands loosely by her side. She wasn't crystal anymore. She was glad, but...Why was Fang alive again?
Fang's eyes rested on Lightning, but she glanced back at the boy that was with her former comrade when he reached for her. Unfortunately, he didn't do it in time. "Who's the chump?" she asked with an arched eyebrow, her spear in her hand. She may have been an empty shell full of hate and Darkness, but she could sense trouble when it was close enough.

Lightning arched a brow, stopping when there were a few feet between her and Fang. "A friend of mine," she said honestly, not sensing a threat. But apparently Fang did, since she still held onto her weapon. "Riku." She didn't trust him...was that it? It was understandable, since she hadn't trusted him at first either. But that was very different now.

Fang smirked a little at that name, finding it familiar. Her "boss" told her about it before she took off. The young woman looked over at the boy a second time. "I've heard about him," she mentioned. "One of those Keyblade wielders, is he not?"

Riku's eyes narrowed in disbelief. She knew about him? From who? And if he wasn't mistaken, her tone was...edgy. Was it the Darkness?

Light glanced back at Riku before she looked back to Fang, seeing that the former didn't seem to like Fang too much. She had to admit, her friend was acting odd. "...Fang, what's wrong?" she asked, taking another step forward. "You're not usually on edge like this." Fang was extremely laid back, all the time. Why wasn't this reunion more lighthearted?

"On edge?" Fang repeated, her eyes darting back to Lightning. "It's the way of life when you've interacted with Darkness." She saw the kid who was with Lightning take a step forward at that, and she looked to him. "Your friend over there would know all about it, now wouldn't he?"

Riku took another small step forward, lifting his hand slightly so he could reach the girl he loved. Something wasn't right. "Lightning..." he said slowly. He didn't want her too close to...Fang.

Lightning blinked at what Fang said, ignoring Riku for a moment as she tried to figure this out. She knew about Riku's past? But also..."You've been in contact with the Darkness?" she asked, concern rising within her. That wasn't good.
Fang's smirk remained, the woman nodding once as she held her spear beside her. Casually, for now. "A little too much, I'm afraid," she answered calmly, though the Darkness within her was building up the rage that was placed inside her by her "lord". "But what can you do? All that's left is to let it loose."
  • Author
"It's twisted you," Lightning said, disbelief coming through in her tone. Fang was going to let her Darkness rage? That was absolutely terrible. And dangerous. "Fang," she said, taking another step forward so she could set a hand on her friend's shoulder. She had to get through to her somehow.
"Hmph," Fang grunted, seeing an opportunity arise. Perfect. She moved quickly, knocking her spear against Lightning's shoulder to force her to turn. She then grabbed it with both hands and jerked it back horizontally, pinning it against the soldier's throat. "Don't get too close now," she said sarcastically, the Darkness evident in her words. She wasn't the Fang that Lightning had come to know. Not anymore.

Lightning grunted, startled when Fang threatened her, physically and verbally. "Have you completely lost your mind?!" she hissed in disbelief, looking out of the corner of her eye to try and see Fang. How could she threaten her like this? Sure, Fang turned on her in the past, but it wasn't because of Darkness. What was going on here?

Riku summoned his Keyblade immediately, gripping it tightly as the woman he loved was held by Fang's speark, a person who obviously wasn't the friend Lightning thought she knew. He met Fang's eye, the boy clenching his jaw when he saw the dark twist in them.

"I prefer to call it a small reconstruction," Fang said to answer Lightning's question. "You can blame the Darkness for that." Her eyes remained on Riku as she kept her spear against Lightning's throat, holding her in place. Of course, she was ordered to do much more damage than this.

  • Author
"There's nothing 'small' about this change," Lightning said, lifting her hands to the spear to push it away from her throat. It was actually hard to breathe for a second there. Fang was acting so unlike herself. She was so...dark.
Fang switched her gaze to Lightning when she started pushing against her spear, and she loosened her hold against her "friend". She'd had enough, for now. Fang released her spear with one hand and stepped back, allowing some room between herself and Lightning. "Alright," Fang agreed finally. "It's much more serious than that." It wasn't a small reconstruction at all.

Lightning stepped forward a few steps when Fang withdrew her spear, the young woman subconsciously touching her neck with her fingers lightly as she turned around to look at Fang. "What happened?" she asked. How did Fang turn out like this?

Riku took a small step forward, lifting his free hand to Lightning's back. He touched her faintly, knowing that something with Fang could cause the woman he loved to use her weapon. But he felt the urge to be close, just in case something happened.

Fang's smirk finally faded away, her moss green eyes narrowing. "What happened?" she mocked, her voice turning harsh. "I'll tell you what happened: you left me to suffer in that prison some believers call 'Eternal Life'." She shifted her grip on her spear, putting it behind her slightly as she glared at Lightning.
