Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Kairi bowed her head, her tears falling from her eyes and to her skirt. She didn't want to do that...ever. She never wanted to hurt Sora the way she did just now, but what was worse? Being with him and scaring him when she saw Vanitas, while also scaring herself? And avoiding him like they didn't have a relationship to begin with? Or was it better just not to have one at all?

Sora eventually made it back to the mainland, and when he did, he loosely tied up his boat without caring whether or not it would float out to sea. He got up on the dock and started walking, hoping he wouldn't run into anybody. But with his luck, he probably would.
Riku was sitting on the beach, at the moment staring down at a seashell he had between his fingers. That was what made him miss Sora's arrival back to the mainland. But if his friend came close enough, he would hear his footsteps or sense his presence. Either or.

Sora glanced in the direction of his home and saw Riku sitting on the beach. Terrific. But if he kept walking, maybe Riku would just ignore him. That was what he had done for the past week or so. With that in mind, he walked down the beach and headed towards his home, his eyes staying forward.
Riku looked up after a second, hearing footsteps nearby due to his battle-trained ears. When his eyes landed on Sora, he honestly didn't know what to do. Did he say hi? Riku didn't...mostly because that would've just been awkward, so he turned his head forward again. But something looked wrong about his best friend...

Sora didn't glance at Riku at all, his jaw locked as he kept going forward. He hated this! He just lost his best friend, and his other one was ignoring him. Soon, he would surely lose everyone else that he cared about. And then he would have no reason to exist.
Riku heard Sora's footsteps go past him, and the older boy closed his eyes, curling the shell in his hand. Kairi. He knew it had to involve Kairi. She just went to the island, and Sora got back... It only made sense.

Sora needed to get away from this. Now. He started at a run, bringing up a hand and summoning his armor without stopping. And then when his glider appeared under his feet, he flew up into the sky and left the world, not caring about anything but getting away.
Riku had opened his eyes and looked back at Sora just in time to see him fly off, in which the older boy only observed. Once Sora was gone, he looked back down at the seashell in his hand. His best friend was going off to who-knows-where, but Riku knew there was a reason for it. That was why he didn't stop him, and he would let him be until he came back.

A few days later...

Sora sat in the snow on top of a mountain, the teen in the Land of Dragons and by himself. He was blankly staring out at the area below him, his arms wrapped around his torso because of the very frigid weather. He couldn't remember when he had gotten there, but he had been in that place for a while. The weather was almost as cold as his heart was without his Light. Kairi...It had been almost a week since he ran off. And nobody came looking. He wasn't surprised over that; he had figured all of his friends would ignore him eventually just because that was what his two best friends randomly did.

Aqua walked through a burnt down village, her feet crunching through thick snow. Her eyes turned every which way for any sign of the boy she was looking for, on a search to find him. She'd left yesterday, and had searched three or four worlds before this one. Sora was nowhere to be found so far...but she wasn't about to give up. Aqua was determined to find him and talk to him; somebody needed to.

Sora didn't even know what he was doing here. He had been wandering, but now he was staying here for some reason. Probably because the dreary weather reflected his heart. He had nobody. Kairi didn't care. Riku didn't care. Roxas and Namine probably didn't either, and certainly Aqua, Terra and Ven were too happy with being reunited to care about one missing Keyblader. Everyone would have a happy ending but him.
Aqua saw a cave up ahead, and she furrowed her eyebrows as she looked at it, still walking toward a hill further forward. For some reason, she didn't think Sora would be in there. True, the weather was awfully cold, and it made her shiver a little, but something told her that didn't really affect him. So the young woman kept walking forward, blue eyes looking everywhere for the boy.

Sora supposed that he would just spend his life fighting, like Riku had done for a while. No social contact, but still be able to defend those who had lives worth living...Yeah, that sounded good to him. He would get started on that just as soon as he was able to actually focus in a fight again. He looked down, wincing at the gash he had on his arm because of his carelessness in a recent battle.
Aqua treked up the hill, her feet digging into the cold snow. The wind higher up moved her blue hair a little, making her nose a little more red. However, she didn't mind, focusing on something else entirely, someone more important. Sora couldn't run away from his problems like this, the woman knowing exactly what this had to be about. She really needed to have a talk with him...

Sora wouldn't bother healing it. It didn't matter if he was hurting on the outside; it couldn't have been nearly as bad as he was on the inside. He shut his eyes, lowering his head and clenching his one hand in a fist at pain. He had run away once before...when he was fighting his internal Darkness. But this time, nobody was going to take him back home.
Aqua got to the top of another hill before she came to a stop, her eyes falling on the boy she had set out to find. Finally, she found him... And by his posture, he definitely wasn't alright. Aqua's eyes softened in concern, the young Keyblade Master starting forward in silence.

Sora thought that he heard footsteps, but he didn't bother turning or even opening his eyes. If something wanted to finish him off, then he wouldn't fight it. Nothing mattered if he didn't have his Light. Kairi...He would never have her again. He would go on with his life without ever having the chance to hold her again...
Aqua came to a stop next to Sora, simply looking down at him when he didn't move. She frowned, sad. She bent down then, at his level as she was down on one knee. The young woman thought of Ven, and how sad he sometimes was like this, and that instantly made her protective of Sora. Not only did she think of her best friend, but she also thought of the little boy that was so happy on Destiny Islands. Sora...he wasn't that boy. Aqua lifted one of her hands, gently running it over the back of Sora's head of spiky hair.

Sora kept his eyes shut, feeling the hand that ran over his spiky hair. He knew that it could only be one person: Aqua. Nobody else would do that to him except for Kairi, and obviously she wouldn't come looking for him. He was a little surprised Aqua managed to track him down, but at the same time, he wasn't. She had cared back on Destiny Islands, when he had been upset days ago. And she still cared now. That realization made Sora swallow, feeling glad he wasn't alone.
Aqua didn't say anything, simply doing the same thing, running her hand over the back of Sora's head in a motherly manner. She felt awful, probably because she cared so much about him. Why wouldn't she? He was a lot like Ven, but that wasn't the only reason; he didn't deserve the heartache he was going through. Aqua wanted to see that friendly, cheery kid she met on the beach so long ago. But, things changed...

Sora opened his eyes after a few moments, his gaze down on the ground as he listened to the light gusts of wind that came around every once in a while. He was on top of a mountain. And he ready to just cry both from relief that he wasn't alone and sadness that he was missing the company of the person he really needed. He lost Kairi somewhere, somehow. And he could never have her back.
"You're alive," Aqua said gently after another moment of silence. "That's good." She couldn't say that he was all right, because he wasn't. One, there was a gash on his arm, and he looked pretty beat up from battle. And two, he looked shattered... Something was definitely, definitely wrong here.
  • Author
Is it? Sora wondered, though he didn't say that aloud. If Aqua thought it was good that he was alive, then he wasn't going to argue against her. He didn't want to lose one of the only friends he possibly had left, after all.
Aqua tilted her head a little, trying to get a better view of Sora's face. Her hand stopped on the back of his head, just sitting there for a moment before she took it back. "...Sora?" she called softly. "Talk to me."
