Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Lightning kept her eyes on Riku's. "Let's cut to the chase," she said, walking forward a few steps and stopping right in front of him. "You're stubborn. I'm more stubborn. I'm coming with." Got that?
"You're going to see your sister," Riku argued lowly. Lightning wasn't going to have a part in this; he didn't want her to be involved, even if Hades and Jafar made it so. He wanted her to be with her family and be safe.

"Yeah, that's smart," Light argued sarcastically. "Going to my sister when I'm still being hunted. I'll take the danger right to her house." No. She was not going to get anywhere near Serah while she was still being threatened.
"Fine, then go somewhere else," Riku said lowly. "You're not coming with me." He didn't want her being part of something so deadly, even if she was strong. Riku didn't like the idea of Jafar or Hades being near her, especially after what happened with Maleficent.

Light put a hand on her hip, staring up at Riku with hard eyes. "Nowhere else to go," she said, her voice low as well. She wasn't going to stay on this world even, and she couldn't go to Destiny Islands either. So she was going with Riku, no matter what his argument was.
Riku brought a hand to his face, pinching the bridge of his nose as he fought a headache. He wasn't in the mood for arguing, but he was set on his decision, and that was keeping Light safe. "You're not safe with me," he said softly, eyes closed.

"That's bull," Lightning said bluntly, keeping her gaze on Riku. Yeah, he was running into danger, but she was running away from her own danger. But she would lose her chase, and when Fang and Vanille caught up with her, she needed somebody with her--somebody who would keep her safe. And that was Riku.
Riku lowered his hand and opened his eyes, though he looked to the side. It wasn't "bull". It was the truth. Hades and Jafar were seeking to hurt the Keyblade wielders, and the ones they loved. If Lightning stayed with him, she would be right where those two wanted her; in front of them and an easy target.

"You should know by now that I'm safest when I'm with you, even if you're running into danger," Lightning declared softly, taking a small step to the side and then starting to walk towards the tunnels that would lead them out. Riku saved her life more times than she could count, and she wasn't weak by any means. He was meant to get her out of tough situations, and that was what he did.
"Lightning," Riku called, staying where he was as he watched her walk. He missed her, terribly. But he didn't want her to be gone forever. He was scared.

Lightning stopped a few feet away, her back to Riku. "Think about it this way," she said softly. "Leave me alone and it won't be Hades or Jafar that deals the final blow. But it'll end the same way." Fang and Vanille would follow the orders they were given and exterminate her.
Riku frowned, but the truth in Light's words caused his heart to skip in fright. He lowered his gaze to the ground, unable to find his voice to retort.

Upon hearing Riku's silence, Light knew she won this argument. And since she did, it was time for the two of them to get going. She started walking forward again, her pace calm.
Riku ground his teeth together in frustration, but otherwise followed Light in silence. He couldn't argue with her logic, even if he was terrified of what was to come. Riku didn't get scared often, but nobody had been able to take over the Islands like that. Everything was changing.

Lightning entered the tunnels first, blinking to adjust to the darker area better. But her thoughts weren't really on her surroundings; they were on the person behind her. I wonder how he coped with the Islands being lost when I wasn't around, she thought. He must have dealt with it somehow, because he turned out alright. But he would obviously cope differently if she was around. ...Is that good or bad?
Riku kept his gaze down, disregarding the difference in light here. It didn't really matter to him anyway, since it didn't affect him much. But what would Light being around do to him, and how he fought? He would die to protect her, he knew that much. He loved her, and wanted her safe. If dying and getting in the path of a spell or attack was the way to do it, he would.

Lightning knew one thing for sure: Riku was meant to survive for at least the next five years. But she didn't know for sure if she was supposed to be in the future. It was something she still wrestled with every day. Two weeks ago, from her perspective, she was in the future. Was that where she was supposed to stay? If she wasn't meant to be in Riku's life right now...then Fate would take her away. Simple as that.
Riku stepped over a rock in the ground, continuing to follow Light in silence. I swear, neither of them will touch her, he thought silently, his eyebrows furrowing. Jafar and Hades took away his home...his island. But they wouldn't take away his beloved.

Light didn't want to die, but she knew sometimes it was impossible to fight Fate. She lifted a hand to the burnt out brand on her chest, eyes lowering to the ground. She may have fought Fate in the past with her focus, but she didn't come out the full victor. She still had her brand. So maybe it was impossible to overcome one's Fate. She didn't know.
Riku glanced up at Lightning, seeing her walking a few yards ahead of him. He was keeping his distance involuntarily, but he was too lost in thought to really speak with her anyway. He lowered his sight to the ground, thinking of all Jafar and Hades could try pulling to get him away from Light. He wouldn't fall for it, now that she was coming with him.

The walk through the tunnels went by quickly because of how lost in thought Light was, and the only thing that snapped her out of it was the sunlight that hit her when she stepped out. She stopped a few steps out of the tunnel, grunting and lifting an arm to block the light. Too bright.
Riku saw Lightning stop, but because his eyes were well-adjusted to the Darkness normally, the sudden change in light didn't affect him as much. He walked past her, his armor appearing then. He heard the clanking with every step he took, but he summoned his Keyblade anyway. It was time for them to go.

Lightning furrowed her eyebrows slightly at Riku's actions, and how he still wasn't speaking to her. Was he that mad at her? She always told him that he was stuck with her, and she meant that. But she also meant what she said about being safest with him. Ever since she left Cocoon, she got swept up in circumstances that led her into danger. But Riku was always the one to save her. How could he be doubting himself now?
Riku stopped a few yards away, gripping his blade with both hands and pointing it at the ground. The tip glowed and he swung it up toward the sky, where a portal appeared that they could escape out of. He then threw his Keyblade into the air with a grunt, summoning his trusty glider. It appeared just in front of him, and he turned around slightly to look over his shoulder at Light.

Well, at least he's not flying off without me, Lightning thought, walking the distance between her and Riku and climbing onto his glider behind him. She wrapped her arms around him, but the tension between her and Riku made her feel odd. They had plenty of tension before, but this was just plain uncomfortable.
