Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"W-what?" Light asked shakily, opening her eyes even if she couldn't see Riku's face since he was holding her close. Was he saying he was an idiot for trusting her, or an idiot for something else?
Riku closed his eyes, continuing to run his hand down the length of Lightning's hair, even if they were lying down. "...I should have known you were suffering," he said softly, speaking to himself mostly. He was an idiot for thinking that Light was invincible, or not at least thinking of her emotions.

Light's eyes widened. "N-no," she said. "You shouldn't see it that way. I was supposed to save you from suffering. ...I deserve this, for failing you." Riku trusted her with everything, and she blew it. She deserved this sorrow.
Riku heard Lightning's soft, ragged breaths. She was still crying, and so he softly shushed her. "It's okay," he said softly. "You won't be going at this alone..." He took in a breath, inhaling the scent of her soft hair. "Not anymore."

Light sniffled, shutting her eyes again and leaning against Riku. She didn't know how to respond, so she didn't. Wasn't it too late? They couldn't set things right anymore; it was so screwed up. She didn't know what to do. All she knew...was that she didn't want to fight anymore.
Riku let his hand on Light's back go over her clothing, feeling her tears soak his skin. That was alright; he didn't mind. "Shh," he shushed her softly, lowering his head a little more so his lips were closer to her ear. It was a nightmare, and she probably wouldn't remember this, but he would. Riku wouldn't forget.

Light felt herself calming down, her tears slowing as Riku rubbed her back and shushed her. She wasn't in this alone...He wouldn't leave her despite how she failed. She was done fighting for now, but she was also done crying. She stood in the silence, Riku's embrace making everything else fade away.
Riku kept his eyes closed, hearing Light's breathing soften. Her tears stopped, since he couldn't feel the wetness against his skin anymore. He just kept holding her, hoping her nightmare would disappear, whatever it was.

Light sighed a soft breath, her body relaxing in her sleep. The dream was over, and her thoughts were leaving her alone for now. But the warmth she felt during her dream, the presence that had comforted her and assured her she wasn't alone, was still there.
Riku shushed Lightning softly again, even if she wasn't crying anymore. He felt her breath against the bare skin of his chest, but it didn't bother him. He held the woman he loved, feeling himself begin to doze off now that she was calm.

Lightning felt herself start to wake up, though she didn't move her body. She was definitely warmer than she would have been if she was just under the covers, which she felt like weren't over her much. Her face was especially flushed. Was her face...wet?
Riku's hand began to slow in its movement, sleep threatening to take him under. But he forced himself to stay awake for now, just in case Light had another bad dream.

Light tiredly opened her eyes, and because of the moonlight coming into the room, she was able to tell that something was right in front of her face. And the warmth helped her judge what was going on even if she was groggy. Riku...was holding her. She realized that was truth, but she didn't realize she cried earlier.
Riku's eyes remained closed, though his hand still ran over Lightning's back. His other hand continued to cup the back of her head, the boy holding her close while he could. This could be the last night they truly had together before something separated them. It was a scary thought, but a realistic one too.

Is he...awake? Light thought, feeling his hand go over her back. He couldn't have been asleep and doing that. "Riku?" she whispered softly, shutting her eyes again since she couldn't see much anyway.
"Mm?" Riku hummed softly, not opening his eyes at the voice. So Lightning was up now... He hoped he wasn't the cause of that. He wanted her to get as much sleep as she could.

Light was a little surprised Riku responded. Why was he awake? How long had he been conscious, and how long had he been holding her. Why was he holding her after their fight earlier? She had a lot of questions, none of which she bothered verbalizing. "Nothing," she murmured.
Riku's eyebrows furrowed a little, but he only kept his head against the pillow and his eyes closed, Light's head just under his chin. He grunted faintly in response. If she said so.

Light lifted an arm and wrapped it over Riku, being reminded that he wasn't wearing a shirt. She should have noticed that her face was almost against his chest, and she should have noticed the tears, but she was too groggy. She sighed tiredly, prepared to fall right back asleep.
Riku kept his arms around Lightning, and eventually his hand stopped moving against her back. Now that she was okay, his will to stay awake disappeared. In a matter of minutes, Riku fell back into a light slumber, his breathing becoming even.

Light listened to Riku's even breathing for a few minutes, using it as a lullaby to help her fall back asleep. She did soon after he did, no dreams haunting her as she rested in the arms of her protector.

The next morning

Riku woke up with Lightning still in his arms, but he was out of bed by the time she woke up, having already showered and gotten dressed. He was getting ready for a meeting with the others, but Lightning said she wanted to go to the library. As long as she didn't get into trouble, Riku was okay with it, though he had the urge to go with her.

Lightning sat on the edge of the bed, putting on her boots since she already grabbed a quick shower and was dressed. She already told Riku she was going to the library, even if he mentioned she could be helpful to the meeting with everyone else. But at least he didn't argue with her when she said she was going to the library anyway. She wore the same mask she had been wearing for a while, the one that said she was tough and able to handle everything. Her dream lingered in the back of her mind, but she believed none of that was real. So there was no point in acting any different than she had been.
Riku walked over to the dresser in the bedroom he and Lightning shared, grabbing his vest that he had thrown there the previous night. He glanced over at Lightning briefly, but then he focused on putting his vest on. She was still acting the same, as if she didn't remember a thing about last night. He wasn't sure whether to take that in a good way or bad way.

Light ignored the wet hair dangling over her shoulder, finishing up with her second boot after a few seconds. She hadn't caught Riku's gaze on her, but she noticed he was acting a little odd. It was like he was completely forgetting all the tension that had been between them, but she didn't know why that was. She leaned forward on the bed and grabbed her weapon's case, strapping it on behind her once she was standing. She was set to go.
