Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"I'm ready to go back now," Light said with a small nod, surprising herself. Did she really want to walk back with Riku? She found that she did, because she wanted to watch him a little more and figure out what was going on with him. And the library staff would put the books back for her; it was their job.
Riku nodded a little, lifting his gaze back to Lightning. "Alright," he said softly. "Let's go." They would go back together then.

Light pushed the book over to the side of the table while also standing up, ready to go. She assumed they were all leaving for Hades's world pretty soon, but then again, Riku said they were going back to the house. So she didn't know what was happening when.
Riku saw Light get up, and since she wasn't too far off, he went on ahead and turned around. He left the room, the rest of the library just as he had left it earlier: quiet and undisturbed. He wished his mind was the same.

Light started after Riku, catching up with him within a minute and walking beside him. She didn't bother looking up at him, analyzing the vibe she sensed here. Riku had just talked to her the most he had since their fight in Destiny Islands, not that they had talked much between their fight in Cocoon and the Islands. They really weren't on the same page much these days.
Riku left the library alongside Lightning, though he didn't say anything to her as they walked outside. His arm brushed hers a couple times, and he was tempted to hold her hand, but he didn't. He got the idea that Lightning wouldn't be exactly...comfortable with it, even after how they held each other last night.

"You're acting...strange," Light commented softly after a minute or two of walking, her gaze staying on the path. They hadn't walked this close in a while, not that she was really against it. She blamed herself for what happened in Destiny Islands, and she thought Riku would still be mad at her for that. She didn't realize that the things she heard last night in her dream were really spoken by the boy beside her.
Riku looked over at Lightning, his eyebrows furrowing. "What's that supposed to mean?" he asked, though he didn't say it bitterly. He was curious. How was he acting strange?

"You tell me," Light said, redirecting the question towards Riku. What did his strange actions and behavior mean? She was wondering what changed between last night and this current moment.
Riku looked ahead again, the same expression on his face. "I didn't know talking to you was being strange," he said quietly, continuing to walk alongside the woman he loved. He and Light hadn't talked much, but now that he was putting her before himself, she saw him as acting different. To him, that wasn't ordinary.

"...Right." That was all that Lightning could think to say, Riku taking a path she didn't know how to respond to. She wasn't just referring to him talking to her. It was his gaze that had her curious. Why did he look at her so differently today compared to yesterday?
Riku didn't respond, though he did glance at Lightning out of the corner of his eye. He could make out her pink hair, but not any more than that. He looked forward once more, wondering what she was thinking. He wasn't acting that strange, was he?

No use bringing it up, Light thought. We're getting along just fine the way we are. Sort of, anyway. They weren't screaming at each other, but...she wanted things to be peaceful between them again. Even if she didn't believe she deserved it. Riku was a much better person than she was.
Riku saw the house up ahead, and he was sure his friends were still there. They all had to be prepared for the next battle, which would definitely be a hard one. There was no doubt about it.

Light looked to the other side, tisking softly at herself. Now was no time to get emotional. Why on earth was she so on edge? She remembered the dream she had last night, and she was...sad, that it wasn't reality. Riku saying she wasn't alone and holding her even if she failed him. That was what her heart yearned for now.
As they got closer, Riku set his hand on Lightning's upper back to gently guide her to the path that led up to the house. He didn't think it was an action that was out of the ordinary, at least not for him.

Light grunted softly in surprise, eyebrows furrowed a little as she looked over at Riku. "What is with you?" she finally asked, though her tone wasn't bitter. It was just very, very confused. Last night after Destiny Islands, they hadn't gotten too close to each other. Now Riku was touching her arm when they walked and now setting a hand on her back? She didn't get it.
Riku stopped walking at that, and he took his hand away from Lightning's back. "Sorry..." He was a little caught off guard with the question, and he was sure that was expressed on his face. But...maybe he shouldn't have been confusing Lightning so much. It wasn't good for her, not on top of everything else.

Light's eyebrows were furrowed in confusion, not anger, as she stepped forward so she was in front of Riku, looking up at him. "What is going on?" she asked more softly, her tone less judgmental. She just wanted to understand.
Riku gave Lightning an equally confused expression, the boy tilting his head. "You mean, you don't remember?" he asked softly. She didn't remember last night?
  • Author
Light's eyebrows returned to their normal position, her eyes staying on Riku. "...No?" she said cautiously. "What am I supposed to remember?" What could Riku possibly be referring to?
Riku looked away at that, knowing he would have to explain. "You were having a nightmare last night," he told Light quietly, keeping his eyes focused on the cobblestone to his side. "...You were crying."
  • Author
Lightning's eyes instantly widened at that, the girl glancing away. She remembered the dream perfectly, and how upset she had been in her dream-self. But...if Riku knew she was crying, then...It wasn't just the dream. She cried in reality.
"I...tried to calm you down," Riku continued, feeling the wind shift his silver hair. "It took a little while, but I was patient with you." He looked over at the person he loved, his eyes resting on her face now. "...You couldn't help it."
  • Author
Light felt a blush creeping up in her cheeks, not because of what Riku just said, but because she had been crying. She felt pathetic enough dreaming it, and now it was a reality. But..."What do you mean, you were patient with me?" she asked softly.
