A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Light silently shook her head, not saying a word. She already knew that, because he was willing to wait five years for her before. She knew he didn't plan on giving up on this relationship, but she just...She wanted what was best for him.

Riku fought the emotions boiling within him, the boy turning his attention back to the woman he loved. "Don't do this now," he requested quietly. The stress from what Jafar and Hades were doing was just getting to her. That was all...

"Do what now?" Lightning asked, her voice the same volume as Riku's. Was he telling her not to fall apart right now? Because she was trying. But it seemed like she couldn't do anything right these days.

"Don't...push the people that love you away," Riku said quietly, his eyes resting on Light's face. He loved her, more than he probably should have when he was so young. But he did. It was just how things were. His heart wanted her.

Light didn't know how to respond, so she didn't. She kept her gaze down and over at the ground. She was pushing him away, wasn't she? Her head told her to do that, because she didn't deserve him, but her heart yearned for him more than anything. This was the strongest she felt about someone other than family in her whole life.

Riku didn't know what to say once Lightning was silent, so he did the same. He kept his eyes on her, though, wanting to touch her and hold her. But it didn't seem right. Not after what she just said.

"I...I'm sorry," Light said softly. She didn't know what else to say. She was sorry for pushing Riku away, because she knew it was hurting him, but she was also sorry for things being the way they were. She felt responsible.

Riku only looked at Light, believing that she was just referring to now. But... "Sometimes, you can't help the way you feel," he said in her defense. Some people felt differently than others, and she was one of them. But...maybe he could convince her that she was good enough. Even better than he'd thought.

"Soldiers are supposed to be strong enough that they can help the way they feel," Light responded without looking up. She was a soldier, or an ex-soldier, depending on how it was viewed. She still fought a lot, so she still had the mentality of a soldier in many ways. She should have been stronger than this.

"...You don't have to be a soldier right now, Light," Riku said with a small shake of his head. "Just be yourself." She needed to be the girl that was within, not the hard and stoic warrior she appeared to be. He loved both sides of her, though he cherished the inner part the most.

Lightning was about to comment how she didn't know who she really was, but then she disagreed with herself. She didn't have a definition for who she was exactly, but she knew one thing for certain. "I'm myself when I'm with you," she said softly, finally looking up at Riku.

Riku's eyes were now aligned with Lightning's, and her words touched his heart instantly; it skipped at the confession. One corner of his mouth turned up into a faint, crooked smile, because he liked what she said made him feel. "...Then you're the best I can ask for," Riku replied quietly. She said earlier that he deserved better, but he loved her. He didn't need, or want, anyone else.

Light felt her lips turn up slightly, Riku's crooked smile almost always causing her to react that way. "I'm still stuck with you?" she asked softly. She hoped so, because being stuck with him was the best thing that ever happened to her.

Riku's crooked smile remained as he nodded once, his gaze resting on the woman he loved. She was stuck with him until he said so, and that would be for a long time.

"I guess I can deal with that," Light said, her smile turning crooked as well but remaining soft. For the first time in a while, Riku actually looked...happy. Maybe she wasn't totally bad for him after all.

Riku felt his smile grow a little more at the words. Deal, yeah right. She would do much more than deal; she would love every minute of it, if he had anything to say about it. Riku stepped forward, bringing one hand to cup Lightning's cheek as he lowered his lips to hers in a soft kiss, his other hand lifting to rest on her arm.

Light lifted her chin and kissed Riku back gently, her eyes shutting at the gesture and her heart skipping a beat. She lifted her one hand to Riku's waist while his hand was on her arm, her other hand going to his shoulder.

Riku knew one thing as he kissed Lightning, and that was how at peace he felt amidst all the chaos. As long as he was with her, none of it could touch him. But as long as the chaos lasted, he would be the one standing in the way of its path. He loved Light so much that he didn't want her to get hurt. Ever.

The kiss ended a few moments later, Light pulling back slightly and taking in a breath. She felt...happy. Not only because she and Riku weren't arguing, but because of what he said last night. She wasn't doing this alone, not anymore.

Riku kept his hands where they were, opening his eyes to look down at the woman before him. "I love you," he told her in a soft whisper. He had never loved anyone, not before her. She was truly special.

"I love you more," Light whispered, keeping her eyes shut. But she didn't know if that was actually true or not. Riku loved her enough to wait five years for her, and she loved him enough to want to set things right for him. They both really, really cared for each other.

Riku smiled a little, running his thumb briefly over Light's skin. "Hm," he hummed softly. "I doubt that." He loved to hear her say it back, but his feelings were incredibly passionate for her. He'd never felt so strongly for someone.

Light smiled softly, staying as she was. "Guess I'll have to prove it to you then," she said quietly. And she had an idea on how to do that: she wasn't going to stop searching for a way to unfreeze the Islands. She'd give him his home back.

Riku spotted that smile, and he nodded slightly, even if Light couldn't see it. "Yeah," he agreed softly. He then moved in for another kiss, though this was shorter. It only lasted a small second before he withdrew. He wasn't sure how Lightning would prove her love, but his older self already gave him an idea. Of course, it wouldn't happen now; Riku would save that idea for the future.

Light opened her eyes, seeing Riku after he kissed her. Her small smile remained, her pale blue eyes on his aqua ones. It had been too long since they had a moment like this. She was glad that they were on the same page now.
