A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

No point worrying about it now, Lightning thought. She was still going to be running around for a little while trying to end things with Hades, Fang, and Vanille. It was a wonder the latter two hadn't tracked her down yet, since she had been on this world for over a day.

Riku released a small breath, his eyes leaving the stars and going to the building just across the cobblestone. He and Light had to get back. Once Hades was gone and Light was safe, he would focus solely on her. He vowed on it.

If they hadn't checked on Cocoon, Light would have been worried about her family. But they stopped in within the past two days and everything was fine. Fang and Vanille were focused solely on her, and killing her. That was both comforting and frightening at the same time.

"...We should head back," Riku said softly. They hadn't been out here long, but they really needed their rest if they were going to take on Hades the next day. He would be difficult to defeat, but they had to do it, no matter what.

"We should," Light agreed softly, snapping out of her thoughts and opening her eyes. She was pretty tired anyway, so it was time to get some rest. Tomorrow would be a rough day.

Riku turned his head to look at Lightning, the boy pulling his hand away from her leg to sit in his own lap. He would walk back with her, and he would stay close. He didn't want to be away from her, even if they would share a bed back at Kairi's.

Light brought her head off Riku's shoulder, rising to her feet and straightening her jacket once she was up. She was ready to sleep. In fact, she felt so tired she didn't feel like walking back. But no way was she going to fall asleep outside.

Riku pushed himself up from the bench and instantly wound his arm around Light's shoulders. "C'mon," he said, letting his eyes leave her and turn forward as he started walking. Kairi's house was just down the block; it wasn't that far.

Light hummed softly, wrapping an arm around Riku's lower back and walking with him. While walking, she tried not to think about anything that could happen tomorrow. She just wanted to stay with Riku like this forever.

Riku and Light made it to Kairi's house in only a few minutes, and the door was unlocked, just as he expected. After holding the door open for Lightning, Riku locked it behind him and followed her upstairs to their bedroom, where they would hopefully get enough rest for tomorrow.

Lightning took off her boots and her weapon's case before she crawled into the bed, remembering how just last night, she and Riku were barely speaking. And the dream that she had in her sleep, about how she failed him. It seemed like so long ago, but now the memories were returning to her. Great.

Riku took off his vest and zip-up shirt before crawling into bed beside Lightning, just like last night, but he had a feeling things would be different tonight. That was why he propped his elbow up and rested his head in his hand, lying on his side as he faced her. He hoped she wouldn't have any nightmares; that was hard to watch.

Light rolled onto her side and faced Riku, one hand on the pillow in front of her as she looked at him. She wondered why he didn't put his head down on the pillow; was there something he had to say or do before he went to sleep?

"...You want to talk about anything?" Riku asked softly, his eyes resting on the girl he loved. Nightmares were usually lingering thoughts in the mind that someone never got off their chest, and Riku didn't want Lightning going through another one again. She needed a peaceful rest.

"Do you?" Light asked with an arched brow, not able to think of why Riku would be asking that question. She may have just thought about her nightmare a minute ago, but she didn't know Riku was thinking about it as well.

Riku shrugged a little, still holding his head up as he looked at Lightning. "I just want to make sure you're okay," he admitted quietly. He wanted her to be comfortable tonight, with him.

Why wouldn't I--Oh. Lightning didn't even have to finish the thought, her arched brow lowering. She wasn't quite alright because of the nightmare she had last night. "I should be okay," she said softly. "As long as I'm with you." As long as he made her feel like she didn't fail him, she would be alright.

Riku smiled weakly at the last few words, nodding slightly. "Alright then," he said softly. He lowered his head to the pillow, his arm going under his pillow. Then Lightning would be fine.

Light switched her gaze to the hand on her pillow, her eyes shutting a few moments after that. She could have stared at Riku for a while, but she was tired. Last night's sleep hadn't really been fulfilling.

"'Night, babe," Riku said, his eyes on Lightning even if she closed her eyes. He was a little startled by his pet name for her, this being the first time he'd actually used one. But it was okay. They were close enough, and they were in love.

Light smiled softly, Riku's pet name surprising her. But it was cute. "Goodnight," she responded quietly, unable to think of a name to call him in return. She'd have to work on that.

Riku closed his eyes, Light's face being the last thing he saw as he released a soft sigh. His body relaxed, and he knew that he would fall asleep within minutes.

Lightning's small smile remained at the sigh, able to tell Riku was content right now. "I love you," she whispered softly, unsure of whether or not he was still awake. Regardless, she said it, and she was glad she did. It was a statement she would never wish to retract, not when it came to Riku.

Riku felt his heart skip a beat at the words, and he knew he would never get tired of hearing them. "Love you too," he said quietly, keeping his eyes closed. He would see her in the morning.

Light scooted a little closer to Riku, her hand coming off the pillow and resting on his cheek instead. She opened her eyes briefly to look at him before she shut them, content with being this close to Riku.
