Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"Yup," Serah said with a small nod, getting up off her seat and standing up. She started walking back towards the person, looking him over. If she had to take a guess on who he was, she would guess it was Lightning's boyfriend. "Are you Riku?"
Riku blinked, hardly expecting Serah to know who he was. "Uh...yeah," he said with a small nod. Lightning must have mentioned him. For some reason, he was surprised.

Serah noticed the look of surprise on Riku's expression, and she smiled faintly. "It's not that hard to figure out," she said, stopping by him and looking up at his face. "Everybody knows each other around here, so I guessed you weren't from around here. But you knew Lightning, so..." It was simple logic. And besides, he just looked like a "Riku".
Riku smiled a little, nodding as he scratched his cheek. "Yeah..." he said. It was common sense then. He should have figured that.

Serah kept her warm smile, seeing how Riku wasn't a man of many words. He was like her sister, who kept her mouth shut most of the time. "Anyway...Lightning's not here right now," she said, getting back on topic. "But she should be here soon." She would probably go straight home, so maybe she and Riku should have waited there.
"Mm," Riku hummed softly, glancing away to look down the beach. Wherever Light was, it was obvious he was looking for her. "I was wondering about that... I haven't seen her for a few days." Riku turned his head to look back down at Serah. "How's she doing?"
  • Author
Serah looked away, her smile fading. How much should she reveal to Riku? He really needed to hear these things from Lightning, not her. "She's been busy," she said, not saying anything about her emotional state. "She reenlisted in the Guardian Corps yesterday."
Riku's eyebrows furrowed a little. "Really?" he asked softly. The Guardian Corps... That meant Lightning was planning to stay for a while, didn't it? Actually, she could be staying permanently.

"Mm," Serah hummed with a small nod, clasping her hands behind her back. She was running away from her problems. Last time Lightning joined the Corps, it was to be strong. She wanted to be strong enough to face any danger that came at her. But now, she was running away from her real problems.
Riku lowered his gaze to the sand underneath his feet. "Well..." he said softly. "That's good then. She'll be home." He smiled weakly, though it was somewhat forced as he looked back to Serah. She'd be with her family here on Cocoon.

Serah could tell that smile was forced, and so was the small one that she wore. She was wise beyond her years, able to see through most people and know what they were truly feeling. "Speaking of home, she should be there soon," she said. "I'll take you there." They needed to have a talk with Lightning.
Riku's smile faded away, and he nodded. "Alright, thanks," he said softly. He wasn't expecting to go to where Lightning lived, but if it was where he could find her, he was okay with it. He wanted to see her.

"Sure," Serah said with a small nod and a smile. She started walking, going past Riku and waving for him to come with her. She'd take him to Lightning's house, and the two of them would wait there for her to return.
Riku nodded once, starting after Serah silently. He felt the familiar sensation of the sand underneath his shoes as he followed her, and he missed home at just the feeling. He wanted his Island back, but it would have to wait. First, he wanted the love of his life in his arms.

Lightning reached her home before Riku and Serah did, taking a different path and not running into them. When she walked into her house and saw Serah wasn't around, she was a little glad. She should have been proud about her promotion, but the sinking feeling in her heart only continued to grow. She missed Riku. But she couldn't be a part of Riku's life; he had his family already, and she wasn't a part of it. She went into her room and collapsed onto the bed, face down. A few minutes later, she didn't hear the door open, her sister leading Riku inside.
Riku shut the front door behind him softly after Serah led him inside, his eyes roaming the house. This was...nice. Nicer than his house on the Islands anyway. And unique, just like Lightning.

Serah furrowed her eyebrows slightly, seeing a glass of water in the kitchen. She only remembered it wasn't there earlier because earlier, all the other dishes had been clean. "I think she might have beat us here," she said, glancing over her shoulder at Riku before she called to her sister. "Lightning?"
Riku glanced at Serah before he let his eyes roam the house again. It was definitely different than he was used to, but he would adjust. Lightning was here, and that was what mattered most.

She's probably in the bedroom, Serah thought when she didn't get a response. "C'mon," she said to Riku, waving for him to follow her as she started back towards her sister's room. Lightning had been awfully depressed lately, and whenever that was the case, she withdrew from people even more than she normally did. That wasn't good.
Riku's eyebrows furrowed a little, the boy thinking he sensed some worry within Serah. Regardless, he followed her through the house. He figured out that they weren't going to the living room or kitchen, which meant he was being led to Lightning's bedroom.

Serah reached Lightning's room a minute later, the door open. "Hey," she called, stopping in the doorway and looking at her sister on the bed. "Not asleep are you?"

"Not quite," Light responded, not bothering to move. But she spoke loudly enough for Serah to hear her, even if she did speak into a pillow. She wasn't really trying to sleep; she was just laying there. Tuning out the world for a while.

Riku couldn't see inside, so he kept his place out in the hall, since Serah was standing in the doorway. He heard the way Light spoke, and he instantly felt concern rise up within him. She sounded upset...

"Are you just going to lay there all day?" Serah asked with an arched brow. She certainly hoped not. But she also hoped Light didn't have plans so she could talk to their guest.

"No," Lightning said, shaking her head and pushing herself up. She turned and let her legs hang over the side of her bed, her gaze going to Serah. Her sister wouldn't let her stay in bed all day anyway; she had to do something with her day. "I'll go to the gym soon. Lieutenant Amador has me starting again tomorrow." She needed to stay in shape, and the boring job wouldn't help her with that.

The gym? Riku thought, keeping his spot beside the door, his back against the wall as he listened to the conversation in silence. That reminded him of what he was supposed to do...to protect Lightning. He had to get stronger.

"The gym can wait," Serah said, stepping into the room. "Someone's here to see you." She saw Lightning arch a brow at that, but Serah just turned around and saw Riku standing near the door, out of Light's vision. It was time those two saw each other again.
