Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Riku saw Serah looking at him, and he pushed himself away from the wall. That was his cue. He stepped forward, into the doorway as he set his hand on the frame. His eyes instantly found the woman he loved, sitting on her bed.

Lightning's gaze changed from curious and suspicious to surprised, the young woman looking from Riku to Serah and then back again to her boyfriend. They knew each other? How was that possible?

Serah shrugged at Light's confused expression, able to tell what her sister was thinking. "Found him on the beach," she said. "He was looking for you, so I brought him here." It wasn't all that complicated.

Riku nodded once to back up Serah's statement, a weak smile forming on his lips. "Hey, Light," he greeted softly. She was a sight for sore eyes, that was for sure.

"Hey," Light greeted after a moment, recovering from her surprise. Riku must have come to this world looking for her, then. It was coincidence that he ran into Serah and Serah led him to Light. Coincidence...or fate? No, that wasn't possible. She wasn't meant to be a part of his world.
Riku's smile remained on his face, though he did arch an eyebrow at Lightning's delayed response. Was she okay? He figured it was just because he randomly showed up, so he didn't think much of it. It was no big deal.

Awkward silence, Serah thought, correcting that problem in a minute. "How'd it go with Amador?" she asked her sister, seeing her cringe at how she didn't call him "lieutenant".

"It was fine," Lightning said with a small shrug. "He told me what my new job was and gave me a new shoulder guard to show my rank." She motioned to it slightly, the stripes glowing blue instead of yellow.

"You got promoted?" Riku asked, leaning his shoulder against the doorframe and crossing his arms. He smirked. "Nice, Light." He didn't know she was due for one of those, or that she was thinking about going back into the Corps. Why hadn't she said anything?

Light smiled faintly despite her concerns with Riku, hands clasped in her lap. "Officer Farron at your service," she said, seeing Serah smile as well. Even if her sister didn't agree with her rejoining the Guardian Corps, she was proud of Light's accomplishments.
"Hm," Riku hummed softly, his smirk still on his lips. But behind the expression, he was a little...sad. He couldn't stay here with her, where she would reside permanently from now on. He would hardly see her, since she would be busy with work anyway. So...what would happen to them?

Awkward silence again? Serah thought in disbelief. She gave Lightning a look, knowing what she was thinking about with Riku. She planned on breaking up with him. But Serah didn't want her to; Riku seemed like a good guy. "I'm going to go make lunch," she decided. "Why don't you two catch up? I'll let you know when it's ready." She hoped Light took this chance to only catch up with Riku, not break his heart.
Riku pushed himself away from the door at that, and he stepped further into the room so Serah could get by. Lunch? He hadn't planned on staying that long... Actually, he hadn't planned anything. He just...showed up.

Light watched Serah go, having caught the look her sister gave her. But after what happened on Gran Pulse a few days ago, she knew she was making the right call with this. At least, that was what she told herself.
Once Serah was gone, Riku turned his attention back to Light. He felt tension in the air, and he wasn't sure why, but it caused him to scratch his cheek. "So...how've you been?" he asked, lowering his hand to his side as he looked to the person he loved. Was she doing alright? He hadn't talked to her in a few days.

"Okay," Light said with a faint nod, lying. "How about you?" She asked that question because she didn't want him asking about her response right away. And...she cared, even when she told herself she shouldn't have. She should have pushed him out of her life, so he was with the people he really belonged with. His real family.
Riku shrugged a little, leaning back against the wall. "Okay too, I guess," he said softly. He wasn't sure how things were going to go with his parents now, after what he told them a few hours ago. But he would survive.

Light hummed, nodding faintly as well. She didn't bother asking about what happened in the past few days, because if she was meant to know, Riku would tell her soon enough.
"...Sorry I stopped in so suddenly," Riku said, his eyes still on Lightning. "I had to get away from my parents for a bit." He was scared he put them in danger, and now that they knew about the Keyblade, it was probably worse. But after what happened with the Islands, he couldn't hide it anymore.

"Something happen?" Light asked with an arched brow, unable to help herself. She did care, whether she was supposed to or not. So, if something was wrong, she wanted to know.
Riku nodded a little, his eyebrows furrowing deeply over his aqua-colored eyes. "I had to tell them about the Keyblade," he said lowly. "I left before they could really say anything." They'd been silent for too long. It was...awkward.

Lightning hummed and nodded again, her arched brow lowering. That made sense; it must have been a hard thing, too. His parents had no clue that their son was so extraordinary. But now they knew.
Riku stuffed one of his hands in the front pocket of his jeans, his eyes on Light. "...I had to see you," he admitted quietly. "I didn't know what else to do." She was all he could think about, and the only person he wanted to be with.

Light felt her eyes soften, her gaze staying on Riku. "I don't know how to help," she said softly. She wanted to, she just...didn't feel like she could. Not only did Riku not belong with her, but she couldn't let herself get close to Riku. She always ended up failing her family and friends. Always.
"Doesn't matter," Riku replied with a small shake of his head. "Being with you is enough for right now." He didn't want to ask for anything, mostly because he didn't know what to ask for. But, just being with her was good enough for him.

Lightning looked down, lifting a hand and tucking back some of her soft pink hair. Being with her...physically and emotionally. That was what Riku was referring to. But she was about to sever the emotional connection, because she was going to break up with him. She had to.
Riku noticed that Light didn't respond, and she looked away. But why? "...What?" he asked softly. What was wrong?
