Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Roxas nodded once, his smile softening. "Good to see you," he said sincerely. He had been worried about Sora, since he'd just run off without really telling anyone. What was up with that?

Sora was about to respond to Roxas, but then he noticed Namine stop next to her boyfriend and look at him. When her eyes met his, he could tell that she knew what happened between him and Kairi.

"Hi Sora," Namine said with a soft smile, seeing behind his composed mask and seeing that he wasn't really doing too good. But he was polite as always, smiling weakly and nodding to her.

Roxas turned his head to look down at the girl standing beside him. His soft expression remained, and then he switched his gaze back to his best friend. Because he was so clueless, Roxas had no idea why Sora ran away from home. He could only think that the reason why Kairi was crying was because he was gone without warning. He didn't know where she was now, though, but she would regret missing this...

Sora looked from Namine to Roxas, feeling his Nobody's gaze on him. He really didn't know what to say, so he didn't bother wasting his breath and saying something pointless. Honestly, he didn't care if it was the middle of the day; he was tired. Maybe he would go home and crawl into his bed when this little reunion was over. And maybe he would never come out. Aqua hadn't said he couldn't mope in his house; she had just forced him to come home.
Roxas's smile faded after a minute, the blond tilting his head as he looked at Sora. Something didn't feel right, but again, he was completely out of the loop here. He wondered where Sora went while he was gone, but if he was really curious about that, he would just ask Aqua later. It probably wasn't that important anyway.
  • Author
...But Sora couldn't neglect the two people in front of him. They actually seemed to care about him still. Even if they weren't his childhood friends, they were still important to him. He couldn't risk losing them too.
Roxas turned his head to look at Namine. Did she notice anything was wrong? Because if not, maybe he was just looking too far into things... He lifted a hand to the back of his head. "So..."

"...It's almost sunset," Namine said, recovering for Roxas when he trailed off. "Let's all go watch the sunset together on the island." Hopefully the sunset would bring Sora some kind of peace after everything...

Sora instinctively turned to look at the island where he and his friends used to watch the sunset every night together, and he felt sad. If he ran into Kairi or Riku, it would definitely be there. But looking at the dock nearby, he could see that their boats were still here, so the island was empty.

"Yeah," Roxas agreed with a nod, a small smile forming. He turned his eyes to look at Sora, tilting his head. "Whaddaya say?" It was like a day ritual, to go watch the sunset. Surely Sora wouldn't skip out on it, right?
  • Author
Sora really didn't want to do that ritual without Riku and Kairi, but he nodded to Roxas and Namine anyway. "Alright," he said with a faint nod. He would go, since he didn't want to upset them by staying no.
Roxas nodded once more. "Great," he said, turning his eyes to Namine. "Let's go." They could get there in a few minutes if they left now, and they would have plenty of time to settle down and find a good place to watch on the islet.
  • Author
Namine nodded with a soft smile, turning and walking towards the dock. They had a little bit of time, so there was no rush for them to get over. But she had a feeling things would be pretty quiet; Sora looked like he was really sad. And tired.
Roxas watched Namine go and then glanced back at Sora. He offered his friend a small smile before going after his girlfriend, heading for the dock to get in their boats.

It didn't take long for the three of them to reach the island and tie up their boats to the dock. Now the three of them were on the islet by the Paopu tree, Sora sitting between Roxas and Namine on the trunk. He hadn't spoken in a while, and now he just focused on the sky in front of him.
Roxas had his hands on the trunk beside him, staring out at the sun as it started to lower against the horizon. "You know what Axel told me once?" he started softly. "The reason that the sun sets red is because of all the colors, red is the one that travels the farthest." He turned his head to look at both Sora and Namine. "Pretty cool, huh?"
  • Author

Sora nodded slightly, keeping his eyes on the sunset. He didn't bother with a verbal response, his nod got his point across just fine. He supposed that it was pretty cool that red traveled the furthest, but he couldn't focus on pointless things like that right now.

"That is cool," Namine said with a soft nod, looking past Sora to see Roxas looking over at her and their other friend. She had never heard such a fact before.

Roxas smiled a little, nodding once. He tore his eyes away from Namine and looked back at the sky. "...Axel always knew a lot more than me," he admitted. "I used to make fun of him for it." He smiled weakly then, remembering his best friend from the Organization. He missed him...

Kairi took Riku's offered hand, climbing out of her boat and onto the deck at the island. She noticed that a few other boats were here, but she figured they were Ven, Terra, and Aqua's, or Roxas and Namine's. Sora wasn't back...and hadn't been for the last week. She felt awful really, and she was sure that showed by her red eyes, both in that state because of her sorrow and her lack of sleep.

  • Author
Namine smiled softly, able to picture that. "Axel always was a bit of a show-off, wasn't he?" she mused, shifting her gaze to the sunset. That was the impression she had of him, anyway. And by how Roxas described him, it seemed like he would have that kind of personality.

Roxas laughed a little. "Yup," he said, confirming Namine's guess. Axel sure was, and he was probably showing off wherever he was now...after everything. But Roxas was sure he was okay...or at least he hoped so. He didn't want his friend to suffer in death.

Riku put his hand on Kairi's upper back after tying their boats to the dock, guiding her away from it so they could go watch the sunset. He felt really, really bad. He couldn't do anything to help her, mostly because he wasn't sure what to do. And he was dealing with his own share of problems. It was an unfortunate situation, that really took a toll on both of them...and obviously Sora too.

Sora heard Namine laugh softly beside him, but he didn't join in, his eyes set on the sunset. It was getting lower in the sky, and as soon as it was gone, they would all probably head back to the mainland. He was fine with that, actually fighting the urge to nod off now. He was so tired...
Kairi walked beside Riku, her eyes trained down on the sand that she walked across. She was exhausted, sad, confused, scared... It all a terrible combination. How much more could she take?
  • Author
"...I always forget to bring my sketchpad so I can draw the sunset," Namine said after a few minutes of silence. She had been meaning to do that for a long time, but she always forgot about it. One of these days, she would remember.

Roxas leaned forward, looking past Sora so he could see the girl he loved. "How long has it been since you've drawn, anyway?" he asked, genuine curiosity in his voice. He hadn't seen her sketch anything in a long time...

Riku opened the door for Kairi when they reached the shack, and then he followed her inside. They walked up the stairs and he held the door open for the redhead again, and once she stepped outside he did too. His eyes went forward, Riku not really able to see who was sitting on the Paopu tree because of the glare of the sun.

Namine glanced over at Roxas before she looked to the sky, thinking it over. When she couldn't recall the last time she drew, she gave a general answer. "A long time," she said, trying to keep the sadness out of her voice. It had been too long.

Roxas smiled softly at Namine. "You'll have to pick that up again," he said with a nod. He liked to watch her draw; it was somehow calming. Plus, she had a lot more to draw here on the islands.

Kairi walked beside Riku across the bridge and when they were a little more than halfway, she lifted her eyes to the islet. She saw three silhouettes, and on one of them, the hair was enough to give away the identity. Kairi stopped walking, her eyes widening. Oh no...

Riku stopped walking a few steps ahead of Kairi, arching an eyebrow at her. He saw her expression, but he was confused. What was wrong?
